The owner runs the counter; she's a jovial woman from Guatamala who speaks English with a thick accent. Order at the counter and have a seat. OUR ORDER: - Chicken Tacos - more like taquitos. These were small but had good taste and crunch. PS they do have regular soft tacos but the fried ones are more popular. - Pork tamale - they use pork rib meat so watch out for the bones. I liked the tender and tasty pork, but not the taste of the masa they used. - Carne Asada Plancha - again good taste (there's a theme here) but too much gristle. - Tortilla was thick: crisp on the outside and soft in the middle not the same as the Mexican type. - Pico De Gallo was salty I wouldn't mind trying out more things on the menu if I was in the area. A few weeks ago I took a work colleague there eat a torta this is Mexican sandwich on a bun. My friend is Canadian too, but can't handle anything spicy. We ordered the Cubana torta and it's so stacked with many items basically putting California Sandwiches to shame. This sandwich has Sausage, Ham, Mexican Sausage, Cheese, Eggs, and Breaded Steak. You can also have chipotle and/or jalapeño on the side. After you order your food from the register you are assigned a table to sit at. Once seated the waitress brings any toppings that you may want for your food. Sara brought us the toppings for our food and she was very friendly as she was helping my friend with pronouncing some Spanish words that just didn't sound right to me. The food came very promptly and we enjoyed it so much. The restaurant also bakes traditional Mexican sweet bread on a daily basis and is very good. Beside the register they have some small samples of the bread that you can try. The restaurant is well lit and has some traditional paper hangings hung from the ceiling and well of course there's Mexican music playing at just the right level, so that you can have a regular conversation. The washrooms are very clean they are not gender neutral but basically just four doors and one sink, so like a shared washroom 2 for men and 2 for women. The other downside is not a lot of parking, so I usually just park on the back street behind the restaurant Regent Rd. There are some parking restrictions so just read the parking signs. There's also a step to get into the restaurant so a wheelchair could be difficult to get in, unless they have wooden ramp that can be placed upon request. All in all very good food and service, so I know I'll be back again.

But wait, if I compare to Taco Del Mar closer to home they don't have premium proteins. Also Guac corporate advertising and account people do not talk. Based on the name I figured that guacamole was their specialty, their forte so to speak. However they gatekeep it behind an add-on price, so most customers won't spend extra for it. The sizes of the tacos was filling. They were HUGE! However that and a bottle of Coke Zero was $20 including taxes, but excluding tip.
