I had the best experience with the staff here. Dr Haddad came in like the rock star she is, with her transcriptionist (who has keen ears to hear what the doc mutters while measuring and examining so I wouldn't freak out). She told me frankly that I will always need readers with contact lenses. If been flying with wearing them again for years but no doc before has been realistic-each new brand would be better and they weren't. She shifted my expectations by telling me what other optometrists never said as clearly. She taught me about the shape of my eye ball and why it matters. She even saw my floaters! I may have heard most of this before as I've been sight-challenged forever, but she said it all in a way that I remember even two weeks later. She gave me one distance and one close vision lens and it's been incredible how well I can see! My glasses are so thick that I was self conscious in this zoom life we live. Now I can just be me, with my face and no barrier. I'm joyful.

They did the exam and the eye dr. gave a prescription for my reading glasses. I picked them up 1 day before leaving for Wisc. and was there for 2 months. I couldn't read anything as the glasses doubled every letter! Just got back from Wisc. and am setting up an appt. to discuss this problem. I was really upset the optometrist didn't listen to me and I experienced this horrible situation. Hopefully they will resolve this problem after talking to someone. Will post after appt.

As I entered my mid-30s, I realized I should probably be a bit more proactive about my health. So I scheduled a physical with a doctor (not Dr Williams, but in the same building) who laughed when I mentioned that half of my foot had been numb for several weeks. He chuckled and said, "Well, that could be anything. Nerve issues are hard to pin down." The end. My brain was saying, "So let's at least rule out those that could end in amputation!" But instead I just sat there, embarrassed, and left with zero answers. The following year I found Dr Williams. Her physical was very thorough and she actually took time to listen and ask questions. I have NEVER experienced a doctor who seemed to really care about me as a person vs as Patient #5362. Honestly. I eventually sent my husband to her as well and he came home raving about her thoroughness. We knew if she was running late, it was because she had a patient she needed more time with. And since it could've been us, we felt she was worth the wait! A couple years ago Dr Williams transitioned to an new, concierge-type office model. She did this so she could continue to focus on her patients as long as needed vs herding them through the way traditional healthcare is modeled. We didn't join her new practice but only because we moved out of state. 2+ years later, we're still searching for a new "Dr Williams". Sadly, she is one-of-a-kind.
