The nursing home with availability was very unfavorable so we were referred to Next Consulting (Tom) for care options and he suggested a residential care home which we were not very familiar with. To gave us several options with availability so we chose Sunflowers Caring Hands because if the location and they had room for one more resident. We set up a mtg with Andrea (owner) who is wonderful and she gave us a tour and went to hospital to meet and assess mom. The transition from the hospital was flawless and smooth. Let me tell you that this place was a blessing waiting for mom. They provide the best care that she could ever get, and she deserves it. They treat the residents and their families like their own family...it is a home away from home. Mom was able to get her PT and OT setup and did not have to go offsit. They have a servicing physician if/when needed that provides all medical needs, tests, well checks, blood work etc. The home is always clean; the residents are well fed, they continuously loved and nurtured and get the best personalized care 24/7. The home is full of love? They have all become our extended family.

Their only drawback is communicating- meaning it is very difficult to reach office staff, or get call backs so if you need to change service days/hours if you don't go in-person, you won't get anyone in time even if you try starting a week out. We have received the appropriate supplies and have agreed on a path forward. I think families have to be advocates for their loved ones no matter what company is providing hospice care. Having the supplies when you need them should not be an additional stress to an already stressful situation. I am appreciative of the efforts taken by Interim Hospice to resolve the issues.

Yeah high priority alright they spend a lot of my money and I didn't get the services I was promised instead I would come out in the middle of the nite and see the over nite staff sleeping. Vontaisha Aggison is always cheerful, has learned all my needs after just one visit and is attentive throughout her time with with me. She is very professional and even helps me with my grocery shopping, cell phone adventures (of which I am challenged), and has a great personality and a joy to be around.I Shadara Holmes was one of the first care givers to visit me. She picked me up from the hospital after surgery, took me to Doctor appointments, and made sure I kept all my appointments. She learned all my needs during my surgery recovery and was always here when I needed a helping hand. I don't know how I would have made it through my surgery recovery were it not for Shadara. Shadara, thank you very much. Tiffany Campbell is extremely qualified as a care giver and has a great personality. She knows what my routine is and always insures my needs are met (fixing meals, doing laundry, tidying up around the house, helping find my favorite TV programs.) She always checks that I have the next days food and clothes laid out before she ends her shift. Thank you Tiffany. Chonell Klass is extremely observant and is able to anticipate my needs even before I know I need them. She remembered my routine from her visit and has been extremely helpful in all my care tasks.
