Donya Johnson is fantastic! Always on time, pays complete attention to my care throughout the time, is cheerful and extremely helpful in all my daily tasks. Vontaisha Aggison is always cheerful, has learned all my needs after just one visit and is attentive throughout her time with with me. She is very professional and even helps me with my grocery shopping, cell phone adventures (of which I am challenged), and has a great personality and a joy to be around.I Shadara Holmes was one of the first care givers to visit me. She picked me up from the hospital after surgery, took me to Doctor appointments, and made sure I kept all my appointments. She learned all my needs during my surgery recovery and was always here when I needed a helping hand. I don't know how I would have made it through my surgery recovery were it not for Shadara. Shadara, thank you very much. Tiffany Campbell is extremely qualified as a care giver and has a great personality. She knows what my routine is and always insures my needs are met (fixing meals, doing laundry, tidying up around the house, helping find my favorite TV programs.) She always checks that I have the next days food and clothes laid out before she ends her shift. Thank you Tiffany. Chonell Klass is extremely observant and is able to anticipate my needs even before I know I need them. She remembered my routine from her visit and has been extremely helpful in all my care tasks. Chonell is great company as I am pretty much a "shut in" during my recovery from surgery. Thank you Chonell. read more

I just wanted to update my review. A "bump" if you will. These "alleged" home health aides left my mom to sit in her own excrement for an entire day, the aide claimed, she wasn't aware my Mom was to be changed/cared for. My Mom was a dementia patient. I attempted to contact the owners who ignored me until her husband threatened me claiming, he'd beat the shit out of me if I called again. I contacted the Dept of Health who conducted an investigation and found multiple violations & placed the company on corrective action. The owners defense was 'The patient was mean & difficult". These people shouldn't claim to be dementia experts if they don't understand, dementia patients can be combative, then neglect them. There's a list of other issues such as aides never showing up to my house but the office claiming the aide was at my house when I was home with NO aide there. They, then tried to charge me. This was a common occurrence. These bastards could care less about your loved ones. They just want your money. Want to see the Dept. of Health report, just say the word....... read more

So I was desperate looking for someone who could come take care of my mother who lives across the country , I called multiple places , all leaving me slightly disappointed . I got a call back promptly from Leanne at Home Instead and immediately felt better , she went the following day to visit with my mom (who isnt the most friendly lady when it comes to her needing help) and my mom felt very comfortable with her and i knew this was the best home care choice. I hired them that day. The next day she had everyday care , she has dementia and its getting worse everyday , but her care providers Patrica and Annisia are always her favorite topic and she loves them , she says they are her friends . The care and constant communication I have with the staff and the home providers is so wonderful. Its so great always being able to call and get an update. It feels more like a family then a service, my mothers days are filled with joy because of these ladies . I am so grateful to have such amazing care for my mother. I would recommend Home Instead to anyone who truly wants the best care for their parents. read more

Hired Home Instead based on the promises of finding a care giver for my mother. Our needs: simple: 3 mornings/week/4 hours per shift. We were told that we would have to pay for Covid testing. Through research, I found that covid testing is done at no charge at many local facilities. Here we are-6 weeks later and we STILL have no one for week day hours. All they can find is a Saturday morning aide. When speaking with the staffing person, she explained that it is because we dont want to pay for rapid covid testing. I'm sorry, but I say NO WAY that can be true. The facility my Mom is in requires testing within 5 days of care. I can not believe that your corporation does not require this of your aides considering the population they service. I am very displeased with the entire process. When I called to cancel service, I was told that I would lose my entire deposit ($705) if I choose to cancel all service effective immediately. We eventually reached a compromise, which I agreed to just to have this nightmare be over. read more

Im a delivery driver and i got a very large order to take to them. I rang the doorbell and waited like the instructions said. No one came to the door, i waved at the camera then the door was buzzed open. theres no front desk or anything so i just kinda walked into the very little entrance area, I didnt even walk 10 feet into the building before A nurse or worker (whatever she was) came rushing up to me and very rudely was telling i wasnt allowed in, I tried to explain what happened and that i was buzzed in and she wasnt having it. Very very rude and dismissive as hell. Cut me off saying "no we didnt" Maam then how the hell did i get inside when the door was locked? Whatever im trying to hand this giant bag of food over to her to give to whoever, since the delivery instructions only said to hand it to a nurse or worker. she asked me who it was for and I gave her the name she went to check & came back. Still rude was like we don't have anyone by that name here you're at the wrong place that i needed to leave. I called the customer that ordered the items and I had her on speakerphone, turns out it was a delivery for the nurses to thank them for working July 4 and even then the nurse that was rude and dismissive didn't let up she said oh thank you as a question. Didnt even care about the mix up and was still really inconsiderate and unappreciative. She sucked. Get better nurses that respect other people who are just doing their own job. Hey that nurse, if youre reading this, get a better attitude cause yours sucked. read more

Home Instead has provided excellent service and communication with me during the time, which is about at least a year or two, that I have used them for assisting me in my home. The caregivers are well versed in the routines I have them help me with once I explain what I need done. I have used about 3 other home assistance agencies in the past off and on since 2007 because of medical issues I have and Home Instead has been the most professional of all. I like the fact that the practice is well organized so that each employee has specific tasks he/she does when I call. I have immediately been referred to scheduling and have had the good fortune to have, a couple of years ago, the same two people rotating so that they knew my routine and I didn't need to take time to explain what I needed help with. As well, more recently I have continued to have professional care in my home and the caregiver was on time or, if caught in traffic, called the agency and they notified me, so I would not be concerned if they still on my schedule. Of course, each caregiver has a different personality and I usually spend at least 15 minutes or so when new ones arrive, so I can feel a more personal interaction between us. I highly recommend Home Instead to anyone who needs assistance in their home. Also, in my case for several times after surgeries, they also drove me to my doctor appointments and stayed in the waiting room until I was done. I have had two other agencies where the person who was helping me actually totally left the building and I had no idea where they were. I had to call that particular agency to contact them and they provided a very lame excuse why they left the waiting room and their car was not parked in the handicapped spot with MY placard displayed. If you need help in your home, I would most certainly recommend Home Instead to you. It is an outstandingly organized business that cares for others. read more
