I got the tacos de aguacate. It's my first time ever having a fried avocado, but it certainly won't be my last. The avocado is perfectly ripe and fried perfectly. The fillings are so fresh and light. Don't even get me started on the beans. I ordered online and my food was ready on time when I got there, but there was plenty of seating available, so I'll definitely be back to dine in. It's a cute and cozy restaurant. All I can say is wow, I will definitely be back!

I wasn't impressed with the chicken tacos, because of the chewy consistency of the chicken and flavor of the corn tortilla, I prefer a flour tortilla. The strawberry margarita was delicious and even came with a strawberry garnish! Be prepared because this place gets busy and loud on a Friday night. I couldn't hear my friend across the table. We also struggled because we had a small high top and could barely fit all of our food on it. They did a good job clearing the table and waiting for us to finish our appetizers. Our waitress had her hands full it seemed like she was waiting on every table but she did amazing.

Coming from California, I wasn't sure what to expect from a local taco spot in Boston, but…read moreChilacates pleasantly surprised me. We visited the location near Samuel Adams Brewery, and the moment you step inside, you're practically face-to-face with the cashier. The place is tiny, with just a few barstools along the wall, but it doesn't seem like a spot where people linger. It has the feel of a true neighborhood taco shop. Locals stop in for a quick bite or grab their food to go, and workers come in, order, and are back out the door in no time. I ordered a carne asada taco and a veggie taco. The carne asada was flavorful, but the veggie taco completely exceeded my expectations. Instead of the usual peppers and onions, it was loaded with fresh corn, eggplant, zucchini, cauliflower, and a mix of peppers that added great flavor and texture. It was colorful, fresh, and filling without feeling heavy. The real standout, though, was their homemade habanero salsa. It packed incredible flavor with a serious kick. I could still feel the heat lingering on my tongue long after I finished eating. I loved every second of it.

Spicy Shrimp Bowl 5/5 - the fish was really soft and seasoned just right. The black rice is phenomenal, I could eat it on my own. Horchata 5/5 - exactly how I like it, heavier on the cinnamon side, also the horchata helped with cooling down my tongue after pouring too much ghost pepper on my bowl Dropping a star because the service isn't that great, when our food was ready, the staff member just muttered our food was ready...also seems like the utensils are in a spot only for staff to grab but it's actually self serve. We also asked for queso and were told they had some. When we never got it with our food, the staff member acted like he didn't know what we were talking about.
