Hispanic lady at the front desk with glasses gave me an attitude the minute I got here as if I shouldn't even be here. Telling me it's going to be a long wait when the guy on the phone said it would be 5 minutes to put screws into my glasses. Then she has the audacity to tell me it's a courtesy we provide meaning we're not obligated to do it. The glasses are literally from visionworks. I feel like this is some kind of discrimination. I'm a customer just like everybody else. Just because I wear a scarf over my head because I'm a practicing Muslim woman doesn't mean I should be treated any differently. I walked in and asked for the prescription. The clerk help printing out my information and tell me to wait. He walked to back office then disappear. I just stay for him to come and give me the prescription. However, waiting more than 30 min. he didn't show up, so I ask the receptionist of the front desk when my prescription will be ready. She then takes out few prescription issued by the doctor and give it to me. I found their service is extremely poor and no one cares. The one prints out my info. and tells me wait, not present. The one has my description and see me sitting there for a while, did not ask me what I am waiting for. very disappointed this poor customer service. read more

Everything was terrible. The service is a disaster. They called and confirmed and then had my entire family wait an hour and a half. We weren't the only ones. It was also explained to us we shouldn't have had an afternoon appointment because mornings are better. Aside from that, the hip hop classics while entertaining didn't exactly feel appropriate. In addition to having us wait, they continued to take people ahead of us and acted like we were the problem when we got annoyed. I would never recommend this particular location. Avoid if possible. Jesse, the manager, was great; she took care of us after we told her about an unpleasant experience we had with another employee. She spoke with them and their tone changed with us after that. She followed up with us, explained the benefits in detail, and was super friendly and accommodating the whole time. Excellent customer service. I'll be asking for her the next time we visit. The other associates were friendly overall. On the other hand, Dr. Han, who performed the exam was not very friendly nor was she mean- just blah. She didn't make eye contact as she asked standard questions, performed the exam, and that was it- no conversation about my vision or anything. read more

Please DO NOT go to this location despite it being in Bergen county they have the worst customer service I have ever experienced. They lack empathy , training and compassion. Had an appointment today at 5pm arrived on time with my newborn, toddler and older son. As associate is checking me in she tells me my insurance she can verify but system (marchvision) is down as of now. Being I work in medical field I know you can call to verify and so I mention that. She then says it's closed , I said no it's not would you like me to call, she looked upset. As I am calling march vision for her on my cell phone my toddler attempts to touch card reader on desk and she goes to slap his hand. I honestly was in complete shock as I was on the phone with insurance I pulled my son away. I asked for supervisor about 3-4 times. All in all she got the confirmation number she needed despite her saying they were closed. Once checked in I patiently waited with kids for our turn after 45 mins of getting the confirmation number i noticed people that checked in after me were all being seen. I ask her is everything ok because I see we everyone being seen except us. She rolls her eyes doesn't say anything goes to supervisor . Then comes back to tell me I need to reschedule because they are closing soon. Mind you I was there at 5pm and they are telling me this at 6:35pm because I approached them to ask. This was unprofessional and intentional had I not asked was I going to be seen they did not attempt to tell me we couldn't be seen. I asked supervisor how can this be have me wait. 1.5 hours and tell me this because I'm asking when I will be seen. There was no sincere apology for the inconvenience just a shrug and emphasis on rescheduling. Avoid this location if you have kids and call them to make sure "their system is not down to verify insurance " . I have been visionworks customer for 10+ yrs (not this location but Passaic county) will not go back to this location will return to Passaic county location. read more

1st question (after a temperature check), was did I fill out the "paperwork" on line. Nope. Never got a request or a link for that. As I waited, others that came in fielded the same question and it seems that my answer was the same as the others; then... Apparently a 9am appointment isn't really 9am, so I'd say be prepared to wait... in my case called in at 9:35. The save here... Dr Han was well worth any wait. Give her a raise. I will say that barring the Dr, the service is slow and to keep the door open for the social distancing with people outside, they need to have a way - way better system. I will update my review to say that my experience with my exam was 10x better than last year. My only issue this time was that I ordered Kate spade designer glasses, when I came to pick them up today my glasses arrived in a visionworks case. I know that they should have come in a kate spade case considering they were nearly 300 dollars. The lady said "I do believe we have an extra case in the back , let me look" and walked out WITH MY CASE. I feel as though had I not mentioned this I would have been scammed out of something I paid for that should have come with my frames without question. So that was a little odd. read more

Go ANYWHERE else. I had a prescription filled here and the glasses came in completely useless. I actually became nauseous because everything was double. Mistakes happen so I was okay with the promise it would be resolved. I was supposed to hear from them, but so far it's crickets. The place is sloppy as are the people who work here. I went in at 2pm and made a appt with the sales person for 5pm I arrived at 4;58 and was told to wait! 5:15 arrived and asked how much longer and was told 5 more minutes! 5:35 came and I asked again how much longer and was told 5 more minutes that's where I pointed at there slogan make appts easier for you in which that was false advertisement cause my experience was ruined and I didn't get a eye exam done and wasted my time and had to pay for my sitter to come to watch my daughter which I lost money on! Was not informed of the difference, called to question and the office was argumentative and awful. They claims generic and name brand is the same despite different item, logo, and price! 9:40 I got here.... It's now 11:40.... I took 3 seconds to pick my glasses because I'm running late for work and I still had to wait for an hour now. I've been trying to leave since I sat down after the exam. I said I would come back, the women kept leaving and saying one more minute. It's a new system they don't understand, which is fine. I just wanted a copy of my script and I would have come back. Now it's been 7 minutes that I'm trying to pay for some stupid thing that's part of the exam that I'm not entirely sure they're allowed to charge me for since I have Medicaid. I have no copays on anything so why does vision works have one? I have to call Medicaid now when I get out of here.. if I ever get out of here. As I'm leaving finally they're acting like it's inconvenient of me to want to get to work and not spend two and a half hours at the optometrist. read more

I bought new glasses from them. It did not fit me right I brought it back to them to get a new pair. They would not let me keep that pair until the new one came in so I had to go without my glasses for two weeks before the new one came in normally takes one week this time it took two weeks and that whole time I'm without my glasses. read more

It does not deserve any stars. They booked an appointment for a follow up on a contacts class, never heard of a class to pass ever, not telling us it had to be within 60 days of the first appointment. So the appointment was made for after the 60 days and when we arrived today they said there was nothing they could do about it and it was our fault, not theirs for the mix up. It was confirmed that it would not be an issue, since it was far after the original appointment. It was my fault I had to leave for school and couldn't come back for their convenience. They knew this brought up multiple times and said they would save them. The first and second time, for each appointment, they had no idea what I was there for, great on their part. read more

I am completely frustrated. I had an appointment today at 2:40. The person at the counter was very welcoming. After about ten minutes, I was directed to the back for pre-tests. The woman who did these tests was great. Then it all went downhill. I was told to go back out front and wait until the doctor called me. At 3:40 (an hour later from the appointment) I was still waiting without anyone saying anything to me about the long delay. I noticed there were still about three people ahead of me and I knew it would likely be a long time before I even saw the dr. I had family visiting and was getting very anxious that I wouldn't get home in time. At 3:50 (over an hour from my scheduled appointment) I decided to leave. I told the gentlemen at the counter I was leaving and was very frustrated and his response was "ok". I wasted nearly two hours (including traffic) for this. Completely unacceptable! Not only did I waste time I didn't have, I was not able to order glasses that I so desperately need. I will not patronize this store again. Shameful! read more

Terrible business. I used to go here 2 years ago. Dr. Krav is a great doctor, she is kind and deserves 5 stars. But the business is 1 star at best. You make an appointment only to wait 60-90 minutes. I had another doctor the first time I went, didn't like her I found her rude. Then had to come back two weeks later to get Dr. krav. I liked her. After the check up I waited an additional 30 minutes to order contacts. Which, even when you have insurance is outrageous and up charge you for everything. The next year for my annual eye visit I requested dr. Krav. Waited another hour for the exam. Got another doctor(the same one I had the first time) she was again rude. Waited 45 Minutes to order contacts. Will never go back to these chain places. They over book appointments. Very factory like. I hated visionworks so much I just decided to pull the trigger on lasik. read more

Once we got to see and speak with our representative, we received stellar service. Sheila was amazing at explaining all of our questions. She also made sure we received the best deal we could get with our prescription we walked in with. We did wait a little while, but we did just "walk in" at a very busy time. Sheila was very patient with us as well. My recommendation is to make an appointment, especially if you want to go in the evening. Overall we had a great experience, and highly recommend working with Sheila. She is terrific! read more

Normally I have wonderful service at this location. Today Jacqueline was fantastic and professional, the eye specialist was great and professional. I lost my prescription sunglasses and unfortunately needed to buy a new pair. When I finally got through on their busy phone line, I was able to order them and was hoping to get them before we left for vacation. They arrived to the store 1 day after we left and Kayla was terrific and said she would mail them to Mexico while we were on vacation! When she spoke to the UPS guy who said it would not get there in time, she tried to reach me, finally did, and mailed them directly to my home. She was terrific, tried to accommodate my needs and while ultimately could not, she was so nice and did her best due to circumstances beyond her control! I highly recommend this store! read more

My whole family recently went to this visionworks location for eye exams with Dr. Krav and Dr. Han. We were all very pleased with their care and expertise! I would recommend getting the picture of your eye instead of dilation; it leaves you with the ability to compare your eyes year after year. After our eye exams, we all had to get new glasses. Shelia, Jessy, and Chris all helped us out with picking the perfect pair of glasses! We were all thankful for all of their input! Shelia dedicated a tremendous amount of time into explaining all the different types of lens options to us so that we all got the best fit. We are so thankful for all of the time and effort the staff put in to making sure all four of us left with the perfect pair of glasses!! read more

I'd give 0 if you could. Came in November of 2021, ordered glasses and contacts. I paid for a regular exam for glasses and another exam for contacts. It took several weeks for the contacts to come in. The Dr was not in when I had to go back to try the contacts on so I set up an appointment which I physically saw the contact boxes. They never called to reschedule an appointment which I did, however we had a snow storm on the day I had the appointment for so they called to cancel but never called to reschedule. So now it's April 2022 and I walk in to schedule an appointment for sat the 16th. They check me in and after waiting about 40 minutes I check with the desk and they took another 20 min trying to find my contacts and the magically disappeared and they have the nerve to NOT refund me the contact exam that they messed up.. very bad customer service and not willing to help. I will go elsewhere for my families glasses. Unprofessional and just didn't care! Horrible horrible horrible experience. Save yourself the travel time and gas go somewhere else where they don't lose your stuff as if my gas and time is not important! read more

I will never go to this place again. I have been a loyal customer for years, but their service, attitude, and lenses have made me regret going back to them. Last year, I had same problem, I had this year. Who ever makes the lenses are doing something wrong. Last year they corrected lenses and I was able to see better. This year it took me 3 visits back to correct the lenses. A waste of time, patience, and worst of all the staff is always chating it up. So while you wait to see doctor, they are chatty. Then when you call over phone, they hang up too fast. When your lenses are "fixed" they don't even call you. I don't even think they bother to fix the lenses the first time I told them something was wrong. The worst part is staff says, wear them, and let your eyes get use to them. If I tell you, they are not clear, then why make me drive with them and settle for lenses that make me want to squint. Their frames are nice, and that is why I went back to them.
