I love this place.
The lady (owner?) had just opened when we got there. Like every other restaurant/bar in Nice you can never know for sure when they open. And it does not help checking social media either, you just have to go there and hope for the best. The opening hours should be correct though (since I read it in the window).
We decided to sit outside due to the nice weather. We were quickly told that it was not a bad and that we had to order food (due to some law?). We felt this was a bit cold, but decided to go for a platter of cheese and meat. She explained later why it was like that and even though we do not understand French law we sort of understood why.
Nice outdoor area and it is also quite cozy indoors. Wine racks on the walls and a rustic theme throughout the place.
So - the wine. She asked us what we wanted and gave us some recommendations. It was clearly that this lady knew what she was talking for. We tried a sweet white wine first, my second glass was a wine named Cul Sec! (which reminded me a little of Chianti). Very happy with both wines!
All in all, good service, and after a while we started talking a little with her and the coldness disappeared.
Price for wine was good 4.5, but I think the platter was on the expensive part.
Would go here if ever in Nice again! read more
