Bellafill for acne scars | Michelle is amazing | Excellent medical spa I've had this deep rolling acne scar on my chin for the past five years. It was caused by a quarter-sized (no exagerration) cystic acne that sat there for months without any progress. It was absolutely the deepest, largest and most painful one I've experienced. I went to a local dermatologist who didn't explain to me the negative effects of a cortisone shot, so the cortisone left behind this massive hole of an indent on my face. It distorted my chin, but over the last five years, a lot has filled in to the point where most people didn't notice it. I did, though. I managed that scar with about 10 microneedling appointments and regular light chemical peel facials, but I just wanted to be done with this thing, especially with many social events coming up this year. So, my husband did some research and found this place that specializes in scar removal in addition to other procedures. I immediately booked a consultation and met with Katerina, and she was so patient, friendly, and professional. I didn't feel pressured at all. Instead, she was thorough in explaining to me what they would likely do to remove the scar, the cost, and the downtime/healing process. They recommended Bellafill injection because it not only provides immediate results, but it continues to build more collagen in the long term. I left feeling excited and equipped with the information needed to make the next step. She also took photos to send to Dr. Max, who was away, to review once he returned. I booked for a test treatment with Bellafill before going through with it. I'm happy I did because it gave me a preview of what to expect. I've never had any injectables before, so I was nervous. PLUS, I have a food sensitivity to anything related to a cow: milk, cheese, and beef. Bellafill contains a bovine collagen that eventually gets replaced by your own collagen. Michelle did my test treatment. She was excellent! No pain. Quick. I waited a week and no reaction. Just mild bruising :) I booked my appointment soon after. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to have Dr. Max do the treatment the day of, but Michelle was fantastic. They put numbing cream on the areas I wanted to get done and then Michelle injected Bellafill with a cannula to prevent bruising. Michelle has 20 years of experience, so I felt completely assured she knew what she was doing. IMMEDIATE results!! She said I had a lot of scar tissue, and she ended up using one syringe to fill in that deep scar! She topped it off with a little bit of a second syringe and used the rest of that second one on my other smaller acne scars on my cheek area. Painless but felt some tugging, which really isn't bad at all. I felt sore and puffy the next 3 days, but in terms of bruising, it was a little yellow on day 4-5. I didn't wear any makeup because it wasn't really noticeable! Everything was fine by the end of the week. It's absolutely amazing that I can walk out with my scar gone and have literally no down time. Best procedure and highly recommend it for those who are looking for immediate results with deep acne scars! They offer many types of methods for payment. I went with Cherry app because it seemed to offer the best payment plans with no interest. What drove my decision to go here was seeing their before/after photos and meeting the staff at the office. Everyone is gorgeous, happy and friendly, and genuinely enjoy what they do daily here. They're so empathetic and knowledgeable. I will definitely send my husband in to get some moles removed too. THIRD UPDATE February 2026: returned for a third treatment. I absolutely love this place. Katarina is an angel. I'm so grateful this place is here and that I've been able to experience a few of the services that they offer. I only wish I could afford more! One day... Went to VIP for their weight-loss (GLP1) and ended up subsequently on HRT for low-T as well. They are near miracles, although a case of you get out of it, what you put in, but have effectively have a second chance at life, with vastly improved health. I've been here two times. Came here only when my Botox lady was out of town. The first visit was ok. The woman who did my injections doesn't seem very talkative. She's very quiet and doesn't really say anything during your service. The second appointment, she for sure wasn't talking. After the girls at the front desk got me checked in, when it came time for me to go back, the woman didn't even say a simple "hello" to me. Absolutely not one word. As I followed her down the hallways in silence, I asked her how she was doing once we got to the room. After the quick service, she didn't say "thanks for coming in", or "have a nice day". When she did my Botox, this time, the results were not as great at the previous visit with her. Idk if she used different product from my last visit, or if the product was watered down. This was the very first time (of many) that my results were not up to par. She is a very physically beautiful woman though. Her aesthetic is flawless. Botox debuted in 2002 - nearly 20 years ago and I was an early customer and advocate. I have worked as a marketing manager for many clinics, plastic surgeons and anti-aging specialists and I've had extensive training. After 7 years, I tried a new provider recently called VIP Medi Spa in Clackamas/Happy Valley area of Oregon. The "injector", Michelle, is top notch. Experienced. Knowledgeable. Excellent hand. This means she knows what product to use and where to maximize results with minimal downtime and pain. Excellent and I say that without reservation. Those "in this business" know there are spas/physicians that dilute their product to essentially give you less than 100% Botox or filler to improve their bottom line and make more money. VIP Medi Spa isn't cheap. Botox costs $12 a unit on the high end for Portland. Dr. Darm and VanderVeer Center (both long time providers in the market) charge $11 a unit. Ideal Image Spa, a newer player in the market, charges just $8.90. VIP isn't a bargain. I had a treatment a week ago and my experience tells me they dilute their product. I have results, but at 42 units I should have a much better result. I know enough after nearly 20 years using Botox that their product is watered down and despite Michelle's skill - she can't make a weak product get better results than a non-diluted product. As VIP is more expensive than anyone else, I could find in the Portland Metro area and with a comprised approach to what they inject, I suggest you go elsewhere. Do I recommend anyone else specifically? No. But I know a rip off when I experience it. Get better. Shop around before you make an appointment at VIP. read more

This review came with a lot of thought and details around the surgery I had done here.. I went in for a bbl almost two years ago, immediately after surgery I was in so much pain, I was promised to be back and to my daily activities a few weeks to months after surgery, I have had more knee pain from this lipo that caused me to have see knee specialist, and my recovery is still on going, my bbl was so big and so high I have severe lower back pain, while having consultations he/they never said this is what they would be doing, and that if they had I would never agreed to this place and he never had permission to ADD fat to my stomach and thigh area and with other drs and multiple ex rays and specialist I found out he put a minimal amount of fat in those areas which has made my skin lose, body and recovery a ongoing process. I would never allow this dr to perform another surgery on me, he is not straight forward with what he is doing, it's unprofessional and unethical. I have lines in my leg muscles were he was using the canala, I have had numerous drs look at me and I'm in recovery for my knees and lover back pain. Would look elsewhere before making a decision with this place, and you will see a major difference, the only body contouring I had agreed on was lipo taken from my back and my legs and a minimal amount place in my buttocks area and the rest to be thrown out, instead fat was placed in upper legs, stomach area, my knees have been deformed and damaged, nerve damage, and nerve damage in lower back too! I wish I had seen a review like this before choosing this place as a place for this kind of surgery. I would highly advice not going here and will be making a complaint with the Better Business Bureau as well. He told me he added no fat to any other area of my body, and only added 350 cc to my buttocks area, all which was untrue. Beware. read more
