I noticed that my energy level was low and that I needed to get an IV done ASAP. I'd rather get an IV here then end up in an ER waiting 2 to 4 hours just to be informed that I'm dehydrated. I found Prime IV hydration in Beaverton on YELP since I'm still new to the area. It's close to my house in Progress Ridge so I thought I would give it a try. I'm definitely not a newbie to being dehydrated and just can't get all the water in that I need in a day. I'm familiar with receiving IV drips since I lived in Las Vegas Nevada for 22 years. I'm used to getting stuck, poked, and missed veins from time to time. That's just normal, especially since I normally am extremely dehydrated. I was worried that my veins would be hard to work with but I'm thankful for my one poke and that I experienced great care today. I was respected. I was informed. I felt welcomed. I felt like everything I said mattered and that I was genuinely being heard. I found out from the owner that this was a new location which is why everything is very new. Since I was a new client, I was provided intake paperwork sent electronically to my email. After my paperwork was signed, I was moved into a small meeting room to have a quick 5 to 6 minutes conversation with my intake provider. I was the only client there when PrimeIV opened which gave me time to look around. I took pictures and attached them for others to view. The front desk is clean and organized, floors clean, bathroom clean, and massage chairs. After the 5 to 6 minute interview, I moved to another room where Amy started to prep my arm for my IV. Once my arm was ready, I was off to get my massage. Now, let me tell you these are pretty fancy massage chairs. It's not the normal chairs that you'd be sitting in when you get your nails done in a salon. These are the high-tech massage chairs. There are a total of four in the room, which means the max clients in the room would be only four at a time. The IV room is very quaint and has a little feng shui about it. After I sat down in the massage chair, Amy set my massage to rest/sleep mode then went to mix my IV. My massage was Heaven. I'm so thankful for the massage chairs because the massage helped me relax, especially since I have anxiety. Amy hooked me up to my IV and fixed the titration and my drip started. From the time my bag started to the time it ended took about an hour and 20 minutes. I added vitamin B -12 to my bag And within the first 15 minutes, I already started feeling the energy. When Amy came in to check on me I told her I felt so much energy that I could take on the world. Ha ha ha. When the full bag was done, I felt REJUVENATED!!!! My thoughts and speech improved. My blood pressure improved and my mood was lifted. I no longer felt lethargic, nauseated, or dizzy, and as I mentioned earlier, I felt AMAZING!!!!! If you read everything that I mentioned above, thank you. I know this was long to read, but I feel that my time and my health was valued today and believe my review is worth it to PrimeIV because I had one of the most terrific experiences today out of the many IV Hydration treatments I've had in the past. During the many visits to this place we saw 2 Doctors, 1 PA, and had interaction with someone who was supposed to help with medication financial assistance with the manufacturer. The front desk schedulers are always amazing and helpful. Billing methods are all over the place and inconsistent (e-mail, text, check in for appointment and find you have a balance due you never knew about). The PA she saw at the beginning almost kept her in misery because she couldn't tell when she needed to escalate treatment . Her attempts were not working and she pushed to a 6 month appointment/review while my Mom suffered and kept saying over repeated visits, "this isn't working". We pushed for an appointment with an actual Doctor which yielded the results we needed. One Dr did get my Mom where she needed to be and my Mom is a lot better now, and yet another Dr there recommended meds the first one didn't that made a big difference in pain management. When we needed financial assistance from the manufacturer, I presented the paperwork I got online, mostly filled out, that needed the Dr signature, and was assured their person would take the paperwork - handle it - and was amazing. During that time they did give her sample shots to tide us over. I had already bought one month of prescription and was crossing my fingers for the financial help. After 30 days, not hearing anything from Dermatology Associates, and a $1485.00 balance coming due again (for one month perscription only), I called them to see what was going on. When I got a call back I was told that "I" should have been calling the manufacturer... My response -- No one told me that. Them - Oh well, someone should have. You need to call them and get the application approved, they will want information from you on things like your Moms income. Me - OK, I don't have the application, I gave you everything. Them - Oh someone should have given you a copy. Me- No one gave me a copy! (like geezus people, really!) It was then I found out it took so long because the wrong Dr signed the paperwork the first time. They had to get a signature from another Doctor and re-submit the paperwork. Since my Mom had seen two Doctors for the same prescription, I had put the first Doctor on the paperwork and apparently they needed the second. However, I would have thought they would have checked that. So I asked if they could please e-mail me the application paperwork so I could talk with the manfucturers rep. Them - yes. I later received the email and after over a month of not hearing from the Derm. Assoc., their team member called 3 days later from our call about the application to see if I had done it yet and that I needed to give the manufacturer information and I should have talked to someone. I found this interesting since communication from them was so bad yet they are now on me like - did I do it yet?! I called back to say No I haven't talked to anyone and I didn't know what information they were talking about as I hadn't talked to anyone. They found my call to be very rude and were very upset with me and we ended up having a negative interaction. When I called the manufacturer later that week about the financial assistance application they informed me they couldn't do anything with the application as they did NOT have the perscriptionauthorization from Derm Assoc yet. All that drama and Dermatology Associates didn't even do it right (AGAIN). I asked the manufacturer rep if they could follow up to see if they could get it, they said they would. When I checked back a couple weeks later, still no authorization from Dermatology Associates. At that point it just seemed to me that doing the right thing is not what these people do - or this individual anyway. They can't say Sorry for bad communication and poor execution of their function to get paperwork right and can't appreciate WHY I might be upset and aggravated. I gave up and reached out to Medicare to get on a payment plan. My Mom can't afford this medication and I pay for more than half of her bills, so what is another overpriced medication coming out of my already stretched budget. Thankfully, lots of other dermatology practices out here. We will just move along. Update: My Mom received a termination letter today saying they won't see her as a patient anymore. They stated that in order to share her records with a new medical provider (Federal Health Information Privacy Laws) she needs to sign the enclosed medical documents release authorization form. That they did NOT include. They can't even terminate her properly!

When I first arrived I was anxious and feeling like a train wreck. At this point I'd lost 9 pounds…read moreover a week from severe hyperemesis gravidarum (HG) and was desperate for fluids and food. HG is a pregnancy condition where the nausea is so bad, that it prevents you from keeping down even sips of fluid or small bites of saltines. Many women end up hospitalized, frequent flyers at the ER and needing major care to stay healthy and have a healthy pregnancy. After a trip to the ER myself and getting fully diagnosed after testing and IV's, my OBGYN made a plan for me that included coming here every 2-3 days for IV infusions. They include a liter of lactated ringers and a liter of lactated ringers loaded with essential daily and prenatal vitamins and IV medicine. To say I was anxious was an understatement. But the staff here from front desk check in, pre-treatment vitals and treatment are truly wonderful. Everyone is so caring and empathetic, knowledgeable and professional. You start to see the same patients coming and going and it's really great to see the relationships between them and the nurses. Names are remembered, what was last talked about, sincere care. I've also been anxious about getting IV's, as they tend to hurt now which I'm not used to. But as my IV nurse best friend said, normally veins are plump and easy to access but mine are flat and dehydrated. The nurses here have been really great at giving heat pads, cuffs and using gravity to get my veins to pop out just enough. And we have enough between my arms and hands to be able to alternate without needing a midline or piccline (thank goodness). What to expect ..... you walk into building 2 and they have a little desk who screens everyone who enters. They'll ask if you have any flu symptoms and do a laser gun temperature check. You'll get a sticker with the date and the word "screened" on it to wear, if you pass. Then you head into room 140, to the right and down the hall. You check in with the nurse and let them know when you took which medications last, they'll also ask if you've had a covid test within the last 2 weeks. Then you take a seat and wait to get called back. Once a nurse comes to grab you, they'll weigh you, take your blood pressure/vitals and temp. Afterwards, you'll head back to the actual IV area, which has chairs and privacy barriers between each chair. There is a huge desk/nurse station and then the chairs border it. So that eyes are always on you to make sure you're lines are doing well and you're being well cared for. Once you sit, they offer warm blankets and pillows for your head or IV arm to rest on. The chairs themselves are like lazy boys, they recline almost flat and the leg section pops up for you. They also have various snacks to offer. Graham crackers, saltines, peanut butter and Tillamook cheese. Cup of noodles if you're feeling extra hungry. Sodas, juices and water. Mid-infusion I'm usually able to eat some saltines with the cheddar cheese, which always tastes amazing, especially if I've been throwing up all night waiting to get to my next infusion. If you have to use the bathroom, they can unplug your machine which has a battery in it, then you can wheel your whole IV tower into the bathroom with you. Everything is as comfortable as they can possibly make it. Which is great, as I need to start coming in 3 times a week now. Which means I'll be seeing these nurses more than anyone outside of my household. For cleanliness, it's a hospital facility. It doesn't get much more brightly lit and clean than this place. There are also hand sanitizers every where and sterilized pens at check in, so no community reuse items, aside from door handles. All in all, I couldn't be happier with my care here. I think you will feel the same, too. Come here with confidence and feel better! Also, personal tips. Bring something cozy where your sleeve can roll up without being tight, or something to drape over your shoulders and uppers arms. My IV arm always gets really cold, so having that layer of insulation really helps keep the shivering down. If you didn't get good sleep and plan to nap, bring an eye mask, as it's really bright in the room. I also bring my own added blanket, as it's a little thicker. The room is a bit chilly to start with and getting 2 liters of cold IV pumped into you, does wonders for dropping your body temp. Also, the IV machines beep pretty often around the room, things like needing the change the IV bag or the bag is done. So at various points of your stay, you'll hear multiple IV machine beep alarms going off. Bring ear plugs if you're going to try to nap. Or if you're exhausted enough, perhaps you'll just sleep through them. If you plan on staying awake, bring some sort of book or activity to keep entertained. I see a lot of patients with headphones and movie watching going on. You're also welcome to bring your own snacks, too.

I appreciated that she didn't poke me more than twice, as the bruising after is horrid for me (I literally look like a junkie) All nurses are caring and they look after you. I was initially assisted by Elena and she was the most wonderful. If you have to get done infusions on the regular I recommend to have an "infusion bag" that contains a nice blanket, some snacks, electrolyte drink/sticks, water bottle and a battery pack for your electronics. PS: be sure to wash that blanket after each session!
