UPDATE: I emailed my concerns to the email provided in the response. I sent my email at 11:37am and…read moreDeborah sent an email back at 12:54pm, saying they did a "thorough investigation." Thorough investigation in that amount of time????? No one ever reached out to me. They lied and said the Clinical Director reached out and listened to my concerns in detail. This is a complete lie-no one reached out to me at all today to listen to my concerns. I talked with her in the beginning when we had issues but not for this complaint on the day of my mother in laws passing. Terrible that this agency can get away with lying and collecting their money without providing the services they promoted and said they would provide. My mother in law had Unity for her end of life care. Absolutely horrible experience. I am hoping another family doesn't have to endure what we did. When i had an emergency, i called the number as instructed, no one called me back, i called again, was told someone would get back with me, no one ever did. I dealt with the emergency by myself but needed to speak with a nurse for direction, but that wasn't happening. There were a couple of really good nurses that came on a semi regular basis, they were professional, friendly and mostly competent. The Chaplain was horrible and started arguing with me on the phone. I stopped taking his calls. We didn't need that extra stress. The social worker called us once never called again. The night my mother in law passed away, i needed to speak with a nurse really desperately. My mother in law had blood(A-LOT) coming out of her mouth. I called the on call, no response, i called again, the on call did call me back about 45 minutes later. I asked for a nurse maybe to come out. No one did. We were all alone not knowing what to do for her. It was the most horrific thing i have ever dealt with. When she passed, not one person offered their condolences other than the nurse that came out to declare her deceased. The social worker said we would have 13 months for follow ups. We have had NOTHING since she passed early January. I did call in the beginning when we started to experience issues, which the administrator Alan told us we could go with someone else. That was his solution instead of trying to fix the issue. I have dealt with many hospice agencies over the years and this is BY FAR the WORST I have encountered. Think twice before going with this agency. I am also checking into how they billed medicare. We have everything documented and if they bill for the services we didn't receive, that is Medicare fraud. I also have to add, i have been calling to try to speak with someone about this since JANUARY to no avail. Just put in another call today. My mother in law deserved better. They should be ashamed of themselves for the horrendous lack of care for not only my mother in law, but for our family as well.

The e-bills come from a random email address that looks like a scam, and when you log onto their website you are informed that there is a $6 fee PER TRANSACTION to pay online (I have an employer-provided HSA debit card and use that). If you want to pay over the phone, or even check to make sure the bill is valid forget it. They do not pick up the phone when you call, the voicemail even says they don't - they will call back within 2 business days. If you give them your work hours they will make sure they call while you're at work, so they don't have to talk to you. I am now forced to rely on my health insurance statement to reconcile these bills since, as another poster pointed out, they don't itemize their bills. Only tell you the penalties if you don't pay up. This company's lack of transparency, and inadequate customer support considering they bill monthly, is not good.

If I could give this company a zero 0/5 I would. I don't think I've ever given a review for any…read morecompany - but BJC home health care is the WORST home health supplies company I have EVER dealt with! And I have had to deal with many of them. The main problems are that they send the wrong supplies - and I mean ALL the supplies are incorrect. You can rarely get them on the phone - when you do they are always rude. When you leave messages - no one calls back. Every month or so I'd receive a VM from them threatening to send me to collections because of "insurance problems." Every time I'd call back I'd be told that the "problem was resolved" and I "shouldn't worry." Fast forward to January 2024 and I have now received a collections letter for over $1400. Turns out, that after one year of no services - BJC home health care NEVER figured out how to bill my insurance company. The $1400 is some kind of random amount that was sent without me receiving any services or supplies. Nor did I ever receive a statement. Just a letter from a collections company. Stay away from this company at all costs! It is a terrible home health company.
