Don't know why the reviews are so bad for this place, glad I went…read more Today (Tuesday) I had an appointment for a CT scan at 3:30 pm at the Flamingo location. I downed some molecular hydrogen (helps with radiation) on my way there and was worried there would be a wait to get in (it has to be taken 30 mins before your scan). I walked in, checked in right away, the front desk staff was pleasant. I used the restroom, it was clean. I sat down and sent a text then was called back by a gentleman who introduced himself as the person who would be doing my scan. It went really fast, and the injection felt like literally nothing. In and out and done. If anything happens with getting the results back, I'll update this review, but otherwise I'm a happy camper!

The reps answering the phones lacked empathy and care for me and basically gave me the run around because my ultrasound wasn't done by them. It took over a month to schedule an appointment. The day BEFORE my biopsy, they tell me it's $1000 co pay. WTF? The day before. They won't bill me either, they need money up front. I come to the appointment and the waiting room is disgusting. The chairs, bathroom and space were untidy and unkept. I paid the co pay and there was a 5% surcharge for using a credit card that was NOT told to me until after I tapped my card. Way to take MORE money out of your patients. This place is a joke and quite frankly, it's what you get when you have shitty insurance. Since switching from my PPO to Cigna, this is the only option I have. It's sad to see the healthcare system drop so drastically. I really hope I don't ever have to come here again?

Being a "seasoned citizen" I've had far more experiences than most needing typical scans. With that in mind, I believe I am qualified to say: SimonMed provides one of the best experiences and overall environments for getting doctor-ordered scans I have ever witnessed or in which I participated. No close second vote--they've got it nailed! I read several reviews prior to choosing SimonMed where they complained about long wait times, hassles finding doctor orders, etc. Thankfully the review with the most impact said the key was completing ALL form submissions and preregistration possible ONLINE. They also recommended having a copy of the Doctor's order IN HAND, just in case. Upon arrival (15 mins before my appointment which they recommended) they scanned my ID and insurance cards and asked me to be seated in the waiting room. I was called just about five mins after my appointment time which was a wonderful exception to the rule! My life experience tell me the wait will ALWAYS be 30 mins PLUS! The technician was calm, funny, warm and engaging. The ONLY complaint I had was her refusal to share with me, THE PATIENT, any of what she was or was not seeing. See explained that she would be instantly fired if she broke protocol. I get it. But that meant having to worry another couple days. Bottom line: do your part, be prepared ahead of time with everything needed for the clinic, bring copies of everything and enjoy a far better experience than most facing these tests.

Multiple cancelled and rescheduled appointments. I finally am allowed to go in yesterday after two months of pain and frustrating phone calls. I wait two hours in the lobby before getting called, get changed, go to the machine, they tell me the dr ordered the wrong test and I won't get the images I need so I had to leave. I called my dr and looked at the order, it was correct. I have no idea what this place is doing. I am writing this review sitting on hold with their office for the last twenty minutes and counting trying to get it rescheduled I guess. This should be fun. Assuming the internet is still a thing by the time I get off, I'll plan on updating my review with the result. Update: Another 30 minutes of my life gone. After him checking for an eternity combined with a bunch of direct harsh and words by me calling out the bullshit, I was told I was right and they had no idea why they wouldnt take the scan yesterday. He (James) then hung up on me... Called back, got the run around, spoke to two people trying to get back with that one person. I'm now sitting waiting for a callback from the original person... Not to worry, I'm told it will come in the next 5 minutes. Update: So its been 20 minutes, no callback. Apparently, I've been playing checkers when everyone there is playing chess. Back To the Queue! Update: Spoke to Sara. She seemed nice, explained it all again, tried to get a supervisor (?) then hung up on me Update: Its been over another hour. Im now on the phone with Cinthia from scheduling who appears to be even worse than the rest I've dealt with. Rude, unhelpful, lying. She tried to transfer me to a supervisor. I waited on hold for a while, got a message similar to how Ive been hung up on in the past, but then an answer! It was Cinthia again, who seemed completely unphased that I had not yet been transferred, happy and ready for the next sucker. Once she realized she still had me on the phone, I got a dry stay on the line sir. Back to on hold where I believe she has no intention of ever transferring me. Been on for another 20 minutes now. Wait no, she just hung up on me. I feel my soul escaping, only a husk of a man fueled by anger remains.. That and this pain in my arm... Update: Finally found the first competent person there it seems (praying). Thank you Annette! I think she actually sent an email to a supervisor to call me back. Time will tell. Pray for me Update: Well it's been a week. No callback. I doubt site manager Gavin exists, but if he is he should be very very ashamed. Today my Dr called them. To get it sorted and push along. Simonmed called me, scheduled an appt for friday, confirmed they had my insurance authorization, all good! Update: Simonmed almost immediately sent me a follow up message saying my appt has been cancelled and didn't have insurance authorization. I spent two very frustrating hours on threeway calls between simonmed and insurance. Seems like my appt is back on for friday. I mean if you've made it this far in my review and need a scan, you should know by now to NOT EVER use this facility. This has been more painful than my arm. Unless you are very bored, looking for another full time job, and thrive amidst incompetence, lethargy, and confusion, getting a scan here is not worth it.

I kept hearing gossiping in the waiting room & the lady whom took in my insurance information was just rude & seemed bothered to be there. Waited a whole hour, a new patient with wife walked in & seemed like the doctor and them had a friendly close relationship by the way the doctor literally came to the front door desk to say hi to them & thank them for coming by. Not even 30 min pass by and this Jonathan person with wife gets called in to be seen. Extremely upsetting to have to go through this especially when one is sick. Seems like this might be a good office to go for medical needs but clearly left a terrible impression on me. Wouldn't recommend

I checked the website to review their services.... and was happy they did exactly what I was looking for- a steroid injection in my knee- as I know "if it works... it works " Exam and x-ray revealed- inflammation and swelling- which I knew by my pain level. Told Dr yes - want the injection he left to retrieve it... so I thought but in walks two techs. I just said " oh - you're going to do it ?". She said yes - where do you want it " in your arm or butt"???? after I realized she wasn't kidding- I asked to see the doctor- explained/ asked what was going on? I was informed he wasn't comfortable doing the steroid injection. They were going to do an intramuscular injection- This could have gone two ways - a one star or five star rating.... I was given a choice to wait 20 minutes and they could have someone there that could administer the steroid injection. Fantastic he came previous dr watching to learn pain is much better already... so once again THANK YOU!

I'm…read morehighly claustrophobic, and also have an impossible time lying on my back due to severe back pain. My joy was short-lived. I arrived 10 minutes before my scheduled appointment, and was told by the unfriendly front-desk girl that I was late. No one had told me to be there earlier; I live way on the other side of town, and S. Maryland Pkwy. is completely ripped up. When I got home, there was a message on my phone half an hour before the appointment time asking where I was. The technician, Adriana, who did the MRI told me that I couldn't move at all during the test, not even during the time in-between the various sections of it. So I didn't, not one bit. She said if I did, the entire test would be invalidated. The room was also freezing, so she had put a sheet over my hands that were resting on a cube on my lap. She told me that she wouldn't be able to hear me, but if I needed help I should raise my hand. Wouldn't that then invalidate the whole test?? The last section of the test was the longest, seven minutes, she said. And when that ended, she said I was going to have to come back and have the entire MRI redone, because I had moved. I said I hadn't moved a muscle, so then she asked if I had taken a deep breath. I knew I had, so she said that was the reason. So why didn't she tell me not to take a deep breath along with the don't-move instruction that she kept repeating??? I was not about to do another 30+ mile round-trip to repeat the entire test and risk having to screw it up again if I did something as natural as breathing, so I told her to just have them send the report to the doctor as-is. She said she'd see what the doctor would do. And that led into a nearly week-long odyssey. I'd call every day and never get through. I had the tech's extension #, but it would ring three times and disconnect. On the rare occasion that I got to speak to the tech, she changed her tune and said I'd only have to repeat the last part. So which part of what she told me was true - repeat the whole test, or just the last part??? Totally untrustworthy. Once again, I told her that I wanted it sent the way it was. Finally, after six days, when I called and finally got through after another five attempts, she said the report had been sent to my doctor; I had her send it to me, which she did. From beginning to end, the unprofessionalism and lack of honesty of this facility is a deal breaker. I also had to have a different MRI, and chose an open-sided MRI facility. The difference in the way I was treated was like night and day, and I dealt with the back problem and the claustrophobia just fine, thanks to the skill and caring of the techs at the other facility (see my review). LV Radiology's Upright MRI isn't worth the trade-off. Unfortunately, they're pretty much the only game in town for an Upright, but it's not worth it. Better off to suck it up and go for an Open MRI. It was a horrible experience made even worse by the incompetence of everyone there.

I called again, two weeks after referral was sent and was again told they were still waiting for insurance. Today at three weeks I called and was told the same thing. When I called back to LV Radiology they said "Oh I see your insurance denied request" When I explained that couldn't be the case as no request had been received by insurance, I was told by LV Radiology , " it must have been an error, we are short staffed!!" I'm going to another imaging business.
