5 reasons proving that we have found a GREAT dentist in Fleming Island…read more First, they REALLY care about your dental health. They will let you know if you aren't keeping up with your dental hygiene or need some work done to keep your mouth healthy. Second, I trust them. Some dentists, especially those working for large chains, try to upsell you with every visit. When Dr. Vanbenthuysen tells me I need a service, I never doubt it. Third, the office staff is friendly and efficient. Fourth, the hygienists are efficient and thorough. Fifth, finally, and most importantly, Dr. Vanbenthuysen. I had some invasive work done, and I received a call from the doctor later that evening asking me how it was going. WHO DOES THAT ANYMORE? If you want a good family dentist it would be hard to find a better one.

But you can charge a no show fee.... If you need a dentist please pick another one. This dentist Dr Stroud should never be recommended to anyone. K I med my nasal cavity so my nose now runs all the time after he completed my surgery. He never read my notes before trying to start my surgery that I was supposed to be put in twilight. Just walked up and was getting ready to complete my surgery. I looked at him and said who are you? He said Dr stroud, I said why do I know you are here, he looked at me puzzled. During his surgery I threw up 4 times and I heard him say suction her throat and make sure there is nothing back there... I remember every crunching sound and more...when surgery was finally over they wheeled me out with a biohazard bag because I still felt nauseous. When I got to my car I needed to throw up and to no shock to me they NEVER gave me the biohazard bag to throw up in... so please DO NOT GIVE THIS OFFICE YOUR MONEY. Find an office that cares about patient care and respect of the patients time. Dr David would be So unhappy with how his legacy has changed. I should have put the pieces together when all of his staff left shortly after is unexpected passing. I have a 5 year contract for maintenance that I have paid for and this office is supposed to honor that. Since the dentist is still here. They have stated they are doing it as a courtesy. Marion spoke to me on 11/11/25 and notated that Dr Stroud is not to be in my room and today because I am standing ground I can no longer be seen here. To top it off Marion is stating she never spoke to me on 11/11/25, but my notes say I did as I have her name written down for reference. First of all I didn't pick this place for Dr Stroud, I picked it because of Dr David.

Woke up to my dog puking and pooping blood all over the house, and an emergency vet appointment was needed. There was no way I could make a 9am appointment and called to reschedule. Was told that I would be charged $50 for not giving 24 hours' notice. I hadn't even had the appointment for 24 hours, so that is a ridiculous statement. They said I am being charged because I canceled another appointment in 2022....2 years ago. I really enjoyed Dr. Porter, but not this practice. I understand that people are flaky and don't show up for appointments. However, there is also something called common courtesy for those of us who are legitimately dealing with a crisis. I've got a $250 vet bill from yesterday and now another bill for nothing. Update: I received a phone call that the fee was being waived, and the woman even asked how my dog was. Someone also responded to my review, saying they would waive the fee. However, I have now received a 2nd bill for a "no show fee" of $50. And the kicker is there isn't even a phone number for me to contact someone. It is literally 000-000-0000. WOW!
