TSO offers the best customer service experience possible and you get great glasses to boot. As soon as I walked in the door I was greeted by the staff and they checked me in. I only waited about 5 min before getting my eyes checked. Throughout the entire time, the young lady helping me was amazing. Extremely courteous... professional...and every other word that relates to customer service exemplified. I took in my old glasses so they already had an idea of my prescription. The doctor took me to the back for the eye exam and about 10 min later I was walking out. The staff then showed me which lenses I could pick from based off my insurance. After choosing the ones I liked, they said they should be ready in about 1 week. Well to my nice surprise they were ready for pickup the next day! When I went to pick them up they gave me the case with a spray and small towel to clean them with in a small bag with my name hand written on it. The devil is in the details but those little details win over customers. This feels like a fairly new optical... slightly small...but with it's amazing staff, great doctor, and top-of-the line customer service, it feels and is the best place to get your glasses.

B/c of my dry eyes I tend to favor glasses over contact lenses and I love how they look on me and more the compliments that I receive. I also have astigmatism and I've been pleased with the glasses and daily wear contact lens prescription that she has prescribed. Her staff members are super polite and responsive. Etc.). My family all agrees she is the best in the area for eye exams. One family member had a hard time with contact lenses and Dr. Chang was great working with her. The lady who did the screening and initial testing for glaucoma, etc., was also very friendly and thorough. The ladies at the reception however could use a refresher on customer service. They did not greet me or others I noticed as we arrived. They looked like they really didn't want to be there or help. Perhaps I just caught them at a bad time. The day I went the office could have been managed better. While I had an appointment for 1 PM and arrived 15 minutes prior, I did a lot of waiting. They took me back on time, but it was 3 PM before I got out. The frames are all name brand and expensive, not well organized. If you're in a hurry, you might want to go somewhere else. However I felt it was worth the wait and the lack of professionalism from the front desk to be seen by Dr. Chang. I have tried several other places in town over the last 18 years. Some others have nicer looking buildings and perky people, but she is the best I have found. Prices are reasonable too, and some insurance is accepted. I do recommend Nolana Eye Center for eye exams but I go elsewhere to actually buy my glasses. The office is part of an older strip mall. Rather dated, a little dark with wood paneling. There is a private parking lot and it's in a great location on Nolana Ave.

Everyone in the office was friendly and I was seen quickly. The eye exam was thorough as well.read more

Another is huge, but packed with cheap, flimsy frames (and clerks that won't even acknowledge your presence). And then there is this store where the inventory, prices and service are just right! There is certainly something to be said about great service! Rebekah was very knowledgeable and was able to help me pick the most appropriate frame for my prescription. Their frames were stylish, yet sturdy, well-made and priced fairly. After discussing my options I settled on two pairs of progressives. This was my first time with bifocals and Rebekah was, again, just wonderful in explaining my options, providing helpful tips on how to use them, and assuring me that I could come right back in if I had any problems. She also explained the importance of precision in progressives so I was happy to see that they used digital measurement. I was so happy with my glasses that E. came here to get his prescription filled too. He had a pair of progressives that he got last year at another place and he never did get used to them so he had just set them aside. They were able to make him new lenses and now he is seeing just fine! After 5 months of blissful vision I fell asleep in my glasses and bent them beyond repair. Fortunately they said I had purchased insurance and so they replaced them for $20 with no hassle. They even had the frame in-stock so I was in and out in just a few minutes. You can bet that E. and I will return when it is time for new glasses!

Once I chose my frames, one of the associates helped me order my lenses. Simple lenses are done in-house and can be done within an hour! Of course, since I'm vintage, I need progressives with no line, and progressive lenses take up to a week and a half. However, I received a message by text informing me they were ready for pickup in only 6 days. I also got a couple other add ons like the anti-glare, anti-scratch coating (the latter I believe should be standard and included from the start). I wound up paying probably a tad more than what I paid for my current one pair of glasses, but for the price I am getting two pairs. The service I received was professional and friendly. They adjusted the ear pieces for a perfect fit. I'm pleased with my purchase.

I came back in after trying my new pair of glasses for a few days because the nose pads it came with were digging into my nose and were very uncomfortable. There was a girl there dressed in all black (maybe early 20s, I wasnt too sure) and I told her I needed them adjusted. I don't know why but she kept looking at me like I was an alien or something whenever I spoke. Just a really weird look and as if she didn't understand a word I was saying. It was the weirdest thing. I didn't catch her name but she helped me as best as she could with the adjustments, but it still didn't feel right. I returned that same day and luckily Mary was there. She went to the back, replaced and adjusted the nose pads, and my glasses felt great on my nose. It seemed like she was also talking/teaching the girl I saw earlier too. I think that girl wearing all black must've been new,, I'm not too sure, but I highly recommend this place because of Mary's help. Thank you Mary.
