My husband talked me into coming here(an hour away) because I was looking for a new dentist. My…read moreexperience with Dr. Sanders and his team has thus far been impressive. The facility is nice, clean, quite pretty, and Christian music played in the background. Every person there, including the receptionist, made me feel as welcomed as possible. I felt important, and like they truly wanted me there. Being military, I've been to dentists across the country over the past 20+ years, none have been as kind and personable as this crew. They made an effort to get to know me and even joke around with me. They even remembered my husband's visit when I mentioned him. I've never felt so seen and pampered in a dentist office before. When it came to my teeth, I knew a lot of work needed to be done. So far, my out of pocket costs have been be approximately 70 percent less than Aspen tried to charge me. That being said, there was some kind of misunderstanding that almost made me call and cancel my next appt and find a new dentist. It was related to insurance coverage, which by the way, they are in network with United Concordia. With the extra work I needed, my insurance doesn't cover very much, so I was left paying a lot out of pocket(still much less than Aspen). I had a large filling from a molar crumble and turn back into a cavity, so they insisted on using porcelain for durability. Porcelain is very expensive and my insurance doesn't cover it, so that's where the confusion was. I was left wondering if they were in network because I'd never paid more than 30 dollars for a filling in my life. I didn't know there were different types of fillings, as I'm not a dentist. If I were to improve something about this office, I would have them send home an estimated and itemized list of service costs so that the client can have it in hand to review and organize financials prior to the next visit. From stepping foot inside for the first time, until I left, the team continuously checked to see how I was doing, made me feel as comfortable as possible, offered me a spirit-free cocktail, coffee, water, etc. They were gentle with my teeth, informative, answered every question I had thoroughly. The Dr. walked me up to reception after and made sure I was ok before leaving. I even received a hand written note in the mail with a small token of appreciation. I truly feel like Dr. Sanders and his team care about their patients. I do recommend their services to others and I'll be passing along their info to our military group.

I tried this place because it was closer than my original dentist I've been seeing every six…read moremonths. When I visited, they told me I had fifteen cavities. I was shocked. With that, they came up with a treatment plan, spent time calling my insurance and scheduling the next four appointments to treat. I was there over an hour and didn't get my teeth cleaned for my semi annual cleaning. Instead they wanted to do a $350 gum treatment - which I did agree to do and had done that day. At first, I blamed myself for not flossing enough, aging, maybe the medication I had taken over the last year. I also thought, maybe this dentist has better technology and can see my cavities. But I had some family and friends encourage me to get a second opinion - which I did and confirmed I didn't have fifteen cavities but only one. I hate to feel like I was taken advantage of in this situation, but I just don't know any other way to explain what happened here.

On 2/6 around 9am, I contacted The dental office to relay information from my insurance company to…read moreresubmit the claim. because we have two ins carriers, there is an order in which they should be submitted...The Receptionist lost her cool after I told her and I won't be able to pay the 1700 bill & the insurance will cover it. My first statement to her was that I could not hear her if she is yelling . She proceeded to talk over me saying she was not yelling and I needed to listen to her. I listened ... she yelled, "when you go into Publix 'to buy chicken..." I ignored that because it was obvious she was vibrating low on this good Monday morning. I said Ma'am, we aren't talking about Publix, we are talking about you resubmitting a claim like Jen used to do when the insurance company gave any pushback. I guess that was good, old fashioned, long gone customer service. Thanks Jen, wherever you are. It is certainly my responsibility and I will handle it with the companies we pay to cover these expenses. The next thing I told her was that she was being extremely unprofessional. It was early so obviously no one was in the waiting area... she was loud. Still talking over me, she proceeded to tell me that they were very professional taking care of me and my family. She's 95% correct there; however, let's bring it to the current moment.... Her behavior is unacceptable and anyone in the office on Monday morning can vouch for that. I understand she's upset about not getting her money right away, but I'll continue to do my best to get it resolved. The meantime, go ahead and take me and my family off the books. As soon as I resolve the matter, I will be transferring our 4 sets of dental records elsewhere. There is no way I can ignore that type of abuse and continue to bring my family there for dental services. I went into the office the following morning Because I didn't want to chance not making progress By getting Mrs Lee ( obviously who she is because she is sooooo mad) on the phone with all that yelling and no listening. I was able to speak to a different representative who canceled all future appointments and also had called and received the information I was trying to relay. Let me mention, that throughout my conversation with the other young lady, the Asian lady kept jumping up to bring me policies, and to tell me she isn't listening to me because I don't pay my bills, and how she's sending me to collections. I told her to send it. If that's your job, do it. In the meantime I'll be getting someone else to pay this bill- the insurance company). I'm not new to this, I know all of my responsibilities, rights, laws, credit and all. You'll get paid. I'll remove your bad mark. Wala! Everyone will be happy. Well, I don't know about you. You're mean. She also wanted me to say thank you, and I Obliged. Sorry for the delay; however, someone needs to have a serious talk with her-even though we all know she won't listen- or doesn't have to listen, but try some water yoga or meditation bc she went berserk on the phone and in person. Just crazy

I would recommend this office to anyone, especially if you have dental anxiety I've never had a tooth pulled before and got all four of my wisdom teeth removed under IV sedation. When I first started going there, the staff was attentive and caring. Over time, however, I felt they became more focused on making money than providing quality patient care. Their attitude became arrogant, and the level of care declined significantly. This week, I went in for a routine dental cleaning. The hygienist immediately started taking X-rays without greeting me or explaining what she was doing. I had already had a full set of X-rays during my previous visit, so I asked whether they were really necessary. I also asked if I needed a protective lead apron. She seemed irritated and replied, "You don't need it, but you can have it anyway." She then continued taking the X-rays. After that, the dentist came in, examined my teeth for about five minutes, and left. The hygienist then used a water flosser and told me I was finished. There was no actual cleaning, no polishing, no scaling, and no discussion about scheduling my next cleaning. I expressed my concerns to the front desk before leaving. Unfortunately, no one apologized or addressed my concerns. They told me someone from the front office would call me, but I never received a call. I also had a root canal and crown done at this clinic. After the crown was placed, I experienced severe pain. When I returned two days later, they told me the crown had not been aligned properly and corrected it. While I appreciated that they fixed the issue, I was disappointed that there was no apology for the inconvenience and pain I experienced. Because of these experiences, I will never return to this clinic. One of my coworkers also had a disappointing experience. He told me that the office called him just 30 minutes before his appointment to cancel it. I'm surprised that a clinic built its reputation on its patients but now seems to show so little respect and care for them. In my opinion, patient care has declined significantly, and I can no longer recommend this practice.
