Not a friendly place! From the moment I walked in. There's two packages fives in one and when asked was told I was in the wrong place! Here I had to go tours the right for my eye appointment. I just didn't understand why the gentleman just didn't tell me that I needed to go tours the right to have my eyes examined! The woman who helped me pick out my glasses was the friendliest. these people are so rude and on top of incompetent. they said an elderly person home with new glasses that had the number lasered right on the lenses and tried to say this is standard and is in all glasses . I have wear glasses and go to America's best and have NEVER seen this and when you point it out they try to gaslight you . I'm not sure of the name the elderly receptionist but my goodness soooooo condescending . shame on you people who take advantage of elderly or anyone . read more

While I have had great service from the eye doctor at the DeLand Visionworks, I will never purchase another pair of glasses at this store again. I had chosen a frame and gotten a quote last week for a new pair of glasses but when I tried to purchase the order with my debit card, the clerk kept telling me that she could not get the purchase to go through. She processed my debit card twice and still said she could not get their system to run the payment. My husband checked our bank account and the $374 request for payment had gone through twice clearing out my account. When I asked the clerk to fix it, she said she couldn't because their system did not show that the payment had gone through. The account staff told me it was not their problem and I would have to wait until the two charges fell off my account for non-activity. That takes at least five days. I cancelled my order for glasses and am still waiting for my bank account to get back the double billing this store did to my account. I have been out $749 for the last three days. For someone who doesn't have other resources this could be devastating. I will never go there again read more

I stepped on my brand new Vera Bradley framed glasses. One lense popped out and one side of the frame looked totally hopeless. I took them back to Visionworks expecting to have them sent to get fixed. Instead, a wonderful technician named Lindsey had my glasses fixed in 15 minutes. At no charge. Thank you so much!!!!!!! This place doesn't care about their customer's glasses nor do they train their staff well enough to know to take out the lenses before adjusting them! They ruined my anti-glare and now there is a large blurry spot on my lens. Now they tell me there is nothing they can do about fixing the problem that they created! Goes without saying I would not recommend this place to anybody unless they like blurry spots on their lenses. read more

I had recently moved to Deland and decided to try vision works as it was close to my home. They had a special for buy one get one pair of glasses free. Within 3 months of having my glasses one of the temples fell off. I don't use them for sports or anything crazy, just take them off for sleep and showers, no extra wear on them other than taking them on and off. I went in and asked if they could fix them but they said I would have to buy a new pair of frames. No way I would buy frames from them again. The temple on the other pair of glasses is already becoming loose and I have been wearing them for 2 weeks. I highly recommend not shopping here the frames are super cheap. read more

05/10/2019 Called Vision Works Deland FL location this morning because my glasses (purchased here) are starting to irritate my scalp. The person answering the phone was less than helpful and said she had never heard of this before? I asked how long have you done this? Her response: "Over 40 years". Wow Well, one solution suggested on line is to coat the temples of the glasses with nail polish. There are many, many reports on line of people having allergic reactions to certain materials used in the temples of the glasses. Previously I had found this location to be helpful. 05/17/2019 UPDATE: Wow and unbelievable. After a week of phone calls and email I received a call from Valerie telling me they are replacing my frames which was good news, however, it should be noted that my original call was just for a solution to my issue and not looking for anything for free. I spoke to Valerie this morning to come in and get my frames replaced, she was cold over the phone. When I went in Valerie was stand offish and rude. She did not offer to fit my new frames and to TOP it Off She made a snide remark about my original google review. Corporate if you read this please get Valerie some additional training in customer care you are likely losing business with her current demeanor. read more
