First they started to take X-rays and I asked them to confirm that this was covered by insurance since I thought I had recently had them taken. Very rude brunette hygienist acted annoyed, but asked front desk staff and confirmed these were covered by insurance and that I wouldn't be charged. A month later they sent me bill for over $100 for these X-rays. I explained I just wanted a cleaning, no extras, no flouride, etc. Again she acted annoyed and kept probing on why I didn't want the flouride treatment. Asked if it was too expensive, don't believe in it, etc. Huh? Since when do I need to explain my reason for wanting or not wanting a medical procedure to a hygienist? Then after taking extra X-rays she tells I need an extra procedure with anesthesia so they can do a deeper cleaning which of course will cost another couple hundred bucks AND I'll need to reschedule because they "don't have time to do it now"! She gave me an estimate for this extra procedure and added the fluoride treatment BACK IN! So she wasted my time, tried to aggressively upsell me like a used car salesman, overcharged me for X-rays I didn't need and still didn't clean my teeth! Patient beware, this office is totally rude and unprofessional and must be desperate for $ to push their staff to upsell like this.

I scheduled an appointment for my boyfriend at smiles so he could have a checkup and he needed fill ins. We both have the same insurance plans which is why I recommended Smiles. My most recent visit informed me that when he came in for his appointment, not only did they "forget" to tell him our insurance is no longer in network, they also used MY $653 credit towards his bill. Why would they wait after I drove an hour to tell me that my insurance wasn't in network? Mind you, they confirmed my appointment and I was told they even put a note in my account. Was common courtesy not thought of? No resolution was offered, instead they said sorry and handed me a new bill. This man is not my husband, he is my BOYFRIEND. Why was the money I PUT IN MY ACCOUNT, put towards someone else's bill, boyfriend or not. I am out of $653 dollars, drove an hour and no one told us our insurance wasn't covered?
