I do NOT recommend this place they gave me the wrong prescription in my glasses did NOT let me know you only have 100 days to correct their mistake After I called the first week I told them I had issues with migraines and pain in my eye all they say is THEY HAVE TO ADJUST adjust to what the wrong prescription!!!!!! so thanks for nothing I wasted my money on glasses I cannot use EVER !!! Horrible place. Went to get glasses for only my 3 kids using insurance we have had for 3 years. There prices were outrageous. But that's not the issue. The issue was that we left because of the prices and told them we weren't going to get anything. The next day i went to another eyeglass place to find glasses for my 3 kids and they informed me that they couldn't look at my insurance since someplace had already ran an Authorization. Upset i called this visionworks and they didn't delete the authorizations on there side. I spoke to Jessica and she said it would take 30 days, and i questioned that, as this has never been a problem in 20+ years of having vision insurance myself. Then after i questioned it, she said they would delete them but that it would take about 24 hours. SO now onto the main issue that is complete BS. I asked the new place if they could look at my benefits and the kicker, they said i had an authorization, as well as my wife. Like what the hell, i didn't do anything for glasses just my kids. So I called back and spoke to Jessica again and she said its because when they do authorizations its for the Policy. Like what? What BS are they playing at, I have never heard such BS that the authorization is per policy. Why the hell did they do an authorization for my wife and me when we didn't even have the need to get glasses. The Lady then deleted my wife and my aurhtoizations and i hung up at that. I called the insurance company to verify and they told me authorizations are per person not group, which i already new. But what BS is this store doing. Further more, the authorizations were still in place, so i had the insurance company delete them. Now we need to wait until at least Monday to order glasses as many places are now closed and closed on Sunday. Do not use this place, they are horrible. read more

The ladies working here are truly amazing! They're always so friendly, fun, and help me get the best deal for what I'm looking for. Whether I'm coming in to order a new pair, picking up a prescription, or sending a pair back because despite the order description, they sent a different size, they've got me covered! I've been coming to this location off and on for the longest, but this is the best group by far! There's a Visionworks 7 minutes from my house, but I'll drive the extra 7 to hit this location in Rolling Oaks. Located on the first floor near where the Sears used to be. read more

I forgot to review for last year. I'm going for my daughter and i annual eye exam soon . But last year I went for my eye exam and my daughter was with me. During Covid. All of a sudden my daughter got sick and start vomiting everywhere as I'm getting my eyes checked. Dr. Jones went above and beyond for me. She was so compassionate with my daughter and I. She helped me take care of my daughter. She has so much empathy for me and told me not worry that she's been through this a million times. She got be rescheduled asap. There's so much more to say. I will say this. Wherever Dr.Jones goes I will follow l. Her staff is also amazing. Their office was spotless. Fast and very easy service. Just wanted to give a big shout out to Billy and his crew at the Visionworks at the Rolling Oaks Mall. I have worn the same prescription for the past 4 years because every other retailer was unable to obtain the pair of Gants (think John Lennon frames), until I visited here for my annual eye exam. I brought in my old recipt that had the SKU for my old frames. Billy went above and beyond by calling other stores, out of state even, to find a Visionworks that had them in stock, since these frames were no longer being produced and were out of stock everywhere else. Now I have a new pair of Gants with my new prescription and couldn't be happier! Billy even ordered another pair of frames for me and will call when they arrive, so I won't ever have to look for frames again! Thank you again, Billy and Visionworks for going above and beyond! read more

After I dried the tears off my face and collected my thoughts....just finding out my perfect 2 year old little boy isn't so perfect....I ventured out find glasses for him. I rounded up the usual suspects, Walmart, Sears, and Lenscrafters. All priced a pair of glasses for him starting at $75 per pair except Lenscrafters....those rip-off artists wanted $189 for the lenses PLUS $59 for the frames...BASTARDS!!! Die! Die Die! Well after dragging my teary eyed toddler around the mall for an hour, a sale sign peered around the corner. 2 PAIRS for $99!!! What??? I could not believe my eyes...Did I need glasses too? Nope! It was the entrance to the most magical land of specs. The selection was hands down the best by far. They offered 10 time more pairs that the other guys. We were quickly served and fitted! AND GET THIS....they said the glasses would be ready in 2 hours. Sears said it would take 2 WEEKS!!! I picked up the glasses promptly in 2 hrs and they fit him perfectly.....my son hasn't taken them off since. I thought him getting glasses would be a daily battle....but no! The staff was wonderful....and we got 2 pairs for the price of 1! If I could give them 10 stars I would. They have a customer for life! read more

Their selection by far surpasses any other stores. The staff was so educated on their inventory, that they immediately found the frames I wanted - funky and colorful, just how I like it. Their pricing is also the best I've ever seen - the total price I paid here was just the cost of the lenses at Lenscrafters! Christina and Carmela were so helpful and knowledgeable, and not pushy or nosy like other stores I've been to. I'd highly recommend going to see one of them. This location needs a lot of work on it's customer service. I had 5 very poor interactions with this store (now called Visionworks). My first visit was on a saturday afternoon (very crowded with customers) and I was drawn in because of the "Buy one pair, get a second pair free) promotion. I was not greeted by anyone and was not approached for about 15 minutes. That should have been my first clue that I would have a bad experience but I was so excited by the selection of glasses and the promotion that I ignored the lack of customer service and made a mental note to return when my insurance was activated 2 weeks later. I returned on a Thursday evening at 6pm and the two pair of glasses that I fell in love with (a pair of bright red Armani Exchange & navy/clear strip Converse) were still there. This time I was greeted as I walked in the store and was told that I would be assisted shortly. Over a half-hour later I was still not assisted and it didn't seem that the 3 customer service people were any closer to completing what they were doing for their current customers and there were people who had arrived before I had. I decided to put the glasses on hold and return on Saturday to complete my purchase. Saturday was another 35 to 40 minute wait. The gentleman who assisted me was friendly and engaging and quickly completed the sale. He took a measurement with a goggle type of device and then informed me that I would have to wait 10 days because the Hi-index lenses were not in-stock. I was slightly frustrated with the wait-time and that I was also not able to use my insurance because the promotion was not able to be combined with insurance, but really happy with the frames and the price. Picking up my glasses was frustrating - they did not have a case for me to put my contact lenses into while I tried on the glasses and so I had to drive to a Walgreens to purchase a case. I returned, tried on the glasses, and my vision didn't seem correct. The customer service rep said I just needed to get used to wearing glasses. After a week of not getting used to them I returned about 20 minutes before closing and told them my vision was still blurry but that when I adjusted them up my vision improved. They adjusted the ear-grips but that didn't solve the problem. I left frustrated and decided to go to another location to have the problem resolved. Gregory, the Store Manager from The Forum (Live Oak, TX) location was AMAZING and redeemed Visionworks with his GREAT customer service and by fixing the problem: taking my pupil measurements to make sure that the center of vision was in the correct location. read more

The service at this store in Rolling Oaks Mall is fantastic. They worked with me to find the best combination of insurance and sales offers to get 2 pairs of glasses at the lowest cost. The glasses came in and they showed great interest in making sure the glasses fit just right. The service I received at this location was top-notch. Both Laura, the General Manager at the store at Rolling Oaks Mall, and CeCe her co-worker, who assisted us the two days we purchased glasses were extemely professional and very knowledgeable with regards to proper selection of frames and determination of which lense built to our specifications would best serve our needs. I loved the 60% off sale going on until I believe the 23rd of September, 2019. That's 60 percent off everything!! We did enjoy the buy one, get one free sale in previous visits to this store, but this was even better. My daughter and I both benefitted from that sale, my daughter especially since she was being fitted with the right pair of glasses frames to go along with a new lense prescription from an error made by an employee of a competitor. We are both extremely excited in anticipation of stopping by to pick up our new eyewear in a little while and then experiencing the compliments no doubt coming our way from family and friends once they see us in our new vision wear. read more

I have purchased glasses from this store several times and appreciate the service always provided. More importantly, I appreciate the care after the sale. I had a problem with a pair of prescription safety glasses where the cushions had failed. I called to see if there were cushion replacements and was told no. While I did state my unhappiness in that, I dropped the situation and forgot about it. I was happily surprised tonight when I received a new replacement cushion via the mail. Billy, the store manager and his staff didn't have to take the steps to find the item, but he did! I am totally sold on the service provided and definitely will use them again! After nine months of infrequent wear, my Nike glasses broke. The location of the break was where they originally used their pliers to adjust the frames. Apparently the original fitting and adjustment weakened the frame. Unfortunately, I was only offered a modest discount on the replacement frame. Seems like a loyal customer like me would receive more thoughtful care. Although they have great selection and good prices, I plan on taking my business elsewhere next time. read more

I cannot stress how upset and disappointed I am with this establishment, particularly the optometrist they partner with at the Rolling Oaks Mall location. I walked in for an eye exam not too long after I moved to the San Antonio area in August. The staff inside the optometrist office was kind to me, but the doctor herself was less than pleasant. She rushed me through my eye exam and right on out the door with my prescription. I walked over to Vision Works with my prescription and they quoted me over 500$ for a pair of eye glasses and a pair of prescription sunglasses because the optometrist prescribed me transition lenses . Their price was way too high for the selection they offered, so I took my business elsewhere. After receiving my new glasses I realized that the prescription was not working for me. I spent weeks with headaches and finally went back to get my eyes rechecked. The doctor refused, but changed my prescription. I had my prescription changed FOUR times in the span of a month and a half before finally giving up on that doctor. I paid to have my eyes examined elsewhere and found out that I didn't even need transition lenses. Two months of headaches, a decreased quality of life, and rude customer service from the optometrist was the cherry on top of spending over 300$ on lenses that I NEVER EVEN NEEDED. I will never go to Visionworks again, period. read more
