I've written a Google review already for this business and realized that I needed to give them some love on ALL platforms, because when you have an amazing team that provides such amazing service, why wouldn't you? From front desk to treatment, everything was smooth, efficient, and a truly amazing experience. I received laser treatment from Dr. Lani and Kelly. Kelly started by giving me numbing cream - which was spread on my face so evenly and speedily. Half an hour later and I was ready for the laser! They do an excellent job with safety precautions (giving me goggles to protect my eyes and checking in every few minutes to make sure I was doing well). Don't hesitate to ask questions, they do a great job of breaking down all the processes and treatments. The treatment was very speedy, and did not hurt at all. This laser allowed me to be up and running almost immediately. Aside from some slight redness initially, after a day, everything was back to normal! When you step in, you can rest assured that the staff is doing everything they can to make sure they're still abiding by protocols to limit the spread of COVID -- masking, taking temperatures at the door, sanitizing frequently, etc. My sister and I went in for a laser treatment on Thursday afternoon and were very warmly greeted by everyone there. This experience has changed my outlook on skin procedures. I came in as a new patient with many hesitations... I have extreme anxiety with needles and health offices. My nurse Hayley showed no judgement and went above and beyond to make me feel comfortable. She agreed to assist with anything possible to better my experience. This place gets 5 stars for so many reasons... I must admit that I hesitated at first in writing this review because I didn't want to admit that I ever so much as thought about getting any "procedures" performed. But a month later, after being so amazed at what a difference it's made in how I look and feel, and how impressed I was with the service I received, I just had to write something. I apologize in advance for the lengthy review, but I was very nervous when I first started looking into having these procedures done, so I wanted to be as thorough as possible in hopes that it might benefit someone else that is thinking of having them done as well. First of all, Lani is amazing. Not only is she one of the most beautiful, sweet, professional women you will ever meet, she genuinely cares about every single one of her clients. She personally followed up with me before and after my procedures to see how I was doing and to answer all of my questions. She is also very skilled at what she does, and her extreme attention to detail (and symmetry) is exactly what you want when choosing someone to perform a procedure on your face. Secondly, if you have any concerns whatsoever about their COVID protocols, you can leave those at the door. I have been to multiple doctor's offices, including OHSU, who took great precautions, and still Skinwise was more cautious. They keep their doors locked, and you are let in by appointment only, at the exact time of your appointment (no waiting room). Everyone wears a mask. You must use hand sanitizer and have your temp taken upon entry. And if your procedure involves you lowering your mask at all, they have you rinse your mouth ahead of time with an anti-microbial mouth rinse, and you have to breathe through a special single use breathing apparatus that filters the air you exhale while your mask is lowered to protect the practitioner (don't worry, it doesn't cover your face or anything, it's just like blowing into a tube) which you then take with you when you leave, so you don't have to worry about there having been anyone else's germs on it because it goes home with you. They also use special air purifiers in the treatment room. Basically, I'm about as paranoid of COVID as you can get, and I felt completely safe. Thirdly, as for what I had done, I just turned 40 and decided to have some Dysport injected into the faint lines that were starting to appear on my forehead, and also in my 11's. I also got brave and had some filler put into my tear troughs to help with under eye circles. And the difference was astounding! I couldn't believe my before and after pics! (Sorry, I'm not quite brave enough to post them here ) Whereas before, my under eye concealer was my best friend, I can basically throw it away now. I wake up every morning looking rested and refreshed, even when I didn't get a good night's sleep. As for the procedure itself, while I was very nervous about whether or not it would hurt, I really didn't need to worry at all. Lani used a numbing cream first, and local anesthetic. And then I didn't feel much at all after that. She used a cannula to fill my tear troughs which was an odd sensation, but not painful in the least, and I hardly felt the injections in my forehead at all. So her technique is And as for the recovery, I have to say that I was really worried about ending up with two black eyes, especially considering that I usually bruise VERY easily at even the slightest bump. Well, much to my surprise, after all that I had done, I only ended up with one teeny, tiny bruise about the size of a pencil eraser that was gone in 2 days. I was stunned. How Lani was able to do all that work and not cause someone like ME to bruise is shocking! Trust me. She is just that good and that gentle. Very long story short, if you're thinking about having any procedure done on your face and you're looking for the best, go to Lani. Because she is the best, hands down. I wouldn't take the time to write this long of a review if I wasn't completely blown away by the service I received, the people I met, and the amazing results. Dr. Lani, Kelly, and Brice at Skinwise are a wonderful team. I initially reached out to Skinwise back in March with a specific desire for a laser treatment for my under eye area. After having a consultation with Kelly, they decided that that particular laser wouldn't be the best choice for my melanated skin because of the risk of hyperpigmentation. At the time though, they were considering purchasing a Tixel treatment machine and they felt that would be a better option without the same risk of hyperpigmentation. Kelly said she would follow up with me if and when they decided to start doing those treatments. Sure enough, she followed up as she said she would, and I just had my second treatment today. I've definitely noticed tightening in my upper lids and can't wait to see the results after I heal from this second treatment. The office is spotless, they're still taking COVID very seriously, which I appreciate, and all three of them were so warm, welcoming, and professional. So, I'm not saying I use these services. As far as anyone knows, I was born with great genes and have aged tremendously well. So this review will have to be pure speculation, since obviously I'd never use anything like Botox, Dysport, Filler... because as previously stated - I totally age like a friggin champ! I was so happy to find Amanda Squiers after she left the last place she supported and is now her own boss at Skinwise RX. I could and would NEVER use anyone else! (if I used her services, that is... because I totally don't need them and stuff) Not only is she way easier to access, she continues to be reasonably priced for the service she provides, an incredible professional, thorough, a total perfectionist, and? Believe what you read in reviews about her - zero-to-minimal pain. She's an artist with an awesome bedside manner who makes you look and feel your best. I don't know what else a person could ask for... who uses these services... which I'm not saying I do... Her new location is very spa-like. There's still some dust from moving as of this review, but it's clean, serene, and comfortable. There are 2 designated parking spaces for clients and additional parking spaces for the rest of the structure if those spaces are taken. To recap - if you're looking for an incredibly experienced aesthetic nurse practitioner to do incredible work on your person, go to Amanda. This is also for people who want to regain some youth but are scared to death of needles, Botox, fillers, etc. You will never get a better experience than with her. Oh! I was chosen and took my husband and she really nice and informative! Her clinic is very clean and the receptionist is very welcoming, helped us get all our paper work done easy. This was my first experience visiting a professional about my skin, so I wasn't sure what to expect. Lani was very kind and thorough, and was able to answer all of my questions. She also made notes and emailed them to me later along with product suggestions, so I could reference them at any point. While I was there, I had a microdermabrasion and a chemical peel. She explained what the procedures would do in layman's terms, as well as the aftercare I would need. She also stayed in contact with me after my treatment to check in and see how my skin was doing, and if I had any further questions. I cannot stop raving about the experience I had a Skinwise. I've been wanting to get lip injections for over two years and finally pulled the trigger. I was incredibly nervous and Dr. Lani made me feel so comfortable. She used local anesthetic which is not a common practice with lip filler and it made all the difference. When I first started coming to Skinwise I was looking into to get lip fillers. If you're wanting an incredibly well educated and personable injection specialist that you'll feel like becomes a friend - Lani is the Doctor for you.
