Can I give a -3 stars? This place is the worst!!! Avoid at all cost! Their system is beyond useless! You can schedule your appointment online enter all your information and confirm your appointment calling the number you text and you still don't get an appointment! Their customer service at the store is even worst!!! They are very unprofessional. The fist time the lady at the counter just dismissed me to take care of another customer and just didn't care. The second one was just as bad! This one told me that you can only confirm your appointment by talking with a person. However their system doesn't send you directly to a customer rep and nowhere does it say that you have to speak directly to a person. I'm definitely not going back to this hell hole and will find a new provider with competent and friend staff! Send recommendations please! read more

Heath and the team at VisionWorks made sure my exam and the picking out of new glasses went super smoothly. I didn't feel rushed. They even send out these text messages that allow you to see when your glasses will be ready for in-store pick-up. The fitting process was easy and they make sure you don't leave until your glasses fit just right. Side-note I took my existing sunglasses with me and had not prescription polarized lenses put in. Game changer when you love your sunnies and don't want to give them up just yet. read more

Do not come here. Biggest waste of time. I scheduled an appt here for 420pm. I then get a phone call at 412 asking me if I want to reschedule my appt because they already have someone scheduled at 420pm. I literally have the text message confirmation from them, confirming my appt was at 420pm. I even showed up for my scheduled time and showed them my appt confirmation text. "Well we already have someone here for a 420 appt. Can we reschedule you for tomorrow". No you can't reschedule me. I already canceled other obligations for this appt. I had an appointment with this company on 04/30/22. I should have left when I heard another customer fuss about how they messed up her Ray-Ban glasses and removed the label. Then another customer walked in with his son and they messed up her son's sport lenses. My experience was that they didn't have a wide selection of frames to choose from and their customer service was not great. I called maybe 2 days later and told them that I was not satisfied and to refund my money. I told them that I didn't want the glasses that I had purchased. They gave me my patient portion back for the frames, but not the copay for the exam. Now let's fast forward to now. I went to get my exam with another company on Saturday, and I was told that my benefits were used and paid out by my insurance company. I called Vision Works immediately because why would you expect payment from my insurance company when services were not rendered? They had no response but to tell me that my claim was old. IDK how old my claim was, you should not have accepted a payment from my insurance if you knew you did not render the service. That is called INSURANCE FRAUD. And if it was not brought to my attention on Saturday, you guys would have gotten away with this. Now it makes me wonder how many other customers they have done this to. First off I'd like to say the young lady working there yesterday was delightful. She was the only one. When I went in just a little after 9am for my scheduled exam there were 2 gentlemen customers and the receptionist/ sales person in the building. One gentlemen appeared to be upset mumbling something about not having time for this and leaving. The other was looking at frames. I went up to the receptionist and let her know I was there for my exam. Immediately a look of worry came across her face. She let me know "We don't have a doctor scheduled for this morning so it will have to be a tele-health appointment." I was surprised and actually said "They can do that?? Okay why not?" She smiled and said great. That there was one person ahead of me. I let her know that was fine then said "Not to be 'that guy' but would you have a guess as to how long I'll be waiting for my virtual appointment?" She said "You've been really nice so I want to be honest. It'll be about a hour and a half. We have to call doctors to see if they will take the apt. & sometimes we wake them up." She started apologizing profusely. I told her how much I appreciated her honesty and let her know I understood she was doing her best to keep business going that morning but declined and let her know I'd be going somewhere else and hoped her day got better. This review is isn't about her. She was AMAZING, doing her best in a crappy situation. It is for VisionWorks corp. DO BETTER! It is unacceptable to put one of your employees in this situation where they are having to cover the shortcomings of inadequate management or physicians. I went the first time to check availability and they were nice and respectful. I made an appointment for the next day When I return the same receptionist was rude and dismissive. After my visit with the doctor they wanted $68 for only 6 contact lenses. I will never go back. The entire experience was an unconscionable experience that I wont soon forget. read more

Everything Visionworks promised they did. They have a very good selection and the fitting was spot on. My insurance was taken so l got a pair of at a great price. The woman who waited on me was great, full of knowledge and personality. i will most definitely will be heading back when it's time to get a new pair. This office is poorly ran. They are so unorganized. I made an appointment for my sons first eye exam. They call me 2 days before the appointment to confirm that I know this appointment wouldn't be with the Dr in the office. It would be a telehealth appointment. I was never told that it would be a telehealth appointment when I scheduled it and wanted an appointment with the Dr in the room. They said I would have to reschedule and the next available appt with the Dr was 2 weeks later. I said that's fine. On the day of the original appt I received an email saying they were looking forward to seeing my son. I tried to call and tell them that appt was canceled and I wanted to make sure the new appt was actually scheduled. They don't answer their phone. It's all automated and you can never talk to a live person. The morning of the new appt I get a call saying they will have to reschedule my sons appt because the telehealth machine is down. I said this appt was supposed to be with the Dr not telehealth and they said the Dr wasn't in today. So they cancelled our first telehealth appt and rescheduled another teIehealth appt in its place. I explained the whole situation and instead of the employee saying "I'm sorry for the confusion" or "I'm sorry for any inconvenience this has caused" she says I'm just doing my job". If they did their job our appointment would have been scheduled correctly. read more

I went there early before my eye exam to try on glasses, but every single pair of glasses I went to try on were filthy, I mean gross like no one ever cleaned them. When I said something about it the three employees that were there were on their phones or doing absolutely nothing because I was the only customer in the store(Now I know why) they completely ignored me. WARNING DO NOT GO HERE. I made an appointment and was never notified it was virtual. I arrive and they notify me of this, which I thought was odd, but already made arrangements for this appointment so went ahead with it. As the appointment proceeded, it turns out the projector for the virtual visit was broken, and has been for some time. After calling into the tech services, I was notified I would have to reschedule or come in tomorrow, as the doctor told the associates to "double book as much as they could" to make up for this. The lack of communication and respect for the customer's time was astonishing. As I was leaving, I asked to speak to the gm or any manager, and they told me "no, have a great day" in the snarkiest tone I have ever heard. Second visit went in to check the place out since insurance worked got my information in the system. Called this week booked an appointment. Somehow found my account in the system. Filled out the paperwork online only to show up and the girl behind the desk tells me she has my name and nothing else. After repeating my phone # 3 times. Oh here it is but the paperwork will not download. Must be a glitch. The "glitch" was behind the desk. I left and made sure the doctor knew I would take my business elsewhere due to incompetence. HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE!!!! Do NOT go here!! I came for an eye exam for contacts at 4pm. At first everyone was super friendly. The exam was short she brought me to a room to try on my contacts. she helped for a little and then told me to watch a video training. I'm attempting to put my contacts in for a good while and she starts helping another patient. she comes in the room with the patient and checks on me then leaves for a while. I'm waiting for a hot minute so I go by the desk to see if I'm finished. the girl tells me she's going to get the doctor but before she gets up I guess the doc heard me and came back in the room to tell me I can start wrapping it up, but it was as if I still had to wait for something. I realized one of my contacts ripped so I told desk girl and she says I gotta wait for doc (who's gonna be with someone for idk how long! ) I'm waiting and waiting and waiting next thing I know it's 5:30. I'VE BEEN THERE AN 1HR AND A HALF!!! she's still helping other people and the girl at the desk is working with someone else in one of the rooms!! I told them I had to go and the desk girl tells me "well you still have to check out". At that point idk how much longer that was going to take since she already started helping someone in another room so I looked to see if another employee can help me out because teamwork right? I told the lady I've been waiting forever and I just want to check out. She gives me an attitude brings me to the desk and tells me my copay. I reminded her I didn't leave with any trial contacts because I didn't want to wait anymore and wanted to have a better understanding of what exactly I was going to leave with if I'm paying for this eye exam (I also asked if I should just pick them up tomorrow or what the deal is since everything was so unclear and not communicated properly). She got frustrated and told me she didn't understand what I was asking and that I could just leave I don't have to pay. When I told her she didn't have to act like that and that I would pay, she defended herself by saying I gave her an attitude when I asked to check out. So she basically dismissed me. Her poor excuse was that they're understaffed and everyone has been waiting (invalidating my experience) and REFUSED to continue helping me. I have worked customer service for years and this was no way to handle this situation. they were EXTREMELY un accommodating in empathetic, disrespectful, and clearly inexperienced. I had every right to be upset. I tried to be patient, but I felt my patience and time were being taken advantage of. It was very upsetting seeing other people being taken care of who came after me while I've been waiting for an exam that shouldn't have lasted as long as it did. If I didn't leave, they would have left me sitting there for another hour. That was my last time walking out of there. read more

Do NOT come here. When I went to pick up my contact lens order, it was incorrect. While I do not fault the store associates for the manufacturer's order fulfillment error, it has been an entire week and I have not been provided with confirmation that my order was corrected, an estimated delivery date, or a tracking number. I have called four times. Four times I was promised a call back "by the end of the day" and no one ever calls back. Now I'm on my last pair of lenses, am due to travel out of town, and hundreds of dollars poorer with nothing to show for it. Maybe leaving a negative review will get y'all's attention. This is insane. I emailed your customer service inbox already too. UPDATE: it took you guys an additional four days to even submit my corrected order and when you did, you had it shipped to the store instead of to my house like you offered to do. Truly inept. This was ok at the beginning, but as I proceeded to try to get info on my prescription they shut me down. First I tried getting info online. Found out that they are 2 separate entities. So when I went to pick up glasses at the store, they would not give me info about the glasses. They told me the info would be different from glasses to glasses. Instead of getting into an argument with them, I thought leaving a bad review might be the only satisfaction I might get. What a horrible experience. Would avoid at all cost!!!!! Sorry I made the mistake of not reading these reviews before going. Very impersonal. All the tests on your eyes are done by a doctor remotely- you can see the doctor on the tv screen. I felt the office ladies were rushing me into picking out glasses . When I mentioned I wanted to order contacts, they acted surprised that i had asked such a place for contacts. They didn't have any trial contacts in store, and will have to order. I paid for my glasses and left without realizing they didn't tell me when to expect my glasses to be ready. The envelope with the 'date to be ready' isn't filled out. No prescription was given. And when you call, it's all automated and can't speak with a person. They weren't rude, just not informative or friendly or welcoming atmosphere. read more

The level on ineptitude and unprofessionalism is off the charts at this location. I am now here for my 5th time and it only needed to be once. I got the wrong prescription twice by a virtual doctor and had to sit in the chair 3 times. Meanwhile I didn't even get examined the second time and he just gave me a random prescription. I'm surprised that sales associates know how to get up in the morning. Having them literally say "my hands are tied" and "this is the best that I can do". They're promises of giving me a call back and never doing so... the audacity to have me pay for the third pair of contacts even though they are so in the wrong. I've been dealing with this for more than two months now. Having the wrong rx for that long is asinine. It's not like it's a bad manicure. It's my vision! This is beyond frustrating read more

I went in to get glasses during the Covid 19 pandemic and they were very careful about everything. You were unable to enter the store until the person before you was finished. They sanitized everything I had contact with even the pen I used to sign in. The Optometrist Deborah Broussard was very kind and helpful. She kept me informed about the process and test results., and kept me at ease. The manager Ashley helped me pick out frames that looked great and "stepped up my style!" I love this place!! read more

I've been going to Visionworks for 10 years and spent at least $1K there. I needed a new pair of prescription sunglasses and came in for quick exam and to choose frames. There was no optometrist on site. I couldn't make an appt. because they couldn't tell me when an optometrist would be there. So disappointed! read more

Incredibly rude staff. I arrived 6 minutes after my appointment was supposed to start. Stood there waiting by the front door for another 4 minutes without being greeted until Ashley came up to take my temperature and then told me that Dr. Broussard would not be able to eat lunch if they still saw me because she was already behind. I explained that I had been wearing the same pair of contacts since March (9 months ago) and they still insisted I reschedule since I was one minute past their grace period. Spent 10 minutes in my car afterwards crying due to their rudeness. Needless to say I will not be returning. read more

Not a great experience today seems they have a bait and switch policy. Buy one pair get one free I was told is not available when using insurance. Used my Vision plan only too find out the cost was over 400.00 dollars for one pair single vision glasses. You would think when you spend that amount for a Compleat pair of glasses you should be able to get and extra one for an equal or lesser value. Visited in January of 2020. We needed glasses in a hurry, as my daughter broke hers the morning we were boarding a cruise ship. The staff were all amazing. They went out of their way to get the prescription from our optometrist in Arkansas, got the glasses made, and got us on our way. They even gave us directions to go get some beignets while we waited. Oh, and when all was said and done, it was way less money than I expected to pay for a rush job like that. Shout out to Chikira and the whole staff. Thank you so much! read more

This may be the best eye doctor I have ever been to. EVERYONE and I mean every single employee is super sweet. They are all so knowledgeable and willing to help. I didn't feel rushed, the price was reasonable and I didn't wait in the waiting room long at all before my exam. They are also not pushy in upselling you anything like I've experienced in the past. I was literally 5 minutes late for a 2:40 appointment. There were only employees in the lobby and by the time someone got to me I was now 9 minutes past my appointment with Dr. Jennifer Griffin. I was told the doctor said had I been 8 minutes instead of 9 minutes she would have seen me but I would now have to reschedule. Keep in mind appointments are not required their website states "walk-ins welcome". I asked to speak to the doctor and i was told she stated I could wait till 5 to have a word with her. Again the place was EMPTY save the one patient she was supposedly with. When I asked for her full name the receptionist stated she didn't know it and when I asked her to look it up or ask her she stated she would not give it. So Dr. JENNIFER Griffin was this diva doctor's name and I will NEVER be back. Thankfully I went across the street to Vision Optique where they also state walk-ins welcome and I was able to get my exam, contacts and glasses without any of the drama. read more

Staff was very attentive. The doctor actually came to bring me to the patient area to wait for the associate to look up my insurance info. I didn't wait very long to start the vision testing, which was a nice experience. All the machines were newer, everything was sanitized prior to me touching it and after I was done. The doctor was amazing. She made my eye exam almost an educational experience. I originally declined the retinal screening, mostly bc I thought it was done the old school way by eye dilation. The associate did explicitly explain to me that it wasn't done by dilation anymore, that it was a scanning method. But I still declined. The doc asked during my exam if I had opted into it, and I asked for her honest opinion if I should do it ,and she explained the benefits of having it done. The exam and machine now show a wider scope behind the retina, and can potentially show signs of early degenerative disease, damage, cancer, inflammation. With my maternal side being genetically predisposed to developing diabetes, I figured I should have it done just in case I was developing something from an undiagnosed problem that I may have. Anyway, the doc was extremely nice and efficient. She also really listened to any concerns I had & had conversations with me about them. I've recommended her to many of my friend's and colleagues. read more

Today I arrived 7 minutes late for an eye exam, due to rain and traffic, and called on my way to say I'd be a few minutes late. When I arrived the woman at the front said I had missed the grace period which is 5 minutes and I would have to reschedule. She refused to fit me in, and I am just appalled at the complete lack of customer service and compassion. Ive been a patient for years and was planning to purchase new glasses and contacts today. Today is March 11 and have not heard a word from them after many promises to call. I am now going to Lenscrafters for my new glasses. I would never recommend Visionworks.
