Bizarre experience at this place yesterday! Went in to get another bottle of vitamins. There was nobody around when I first went in, so I was looking on the shelves trying to find what I had last purchased. I thought I found what I was looking for, as I brought in my empty bottle for comparison to make sure I got the same. But I paid $16.50 for my prior bottle, and what I found was priced over $50. I therefore assumed it was not the same. Then this guy with dark hair and a soul patch comes out, so I showed him my empty bottle and asked if he knew where it was. He rudely said, "Why, you didn't see it over there?" Then I told him I thought what I found must have been something different because of the price difference. I showed him the price on the empty bottle I brought in, and he had the audacity to accuse me of switching the lid with a cheaper price tag on it! He actually said this to me. WOW. Talk about shocking and offensive. Attached are photos of the empty bottle I took in with the price tag on it. Then he said, "Those are cheaper ones we recommend" and I didn't realize at that point that he had some kind of laser pen he was using to point across the counter to bottles on the wall. Never experienced that in a store before, laser pointers, and I didn't realize what he was doing at first. I was still quite shocked and taken aback by the accusation and odd behavior, and didn't answer right away, as I didn't know at first what he was doing, and didn't initially see his laser pointer. This startled hesitation on my part obviously further irritated him and he said angrily, "I guess you're done!" I felt like I was in the twilight zone, the whole thing was so odd and creepy. I didn't know what else to say at that point, so I just agreed with him and said, "yes, I guess I'm done." Then I started to leave. As I went out the door, he yelled out at me, "At least you are honest about it!" What did that mean? I have no idea. So weird. I walked out wondering, "What just happened?!" Will never go back to Vitamin Center. Went to Staff of Life instead, and found them to be very helpful and kind. read more
