The staff was confused and told us conflicting prices--which were incredibly more than what they told us over the phone. We wasted hours at the store. I only gave one star because I had too, in order to write a review. I did 3/THREE eye exams and they still could not get my prescription right. I am writing to let you know that even though they DO NOT know how to do Proper do eye exam's; They will still charge you for it. Our child started saying she couldn't see the board at school and unfortunately, we didn't have her on our vision insurance because she's never had any issues so I decided to bring her here for her first eye exam mainly due to the commercial with the 2 pairs of glasses WITH an eye exam for $79. I set up an appointment over the phone the week prior. The man on the other end of the phone was pleasant and got us set up quickly. Upon entering, we were warmly greeted. The lady who greeted us was already working with someone and had to stop to then help us get the iPad with the medical history and whatnot set up. It appeared there were only 2 people working. All the initial tests (the puff of air one and a few others that measure your eye) were all preformed by the same lady that greeted us, Michelle. She was very friendly and patient with a kid who has never experienced those tests before. We were informed that there is no eye doctor on site, which was a shocking statement to say the least, considering we were at the "eye doctor." I wasn't sure I was comfortable with this set up but texted my husband that maybe we do this here this time and get her on our insurance for next year. The virtual eye exam was... interesting. The eye doctor was on a screen (think similar to a Zoom call). She controlled the machine that tests your vision. Unfortunately, she had a strong accent and both my child and I had a VERY hard time understanding her. She's say something and it took a few moments to process what she said. I still have mixed feelings about not having an actual doctor on site doing the exam. (I asked if any other offices did have a doctor on site and a couple do, just not this one.) Nonetheless, our daughter had a lot of fun trying on all the frames. They do have a VERY large selection. The deal going on now was 2 pairs of glasses and eye exam for $79. All the other glasses are BOGO. So my daughter found one she liked for like $119 and another that was on the 2/$79 rack. Michelle informed us that kids get the polycarbonate lenses for free and we'd just need to pay like $45 extra for some anti glare coating on the 2nd pair. But when it came time to checkout, the total was like $300-something. I was SHOCKED. Well... if you buy any of the frames other than the 2/$79, you have to pay a $100 fee to have the lenses put in. WOW! But, if you get the 2/$79, you do NOT have this additional fee... so I had my daughter go pick out another 2/$79 frame instead. (I wasn't expecting a $300-something bill.) Luckily she LOVES both her (cheap-o) frames. Both pairs were ready to be picked up within about 30 min! That was quick! We liked the hard cases and the lenses cloths that came with them. Lastly, I'm not 100% sure of the quality. While looking at them once we got home, there are areas around where the lenses meets the frame that look cheap. Hoping they hold up. I opted to not get the additional insurance for $50, considering they were only $80 to begin with. Well... can't beat the price. Even if she breaks one pair, we have a backup... and at least they weren't $400-600 pairs. Like I said, this worked for us this year and isn't a bad deal if you don't have vision insurance BUT I don't think we will return. We like to have an actual doctor looking at our eyes and answering questions we have. read more

The eye exam is done via Telehealth which was odd. The employees were accommodating and courteous, but they just didn't have enough of them. I don't blame them, I blame whoever runs the store. This is my first time since I've been wearing glasses (decades) It's ever taken an hour and 15 minutes at the eye doctor. read more

If I could give this location no stars I would. I have taken several frames to the Pearland location to have my prescriptions put into my frames. They took forever to complete the job, then I called one day to see if they were ready and I was told that they were and that I could come pick them up. I drove about half an hour to get there only to find out that they were closed. When I was finally able to pick them up, one of the lenses in the frames started rotated when I was cleaning them which is a problem as I have progressive lenses. I was told by the African American woman that works there that it wasn't their fault, that it was a problem with my frames. They didn't even bother to remedy the situation, offered no suggestions and just looked at me with a blank stare. If you can, please avoid this location at all costs, staff is completely clueless, simply there to collect a paycheck and stare at their phones all day. They suck and management must be awful as well. STAY AWAY! read more

This business is not reliable at all...I never heard of getting a warranty on glasses you paid for and in 3 months the glasses broke, but I'm still liable for a payment to get them fix or replaced; isn't that what a warranty is for? They say the glasses will be ready in 2wks but I had to wait 3&1/2 weeks, my mother waited a whole month, and I'm not the only one is fed with their service...a couple of customers came in complaining about their policies and defective products. I made an appointment here back in March. the time was 10:00. I made it here about 15 mins early. Watched 3 ladies walk in at separate times as I sat in my car. It started to rain so I waited until 1003 to run/walk fast up to the door. Only to find out the door its locked. Mind you I did this THREE times.. Its 10:15 one last try! Now I'm wet so I drove off. Silly me made another appointment at this same location. This time I made it later to give the staff time to be open and running. Needless to say I needed glasses now. The Receptionist/check out employee made me wait a good while before asking to help me. The sale they have its a LIE. Now its time to pick up my glasses. This is my 1st pair of glasses in my life. I had no idea how fast they get dirty. Wasn't offered nor giving any cleaning info about them at all. I said I cant really see in them. She stated I needed to give them and my eyes time to adjust. Its been about a month and I still cant see out of them. 5/17/21 EMILY is the lady name that I seen today. Yes its been almost 2 months and still having an issue here with these glasses. This is a poor excuse for eye wear business. I purchased glasses. The staff is nice, but that's all. They are not knowledgeable about eyeglasses. The quality of the glasses are extremely sub par. I purchased my glasses in late April. In May my nose clip had to be replaced TWICE ‼In less than six months my glasses are completely broken. Meanwhile, I am stuck going back to wearing my old glasses, which are quality, because I have had them for 4 years with no problem, and they are still intact. We were able to switch appointments while on the way very easily. The service was great. The process, from checking the insurance, doing the exam, and picking glasses, was quick and easy. I went in to fix my glasses because they were broken. I waited 5 minutes and then someone came up to me to fix them. It took them 2 minutes to fix it and they gave me a case and a cleaning cloth. I visted this store in April and purchased a pair of glasses had to return to the store for adjustment 3 to 4 times was told they would have to order another arm for my glasses That was done ...while waiting for the arm to arrive ..I visited another eye lab on fuqua and 45 to see if they had the frames to fit my lens , they did not but called and had my frames delivered there and they were put in I couldn't see out my glasses went back to pearland store and to my surprise the lens were put in backwards .. after 2 weeks returned because glasses needed adjusting returned again I was told again my arm was broken ..I said I don't want to order the same frame because I've had to much trouble ..so I picked out another frame and was called that my glasses was in only to get to the pearland store and they weren't the frames I bought .. I'm still in my old glasses ..I was told to come back on Thursday when the manger was in ... I'm so disappointed..I hope this will be resolved soon because my eyes are getting confused wearing these old glasses read more

First let me start with the SCAM of 2 pair of glasses for $59. Only on selected frames and children under 13 are NOT included according to the staff. My eye exam was ok and the eye doctor was actually friendly and professional but when it came to the technicians and the manager verifying my prescription and submitting it was the beginning of the disaster. Only 1 lens was submitted with a prescription so theinitial order so after 4 weeks of waiting it had to be resubmitted for corrections. When they finally returned the prescription was submitted wrong and had to be resubmitted again leading to another 4 week wait. After that order returned the lens popped out during a rain storm so I had to drive from the medical center to have them replaced again. I was offered an upgrade on frames for my trouble but now I have to wait another 3-4 week . When these come back there is NO transition (turns into shades in the sun) applied to the lens. I definitely PAID for transition lenses. But i refuse to go back...I got ROBBED of almost $400 on an advertisement of 2 pair for $59...PLEASE GO TO A REPUTABLE eye institution...Lens Crafter...Vision Works....even American Best gives better service near NRG stadium.... read more

PEARLAND, TEXAS STORE !!!...It shows the state of CA. (not correct.).This staff is liar's all day long for weeks the same ole lies from different staff members. I constantly called concerning my order, I've spoken with several staff members they all tell me they will call and check on my order and call me back, I have yet to receive a phone call back. They lie about whether or not a rush can be put on your order one person tell you it can be done and the other person tell you there's no such thing. I spoke with one staff member on 02/12/2020 and was told the order was 4 days over due and because of the companies mistake the order can be put on rush I was told I would get a call back, but no !! that liar never called me back to give me an arrival date...Well with that being said I did enjoy my Doctor's visit there with the Nigerian Doctor which was very pleasant, good listener and educated me on some thing about my eye disease that no other doctor ever told me..The Staff member who gave me a warm welcoming when I walked in also gave me a nice discount and helped me pick my frame and had the patience of Job.I always believed that all heads is like the tails..What CEO ? MANAGER ? OR SUPERVISOR train their staff to be such corrupt liar's !!! to bamboozle the customers...I'm very disappointed as of this very moment.
