We brought them in to help with Mom's comfort care in October after she'd been diagnosed with Bladder cancer at the age of 92. Suncrest provided so much assistance to my mom and our family. The staff was friendly, considerate, and caring. They gave my mom lots of laughs over her last months. I was with my mom almost every day as her health failed, and the comfort I got from their presence and support was immeasurable. In particular, nurse Christina, CNA Jayda, and social worker Judy were so wonderful. They, along with a phenomenal staff at Harbourway, allowed me and my family the ability to say farewell in a calm, loving environment. I would not hesitate to engage them again (and I hope that's a long way off...). Thank you all for making my mom comfortable in her last months.

She has been cared for by Tonya Phillips, who has worked closely with the nurse's aid at the facility. Tonya has faithfully checked in with us each week to update us on her condition. We were recently notified by the facility that they could no longer care for her because of the severity of a wound she had, and Traditions stepped up their care of her to every day, and were an assistance in finding a new location for her. Not only did Marlena suggest a new facility, but also arranged for her transfer from one facility to another. Ruth, the Social Worker, arranged a tele-conference between the facility, hospice, and us so we could accomplish the move. It truly takes a special type of person to be a hospice nurse and administrator...Tonya, Marlena, and Ruth were such people for our sister in law and us.

I was in the IOP (Intensive Outpatient Program) for about 14 total weeks. I started virtual, then…read morelost insurance and had to put a pause on the program. When I came back I completed the full 12 week program. This is the best program by far that I have done. I have been in and out of VB psych for years, but this program has done a world of justice for me. While in the program I got help with my job options because they have an academic/vocational advisor to talk to. I also got to participate in family groups, which no other program has offered for me. My family got to come with me to learn how they can be a support, but also to dig deeper into how up bringing plays a large role into mental health and coping skills. When searching for a place to go I wanted a place where I didnt have to see their med doctor because to many cooks in the kitchen is not a good thing. Sandstone allowed me to get just what I needed, which was therapy because I have a med doctor already and a therapist; however, I needed more therapy then just individual. Never have I considered that childhood plays a vital role in my current ways of coping, and this program helped me dive into that. They have been supportive all the way. Never was I ignored or went unheard. I got individual therapy as well during this besides just group and family. The best part is after I graduate there is an alumni program. The care doesnt stop at outpatient. The care continues for support with Sandstone family through the app where there are support groups, game nights, check ins, and a community who has been there and done that. When I say Sandstone is the absolute best care I have had, I mean it. I could not express my gratitude and amazement. I have bragged about them to everyone I know. The therapists actually care and are not there for just a check. My post does not even express how much they have done for me, but its amazing that they have so many programs. Its unheard of having a young adult group, and that was perfect for me. Everything from adolescent to adult is covered here. The young adult group provided such insight for me and relativity with people my own age.

I was in the hospital…read moresobbing because none of the independent aide companies or caregivers I had been calling for weeks came to fruition A woman from a hospice care company gave me Senora's card, and Mr. and Mrs. Smith, the owners, were at the rehab center within an hour meeting me and my dad and working on a match for him--no easy task I assure you. By the end of the day, they had found a wonderful aide who my curmudgeonly father has warmed right up to and who was there waiting for him when he got home the next day. You will be delighted with their services. They check on their aides often, are always available, and are very flexible in terms of unusual hours or requests that you may have.
