Entertaining for his very young staff, but unpleasant for clients. Most of my exam was done by a technician. Dr. Rhea spent a brief time with me suggesting a new prescription for my astigmatism. I agreed. His eyeware selection was limited, so I went elsewhere, knowing I would not want to return here. Unfortunately Dr. Rhea's new prescription made my vision worse. I called the office and explained the situation. I returned and was examined by a technician for about 5 minutes. She handed me a new prescription that Dr. Rhea had given her. I asked if he was available to see me, and was told he was in the office. I had been dismissed. I assumed Dr. Rhea would have wanted to see me, and re exam my eyes. Crickets!. The staff was rude and distant. Dr. Rhea's behavior was unprofessional uncaring and immature. I believe now the "reviews" are Not verified. I received assistance from multiple young ladies who did their best to see if my insurance would cover my eye exam. (I wasn't sure since I just got the plan) They made sure to check as many avenues for me which was greatly appreciated. The Dr. himself was amazing, I've had vision problems since I was about 5 and he was the first person to explain in detail my condition, some concerns he saw and how to help myself. He was always the first to ever explain to me the pros and cons of me getting lasik. Overall my experience was great.

I got an email on 08/07 saying the glasses were shipped to give it 3 to 4 business days. 2 weeks later I don't hear anything. I call the store to ask about the status of the glasses and was told they weren't sure why the glasses hadn't made it to the store yet. I was told that they could call another store to get his frames and that he would expedite them to the store and get them ready for him. Thursday I still haven't heard anything, I called the store for an update and I'm on hold for almost 20 minutes waiting for an answer, a lady gets on the phone and says, and he expedited them but it's not a guarantee and that it could take up to another 2 weeks and told me his lenses came in incorrect. This was never told me when I called on Monday, I was told they weren't sure what the holdup was. I had no communication on anything; I kept having to call to get any answers and was told 2 different things. The gentlemen did ask if he could make it up to me with a free upgrade, but I just want the glasses I paid for and better communication. If I had not called and advocated for my son and his glasses no one from that store would have communicated anything to me. The doctors there are great but there needs to be training on communication with the customers when it comes to issues like this.

I was kinda freaked out and definitely wasn't sure if I should get computer glasses until I was ready for the evaluation or wait until I was evaluated, in the event I didn't need glasses at all. She talked me off the ledge (lol) and helped me determine I should see how long it would take to get the next dr appt before moving forward. She entered all my info so it would be in their system, no matter what path I took. I ended up not being able to get evaluated for a month, so I returned a few days later, and once more she was super helpful with my order and getting me squared away in some computer glasses to help me through until the next part of my eye care journey. I like the doctor ok but there are many reasons I won't be back…read more Reasons: Ease of obtaining an appointment - 4 (out of 5) Convenience of location - 5 Knowledge and manner of doctor - 4 Knowledge and manner of techs - 3 Ambience and comfort of office - 2 Making client aware of pertinent info - 1 I made my appointment online and dutifully filled out the many pages of forms, including stating exactly what I was coming in for - "diabetic eye exam, contact lens rx and glasses rx." When I finished the preliminary parts of the exam and went to the main exam room, shortly after getting started he told me he couldn't do all parts of the exam today. I was extremely unhappy about that. We had to take off work for the appointment and he should have read the forms and notified me beforehand that I could not get what I needed in one visit. Not reading the paperwork is lazy and sloppy. Furthermore, on the section of the exam where they blow the air in your eye, the tech did it multiple times and it wouldn't work. I finally asked if my having contacts was the problems and she said yes, she didn't know I was wearing them. Again, that was in the paperwork and I would venture a large number of clients who come in wear them. Other reasons to avoid - the waiting area is small and you are practically on someone else's lap while waiting so you are certain to be exposed to it if someone is ill. The 2 preliminary exam rooms are even smaller - one is really nothing more than a claustrophobic, tight-fitting closet. Lastly, in spite of it being an eye doctor's office, they are not well set up for contact lens removal and re-insertion. That someone would need to remove their contacts seems to be an afterthought - which, I feel, is lazy and sloppy - again. There is more but that's enough.

The problem I have is he didn't warn me of a $109 charge for the contact exam due to the BRAND OF LENSES I have. This honestly makes no sense to me still. What if I had chosen a different brand off the list my insurance covers? Then the exam is only $15? I understand it is my responsibility to know these things. The issue I have is I feel the right thing to do is let me know, "By the way this is going to cost $109 because you went with another brand." I would have happily tried something else. When I asked for an explanation the nice guy was gone and he was very dismissive after they had my money. I would recommend to anyone reading this to check everything with your insurance before you pay.

I've moved a considerable mileage away and still remain at this office and take days off work to make the trip down because I'm convinced I will not find better eye care than I have here. Dr. Correa is an Ophthalmologist, meaning he not only covers optometry but the overall medical health of your eyes and IT MAKES ALL THE DIFFERENCE. I can't say enough great things about this practice. From start to finish, they've got it figured out!

I've been coming here for years and she always gives me our prescription for contacts and glasses that I can use anywhere I want to. She doesn't fax it like the other review claims. There's no fax machine in the office. She has social distancing, mask enforced and temperature taken before you walk in.
