I'll give them 2 stars for completing the job but they continuously had hold ups winding up in asking for more money. First they don't paint stucco and it's in their contract under the fine print. So when you go see the job it's only half done. Then they leave things half done and ask for more $ when you ask why it's not completed. They are very aggressive at getting your business and call you quite often to get it. But be sure to read the fine print in their contracts and ask what exactly will be done. Would not use them again. read more

Vivax's had their project manager, Carlos, who came out and did the pre-paint walk through, and stopped by each day to check on progress and do the pre and final walk through. Ramon and his crew were polite and did a fine job on our home. Ramon took care of final touch ups which we were quite happy with. Vivax has a solid warranty and we are very happy with the overall paint job on our home. read more

Great company! Took care of the issue in a professional manner. Happy with the service, especially with the project manager Buck who is very reliable and professional. read more

Vivax painted our house when we moved in, over a decade ago, and we were happy with the service, so we thought we'd give them a try again. The house looks really nice, and the wood work that was done looks good. 4 stars because the walkthrough was excellent and the result looks nice. Customer service gets about 2 1/2- 3. We booked the job in the late fall 2021 for June 2022, and were able to put down a $50 deposit for off season pricing. They did a walk through to determine which woodwork was needed in the fall, and then a follow up in May. We had some miscommunication regarding the woodwork that was to be replaced on our shed, and I wanted to add a broken door frame that none of us caught, after the follow up. In the meantime, our job was moved up to May. The project manager pushed the job up without asking if we were good with that, even though she knew we were trying to coordinate with the woodworking department to get the door frame repaired. She asked if she could do a walk through and prep one morning, and paint the next week, then next thing I knew, they were going ahead with painting that day. The woodworking department declined to fix our door frame, as well as the shed door that got worse over the winter, so I had to hustle and repair the door frame myself before the painting team got to that part. I also had to create a solution to the shed door problem where the latch is rotting out. I didn't say, no, don't paint today, but when you have a crew already masking and ready to go, what would you say? I rolled with it. I felt like the communication between departments was lacking, and with me as the customer needed more questions, more listening and more help on the woodworking side to solve the issues that cropped up over the winter. I'm mostly happy with the end result. We may go elsewhere next time though. read more

Worst painting company ever. Extremely sexists against women. Extremely messy, unprofessional, late, and disrespectful. They left paint everywhere it shouldn't be and they didn't paint most spots they should. Avoid at all costs!! read more

The phrase "I'll call you" does not apply to these guys. They will not stop calling me. I have a feeling if they have to constantly repeat call people to drum up business that there must be a reason. If I want your business I'll contact you. Otherwise leave me alone. read more

Had to get warranty work done again. Surprise surprise I had to get them back out because they didn't scrape the old paint before putting on new paint. I easily peeled everything up with my fingers. This is after I showed them the paint was peeling up and asked them to scrape it. Didn't even really sand. Too many spot to go over that they didn't get to. read more

Vivax Pros - More example of them not scraping and you can see the plaint is separating from the wood and all they did was paint over it. - Painters Near Me - Denver, Colorado

So I can't actually speak to the quality of Vivax's work, because they never got to me. They were supposed to come out and do a powerwash, but they never did. They did send a sales guy out to give me a quote on painting the trim around my house. He quoted me more than TWICE what other companies have quoted. I'm giving them the benefit of the doubt on the quality of actual painting work, so they get two stars instead of one. read more

Vivax painted the exterior of my home and I had a good experience with them, they really did a great job. I chose them since they had a good price and fairly favorable review from the previous two yelpers ( Thanks Guys ). I also noticed that when asking for neighors opinions I would get an equal number of horror stories and glowing endorsements for each painting company I was considering, so I went with my fellow Yelpers opinions and am glad I did so. Two caveats: (1) The sales person you will first meet to quote your job will be slick and you will likely think he/she is great and they will tell you not to hesitate to call if you need anything. Don't choose Vivax based upon wanting to work with this person. You will only see them this one time and then they are on to their next sale no matter what they tell you. After selecting Vivax your job is transfered to project manager, who you will then work with. (2) They contract the actual painting out to a pool of their contractors, so Vivax peeps won't actually be painting your house. In my case it was a bunch of Mexicans who couldn't speak much english but they were great workers and were really nice. read more

This experience took two weeks out of our life. It was very painful to get a (subcontracted) crew of theirs to do the painting job right. The price was great. The Sherman-Williams paint is the best. The carpentry work was excellent. Those equal the 1 star. The negatives are many: poor attention to detail. Cannont paint straight lines. Rework and rework and rework and rework.... ad nauseum. Resanded off thier messed up paint, and ruined the woodwork, taking straight lines under the windows to very visible wavy lines... because they were disgruntled, I'm sure. If you have much patience, and don't mind going through very sloppy phases of painting, only to have to complain to have it redone, and then again, and then again, and then again, and it still not right, go ahead, hire these folks who then hire subcontractors to do their job. Else, look for a highly rated review and read all the reviews. Our home does now look great... from a distance. But come this spring, we will be doing some painting to correct several big errors (like painting the rest of the porch facing which was completely missed). I took scores of pictures as the process evolved to highlight to the company all the messed-up painting, completely missed areas, smudges everywhere, etc. The company was very condescending in their response (yes, even laughing). I say avoid them if you can... read more

Had Vivax come out and paint a room at my mothers home. The price for the work I saw completed was stunning. I have to think you can find better value elsewhere... It is "professional" but it is also painting. Will look elsewhere next time. read more

Vivax Pros were our first choice to paint our home, and the service they provided was outstanding. From the first meeting with our project planner, Matt to our project coordinator, Mackenzie to our amazing project manager Brian "Buck" Buckley, and the crew themselves the experience was top notch and professional. I would recommend Vivax Pros to anyone looking to get your home painted and you want it to look like a Million dollars. read more

Amazing process from estimate visit with Lana to work completed. Every person who handled our project was attentive and eager to help. Our project manager Hunter came by the house pretty much every three hours along the way to check on the progress of work by the amazing Domingo! (great painter and all around nice guy!) When it was time for the final walk through. Hunter found small imperfections before I did! He sincerely wanted to make sure everything was perfect! The work has transformed our house to one of the best on the block :) Thanks Lana, Breanna, Domingo & Hunter! :) read more

I am giving this a one star due to the fact that it's a crap shoot if you get a good painting crew or a very very bad one. We were the winners of a very very bad one. We believed the cute, 20 something "rep" coming out to give us an estimate. She forgot to include some costly repairs in our estimate, which then put Vivax the highest of our 3 estimates (didn't notice that til the day they came to "prep"). They dont tell you that ALL the work is subcontracted out. Vivax has hundreds of crews all over Colorado. Who showed up was 3 guys that didn't speak English, parked their broken down van and leaked oil all over my driveway. You get the picture. The first thing they do is cover all of your windows with plastic so you wont have any airflow for days, and you also can't see what they are doing. What they did was about 3 hours of scraping and calking. We have a very large house that needed about a solid week of prep work. They also have your paint delivered to your house days before the project so they can start spraying your house right away, regardless if it's ready. They sprayed over dirt, mud and even a 4 inch by 4 inch spider "nest". They claim that prep is 90% of a great paint job...I think we got 1%. I know some people are very happy with Vivax...but they got a good crew. If you use them, just try and have them come when Jupiter and Mars are visible because you are playing the odds. read more

I had an exceptionally positive experience with Vivax. I had them come out last November for a bid, as I wanted to get my house entirely repainted as soon as possible once Spring 2013 hit. I was very impressed with the professionalism of the saleswoman they sent, I appreciated the abundance of information provided in their packets, etc and was immediately impressed with their communication of a timeline for my job once I agreed to the bid. Once the time was approaching for the job to begin in March, they sent a proactive email reminding me of their start date and time line of power wash, etc. They sent emails along the way keeping me informed of who was my contact regarding woodwork and day to day stuff. I appreciated the time they spent doing the walk through before the job and the update phone calls I received from the job supervisor. I realized after the woodwork was completed that they had missed a spot, as we had had our deck redone since the original woodwork bid and that had left a spot that needed repair that wasn't originally discussed. They quickly came out to review it, called me with a bid, and were able to squeeze in the fix before the painting started. Painting was quick, and high quality. During the final walk through we noticed a strange discoloration to the paint in the rear of the house. The supervisor guy thought it might be a paint defect so he worked with the painting supplier, but while they were figuring out who would pay to fix it (Vivax or paint company- not me!) the paint fixed itself. We ultimately think it was something to do with the timing of paint/weather/drying. It looks perfectly fine now so we didn't have to worry. And they guaranteed me that if the discoloration returned, they would repaint at no cost to us. Overall, I appreciated their straightforward approach, ongoing communication, quality guarantee and feel like they were worth what I spent. They weren't the cheapest, but quality and care doesn't often come with the cheapest. I also referred a coworker whose job they just completed and I already received my $50 referral bonus! I would give them 5 stars, but I have nothing to compare them to as this is the first full exterior house painting I've had to do. Thus, my 4 star rating. I will continue to refer them and will use them for any future needs. read more

They were so amazing! They were so responsive and did great work. They really know what they are doing. I have absolutely no complaints and would highly recommend them! They have now completed the work and but Hector kept me continually updated on the progress of my project. read more

Painters seem to be a dime a dozen these days and most of the operations are ran out of a garage or basement. Vivax operates on an entirely different scale than most of the competition. They have teams of project managers, painters and estimators. Like some of the other reviews have said they do have an assembly line type of process where you will work with a few different people on the team, but most organizations do. Their system seems to work with them and their pricing shows that they aren't out to rip anyone off. When I look for contractors I always try to get at least three estimates. Price, quality, and word of mouth are just a few things that help me make decisions and Vivax scored well in all of these categories. They paint more houses in the Denver area than most of their competition combined. As I said painting companies can be hit or miss, but Vivax seems to try and hold themselves to a higher standard. I would recommend! read more

We got a few bids and we thought Vivax offered the most value. A lot of our neighbors had gone with them, now we know why. The crew and manager arrived early- wonderful! I've already referred a couple people and we will use them again. read more

Well, I will say, I am surprised and happy that some companies out there still care about their work and happiness of their Clients. Upon leaving my review of Vivax, I was contacted within 2 days. Vivax wanted to come in and review their work. We reviewed the areas at didn't go well and they went above and beyond to make things right. No arguing, no back pedaling, just straight customer service. The areas that stuck out like a sore thumb now look how we wanted and we can enjoy our home. From what I understand, Vivax address the issues that caused this occurrence, and has reworked their process. Great to see a company that willing to address failures to make their customer experience better. Very good. read more

Efficient, polite and completed the job in one day! Highly recommended! Did the entire exterior, using 5 colors and the house looks great!

Full disclosure, I did not use Vivax for a job so I can't comment on quality. What I can comment on is that their pricing is way way out whack. I just had a hustla salesman come over and bid a job at my house that was literally twice as high as my highest bid for almost half the work. I basically laughed the guy out of my house with his adorable marketing materials. They have a heavy sales pitch but please, please shop around. Let's just say it's the kind of business the Trump would approve. Generally, the house-painting industry is shady. The big boys generally send over highly polished white dudes to sell the jobs, and then they pay Mexican immigrants to do all the work while they collect all the profits. Far more money normally put into marketing than management. read more

Vivaxpro painted two rentals that I own in Colorado Springs. Both of the jobs were delayed due to problems with the painting crews. One house was painted the wrong color. All in all the houses did get finished with the correct paint. Touch-ups and cleanup of paint trash and other items had to be done more than one time on both houses, prior to payment to complete the paint jobs to my satisfaction. Address numbers were left off houses in both cases. The jobs took entirely too long. Michael did help to complete the projects himself after the paint crews were fired. The only reason I gave 2 stars was because of Michael's follow up calls to me. read more

So far I have only scheduled with Vivax, they will be painting the house more than a month from now and I wanted to be sure to put my comments out there before I forget. I'll try to update this post to include quality and service for the actual painting when available. As far as front end customer service goes, they could not be better. They were professional over the phone when scheduling the quote and followed up with an email. The estimator arrived on time and was extremely professional. He took his time making the necessary measurements and discussing options with us. The quote was detailed with line item cost for woodwork which gives me confidence that if anything comes up later, it will be very clear whether or not it was in the original bid and assurance that any change order, if necessary, will be priced consistently and fairly. Their price is quite reasonable. After receiving a quote, they followed up by phone the next day to schedule the services and followed that call with a detailed email documenting everything. We're painting our house to sell it, so it was a plus that their warranty is transferable to the next homeowner. I'm looking forward to the actual painting. read more

I contacted Vivax to contract them to paint my Greeley house because of the June hailstorm. When I first talked to them, the woman I dealt with sid that she would have to talk to her supervisor for permission because I live in Boulder. I indicated that I had an onsite manager who was capable of handling this. I wanted to get the job scheduled as I knew there was a demand for repair work because of the storm. I was told that she had to contact her supervisor and would get back to me - even called back the same day saying she "didn't want to leave me hanging" but hand't talked to the supervisor that day. She would give me an answer the next day. NEVER HEARD FROM THEM AGAIN! Guess this is how they say they didn't want to do the job. I find this a very very poor work ethic. I would have rather been turned down than completely ignored. If this is how they handle customers, I guess I am lucky because they probably don't do a very good job anyway. This was a very busy time for contractors, but, I deserved just a call back. I see that others consider them unprofessional also. I apparently dodged the bullet! read more

We just had our home in Arvada, CO painted by Vivax Pros and are totally pleased. Elizabeth Ryan was the project manager and was very thorough and made sure everything was to our liking. I highly recommend Vivax pros. Vivax Pros recently painted the exterior of my 1900 bungalow. I interviewed 3 companies for the job. I hired Vivax Pros because they were by far the most knowledgable when it came to 100+ year old homes. The company did a great job of communicating with me before, during and after my project was complete. They came back to finish any touch-up work, and made sure I was 100% happy during the final walk through. I love the finished product! Vivax delivered on all of their promises, and I will definitely use them again in the future. ***I had to write a follow-up because Vivax is truly the best! A few months after my project, I called Vivax regarding a few touch-ups areas on my house (because the brick on my house is so old, paint can be very tricky). They were extremely responsive, worked me into their schedule ASAP, and got the job done quickly. Keith and his crew were all very friendly and happy to help. Y'all rock! read more

Update to original review below: After sharing my frustrations on this site, I was contacted by Vivax to discuss ways to improve my perspective of the job and company. They offered to refund some of my money and scheduled to have a team come out and attempt to free up the paint sealed windows. They apologized for the lack of communication and suggested that a project manager had left the company, resulting in them not recognizing the frustration with the poor paint job. I do give them credit for reaching out, post payment, to see if there was a possibility of salvaging my perception. Original : Vivax does a great job of meeting with you initially, discussing the project, and making you feel like it will be taken care of by a single project manager. From the time you agree to move forward, your project is passed off to different groups who seemingly do not communicate well as a single provider (further explanation below). Based on our experience, you should also be ready to manage a poor initial job and manage them coming back to fix the mediocre job they did the first time and second time you ask them to come back out. Our project included some "wood work", as we should have painted several years ago, as well as had some areas where squirrels decided to chew on our house. We have a roof that requires added caution in walking on it and this was explained and documented several times early in the process, but seemingly not passed on. In an attempt to keep damage from occurring, we also mentioned it to the team that was scheduled to perform the wood work. Unfortunately, they didn't listen or it was not passed along to the individuals performing the work and our roof wound up being damaged. Vivax did agree to have it repaired, however this added months to the project and left us with a roof that was not as nice as before and areas that don't match the rest of the roof. In addition to having to call the paint team out numerous times, in an effort to get full coverage, touch up missed areas, and repair pealing paint from a lack of proper prepping, they also ended up painting our windows shut. Being wood windows, they then broke and splintered when opened and will require repair or replacement. Once I decided to cut my losses and sign off on the project, they presented the bill and offered no discount for the added time, damaged roof, or painted shut windows. Being a sucker, tired of dealing with them, and ready to move on... I paid the bill and expect next time, we will not be blinded by the "guarantee" and lower cost. I am giving them a second star, as they did pay for the "repair" of the roof, with little pushback and the fact that when we used them a few years ago ( on a rental property ) they did a pretty good job (still required a call back for touch ups and missed areas). Maybe this was just a bad subcontract or crew new to exterior painting. I don't know. Hope this helps set a reasonable expectation for the guarantee, if you plan to go Vivax. read more

I would never have this company paint my house ever. We had someone come out to give us an estimate to have our house painted. They were quick to do the job but not quick to communicate and answer our questions. I probably called a number of times only to get a message that the office voicemail was not set up. After numerous times trying to reach someone I finally sent the project coordinator a message that I didn't want to do business with this company. As soon as my email was read the guy(don't want to mention any names) that came out to give us an estimate called saying he was sorry and would give us a discount of $50 to paint our house. My husband and I went through a lot with this company. No communication what so ever. Never got a final estimate on what it was going to cost us. Thanks to those for not returning our calls. Very pleased with our experience, recommend Vivax for the following reasons: 1. Excellent results thanks to Luis!!! He and his team works hard and keep an eye on the details. 2. The Communication and expectation setting by Jeremy our PM. He also takes the final walk through very seriously, catching the little things. 3 The pre-buy experience with Nicki was another example of solid communication and handoff of details. 4. Jamaya, our scheduler is super friendly and flexible; accommodating our HOA approval timeline. This team eased our concerns, as leaving our home to be worked on is typically uncomfortable. House looks great, we chose wisely:) if you are considering house painting, I'd invite them to earn your business. They'll show up on time, give a fair bid, and deliver on their promises. read more
