I've been to OpenSided MRI several times, but this is the first time since my review of 2018. That review was a severe downgrade from the very good previous one, and was based on the very ill front desk guy who should not have been working and infecting patients. I'm happy to say that I had a totally different experience this time. First, they moved over a door or two to a new office, which is more spacious and updated. Patty, the woman at the front desk, was a delight, friendly and competent, and it was nice to not have to deal with an unprofessional 18-year-old, which is so common at doctors' offices these days. I don't know if there were two techs who actually did the MRI, but two helped me get settled onto the table, not an easy task due to my horrendous back condition. I needed help from both of them, and they did everything possible to make me comfortable. The actual test wasn't as open as I'd remembered, probably due to the fact that this one was of my brain, so it required a helmet-like contraption to keep my head immobile. But thankfully, this procedure didn't take more than 15 minutes, so it was bearable. (My brain's fine, thanks for asking!). No more CDs, this time I was provided with a QR code, and was able to see the report and images by the next day. Just the week before, I had a different MRI at an upright MRI facility, which was a horrible experience due to the ineptness of the tech and the problems that ensued after, so this one at OpenSide MRI was a breath of fresh air. I was very nervous having to go in for an MRI on my shoulder however, from the time I walked in Bianca, the front receptionist was so patient so understanding and so very nice, Ken and Teresa the techs were so professional and knowledgeable that made the testing easy. Although, I was medicate, I still was claustrophobia. My technician was fabulous. He pulled me out calmed me down and we started all over. If I didn't have him, I don't think I could have done it. Outstanding facility for an open MRI with very convenient hours for scheduling, e.g., 6 a.m. to 9 p.m Monday through Saturday. I needed a pelvis MRI without and with contrast. Ken did the procedures. He was wonderful. He explained everything for each test so I knew what to expect -- I would be holding my breath for some of the tests, how long each test would take, how long the contrast needed to get through my body. He even put a pillow under my knees to make me more comfortable. Even the girl, Tiffany, who greeted me when I arrived was friendly and nice. Quick and painless. No anxiety attacks this time. The location is easy to find and has loads of parking. The waiting area/ reception area is clean and sleek. Positive experience at this facility. Cordially greeted by Veronica upon approaching front desk. First time here and had to fill out quite a bit of paperwork which is the reason they ask you to arrive 20-30 minutes before appointment time. After turning in paperwork she asked if I needed to use restroom before procedure. Exceptionally clean restroom with disinfectant spray, good soap and wall mounted handlebars for those with mobility needs. Michael was my tech and he had good bedside manner. He walked me through the procedure and gave me a handheld ball to squeeze in case of an emergency. Once I finished, I was instructed to wait in reception for disk, but by the time I finished dressing, my disk was ready. If I find the need for an MRI in the future, I hope that I am fortunate to schedule another appointment here. read more

I am very claustrophobic and was very scared when I came for my appointment. The receptionist checked me in and reassured me that I'll be ok. The MRI tech, I believe her name is Jazz. She made me feel safe and when I say she talked me through the whole 20 minutes I was there. She made sure I was calm and told me a personal experience her mother had as well because she's claustrophobic too. This is the first time I was able to get through an MRI and I want to say Thank You Jazz! I will definitely one back if ever need an MRI. I went to Opensided MRI for both my cervical and lumbar spine. I was very nervous as it had been over 10 years since my last MRI. I am also extremely claustrophobic I am thankful this MRI machine is open on the side so I didn't feel closed in. Patty the receptionist is friendly, courteous and professional. Jason the MRI technician is wonderful, very friendly, easy to talk with, which made me less nervous. Everything went great. I really like the open sides. Only waited a short time to get in. The only reason I did not give it 5 stars was because I was instructed the day before to not eat or drink "anything" prior. They had a hard time finding a vain to draw blood and I was then told I should have drank alot of water before. read more

Staff were super. Notified me as soon as they rec'd referral to let me know they would get auth, which they did and it didn't take three weeks like some; scheduled me promptly. In and out at my appointment, with all staff courteous. Desert Rad needs to take several pages out of OpenSided's book. Last month my referral to Desert Rad took seven working days to simply, "get into their system". Eight more days to have radiologist read. Terrible. Had to reschedule my doctor's appt to accommodate how slooow they were. AND this was over simple x-rays. read more
