I had cataract surgery and stints put in my eyes. First visit was fantastic no problems! However on…read morethe second visit I laid there while waiting for numbing drops to kick in, the anesthesiologist VICTOR was too busy visiting and flirting with the staff that he must have completely forgot to check my medical chart for allergies. When Dr. Murphy, always very professional, came into do the surgery he asked me to put my knee down and lay still. I mentioned I had sciatica and VICTOR the anesthesiologist said and I quote " I have something to fix that." Next thing I know I have a terrible burning in my hand and I said "What did you just give me?" He said "Fentanyl" I said "OMG" I'm allergic to pain meds. The nurse there also said to him " Shes allergic to pain meds and has terrible reactions to them" Nurse asked about benadryl Dr. Murphy said "I don't want her to fall asleep." So I'm trying to lay still while having terrible itching all over my body during this delicate surgery and being told constantly to lay still. Not one word was said to me afterwards, like I'm so sorry this happened to you. Funny VICTOR never apologized either. But VICTOR should have gone over my chart and knew about my allergies before surgery! He was very incompetent that day! He never asked me if I needed anything for pain, which I did not! And charged me $840 for his screw up! Don't get me wrong, Murphy Watson Burr Eye Center is the best around! Dr. Murphy did an awesome job! When I went back later for exam with Dr. Watson to make sure everything looked ok after surgery, I told him the whole story but I dont believe anything was ever done or said to VICTOR THE ANESTHESIOLOGIST! So make your appointments, it a great place, however ask who the anesthesiologist is and if they've read your chart throughly! Then the cherry on top was a bill for $450 which medicare would have paid for if they had billed correctly. They can take that out of VICTOR THE ANESTHESIOLOGIST pay check! If this happened to you what would you do? I keep calling but I'm just getting the run around!

I got a good checkup, but at the end of my visit they pointed me towards the most expensive glasses. That was my first head's up. When I returned for my glasses a week later, they acted as if they didn't know me and I still had to write a check for the unexpected balance after insurance. Ok, I sucked it up, then I tried on the glasses and the prescription was WAY off. My mistake was leaving there with the glasses expecting my eyes would adjust, and the girl at the front counter acted as if it wasn't her problem. Anyway, I won't be going back, and I'll continue wearing reading glasses 1.25 which I've never had a problem with, old faithfuls, except that I have to change them every six months or so.

I've called twice and sent messages with NO response. I called again today & was told they don't know what happened with my glasses, they still don't have them. Supposedly the office manager is going to track my order down & let me know. The doctor was great and thorough found I have the start of a cataract but the technicians that complete the order for the eye classes need fired. They need experienced people. The technician was training another one but instead of her (the experienced one) doing the order & having the other one (no experience) just watch & take notes. She let the unexperienced one put my information in, measure me for the bi-focal. The entire time she was saying "oh I told you wrong, start over". It took longer than it should have & I still have no glasses. This is the last time I will use this clinic. If I don't have my glasses soon I'm demanding a refund & will take my prescription elsewhere.

My experience with this place was pleasant, until I picked up my glasses. The "optician", I use that term very loosely, handed me the glasses, and told me to have a nice day. No attempt to check the adjustment or have me look at a reading card. To add insult to injury, I lost one of the lenses, so I called to check the price of a replacement lens, and was informed that I would need to pay full price for a pair of lenses. These are progressive lenses, and I was told that it would be $300-$400 to replace them. I have witnessed some ridiculous things in the optical field, but this whole situation is utterly absurd. I only give one star because zero is not an option.
