I've been seeing Emily Alamano for several months now and my skin has never looked this good! I…read morereally needed someone to analyze my skin and tell me how to take care of it. At 35 you'd think I would know how to do this by now or have had it done, but nothing I've been doing or had done to my skin has worked this well. Learning a simple regimen for my skin type and being properly educated about how and when to use which products has completely turned things around for me. Emily is very friendly, thorough and straightforward. She doesn't try to oversell any services or products. She's very informative so you have all the information you need to make your own decisions about caring for your skin properly. That being said I love the product lines they carry. Especially Marywynn's products that she has formulated. They're affordable and effective, also very clean and fragrance free. I would absolutely recommend Emily to any and everyone. She will give you a relaxing service, where you feel pampered and taken care of, as well as helping you learn to manage your skin better.

At the end of the service she said (verbatim) "your sun damage is *gasp*.... breathtaking." I have not and will never forget it. I am constantly told by others that I look at least a decade younger than my actual age (now nearly 50), but somehow this woman planted a seed that won't die in my head about how old I look and how terrible my skin is. The facial itself was forgettable but psychological damage from her callous and totally unnecessary comment is not. Spend your time and money with someone who cares about not only about your skin, but your confidence and helps build both.

I've had stressful situations where the lash tech has been rude and impatient. And Jessica really put that fear I had at ease. For those who need a good cream for any kind of sensitive skin (including for those with chemical sensitivities), try Skintifique. That has been a life saver. Neither dermatologists nor naturopaths were able to recommend anything that didn't give me allergic reactions.

In fact, I wish I could give her 10 stars. The thing that really stands out about her is how much she cares about her clients. She cares about making them feel comfortable. She cares about listening to whatever is going on in their lives. She cares about creating a welcoming environment. Mostly, she cares about providing a really great service. I've always left my appointments with her with a little spring in my step. It's weird to say that getting waxed is fun when it hurts like hell, but she makes this something I look forward to. She is just so fun and easy to be around! I also love that I never feel judged or uncomfortable; Pink Moon is truly a safe space. There are NO pretentious vibes here. Wanted to note this blurb from her website because she truly stands by this, and I know these can be important criteria when deciding who to go to: "My studio welcomes everyone: clientele of all races, ethnicities, genders and body types. I love and support my fat, POC, LGBTQ, transgender and gender-nonconforming clientele." If you're looking for a waxing, a facial, or eyelash and eyebrow services, I can't recommend Jane enough!

I also recently had the joy of getting a massage from Renee, a new practitioner at the expanded Pink Moon studio. Renee was kind and empathetic to my aches and pains, as well as the emotional struggles that can lead to discomfort in your body. She had great recommendations for me for self care after the massage, and she was an excellent massage therapist! The pressure was firm and consistent, and she helped provide relief to troublesome areas. I will absolutely be back to see Renee! She also does Thai massage, which I didn't try, but am super interested to checkout.
