Melinda G.

Great customer service. Very efficient and thorough. I'm always able to get right in and the Doctors there always listen and have great recommendations. My questions and concerns are always addressed. I get my eye exams here for contacts and glasses. Can order my glasses and contacts here as well. Friendly and professional.

Glasses unusable after 3 months of wear due to nose guard not working.

Dr. Yost is worth following. I was seeing him at the former partner location in Tigard (as…read moreBeaverton is a bit farther for me,) but I was SO happy to learn that he was staying with the practice so I am glad to go to Beaverton. He is very thoughtful and thorough in his examinations. He doesn't skip anything, he makes sure the patient is comfortable and that you truly understand everything he's telling you. I did splurge on new glasses since I got just "computer" glasses for work and my progressive lenses weren't working for my job as I stare directly AT a computer screen for 8 hours everyday. Truthfully though, the service here is better than a chain. You get doctors who CARE and know what they're doing. HIGHLY recommend it. Also - what other vision place do you know that has a piano?

Another reviewer posted an update in November to their reviewer which I could not agree more with…read more My last two visits sealed it and I switched places. The customer service is now shockingly poor. Just getting the initial appointment seemed ridiculous while the person scheduling me seemed to be rolling her eyes when I had the nerve to be questioning what their latest and earliest appointments are. They are close to my house but I work close to Hillsboro which can be tricky to get to or from sometimes. Saturday appointments are not available and even regular appointments are booked out for weeks - perhaps they are so busy that they just don't care? I genuinely do not drive around during the day. I also was not aware they have half of Beaverton under construction so I was running late by about 10 minutes. The entire lobby was full of people and the person at the front had a conversation with the eye person who I think my appointment was with.... the eye person glared weirdly at me. Was it my cane? I was super confused and trying to get to the counter around all the people storming their counter. The person at the counter had wandered away, then over five minutes later they come back finally to say I was now over 15 minutes past my appointment so he would have to reschedule me? I get it if I actually was THAT late and seriously, making the appointment the first time with a person talking down to me was already challenging weeks before but this just seemed like they overbooked and were finding an excuse to just get rid of me. Thanks, got the memo. Oh, look...here's another place my insurance recommends down the road with available appointments today. Bye...

Dear Spectacle Eye Care Management,…read more I am writing to formally express my disappointment regarding the experience I had at your office this morning. I was aware of the policy stating that patients who arrive 10 minutes late may need to reschedule. I made every effort to arrive on time for my appointment. When I walked into the facility at approximately 9:10 a.m., I was greeted by the front desk receptionist, who immediately stated, "We tried calling you." I explained that I had just parked my car and had walked into the facility at 9:10 a.m. The receptionist then looked at her computer and stated that it was 9:11 a.m. and that I would need to reschedule. I checked the time on my phone, which showed 9:10 a.m. I immediately questioned why I would need to reschedule when I had arrived at the office at the scheduled time and was only being told otherwise because of a one-minute difference between the office computer and my phone. I understand that policies are necessary, but I believe there should also be reasonable judgment and consideration for circumstances such as a one-minute discrepancy. I was there for an eye examination that I had scheduled, and both my insurance and I were prepared to pay for the services. Being turned away under these circumstances felt unnecessarily harsh and disrespectful. What was especially upsetting was the manner in which the situation was handled by the front desk receptionist. The interaction left me feeling unwelcome and disregarded as a customer and patient. I have previously visited Spectacle Eye Care because I genuinely like your products and services, which makes this experience even more disappointing. At this point, I do not feel comfortable returning to that location. I also intend to share my experience with others, including clients within my professional network, because customer service and the way patients are treated matter. I will also be reconsidering whether I can continue recommending Spectacle Eye Care to others. I am asking management to please review what occurred this morning, including the office timekeeping and the way this situation was handled by the receptionist. I believe customers deserve to be treated with professionalism, courtesy, and reasonable consideration, particularly when the difference in arrival time is only one minute. I will continue to advocate for myself and my son and expect the same level of respect and professionalism when we seek healthcare services. I look forward to hearing from management regarding this incident.

I needed an updated contact lens eye exam and prescription since it had been two years since my…read morelast one at a different vision center. I have been wearing contact lenses for 27+ years, and already felt very comfortable with my faithful Acuvue Oasys for Astigmatism. It wasn't until my first appointment that I realized, to my (and the doctor's) horror, that my lenses weren't monthly disposables but two-week ones! The first doctor was very kind about it, and recommended another brand of monthly disposables, Biofinity to me. Unfortunately, the fit was immediately uncomfortable and I was not seeing clearly from one eye, so I had to come in for a followup. The second time, I met with a different doctor who gave me a different lens for the problematic eye. The second lens didn't work for me either, so I reverted to wearing my glasses for two weeks until I got in for another appointment. I was starting to get a little frustrated at the number of follow-ups I needed for a simple lens Rx, but held out.The third follow up appt was with Dr. Hill, who I felt was the best fit for me out of everyone I had interfaced with. She is not only extremely competent and thorough, but she took her time with me well beyond what I expected. I had my kindergartener with me that day as it was right after school and I expected to be in and out within 15 minutes, but she fine tuned my prescription noting that I had an issue with the lenses not rotating properly to where they needed to settle, and spent an hour trying different things and testing until we got it right and I was comfortable. She had me trial four different lenses and luckily, one of them (lo and behold, it was my tried and true, Acuvue Oasys for Astigmatism) worked out. I appreciated so much Dr. Hill's patience, calm demeanor and thoroughness - that third time was a charm! I highly recommend her if anyone is looking for a new eye doctor.

Initially J went for vision treatment after a TBi and the treatment I received was outstanding! So, I decided to go back there a few years later when I needed new prescription for glasses, even though it's a bit of a distance. No regrets! I feel like every person in the office, not just Dr Detmer -Stone, who is fabulous, took great care of me and were highly professional! Now, I went to pick up my new glasses. I asked the technician if she would clean my old glasses because they had so much dirt and grime on them. I don't think she was thrilled with the idea and asked if I meant to take the lens out and I said "yes". She did it and cleaned them so nicely. Now that's service!! Thank you team at A New Vision Center!!
