They will actually tell you they don't have the competent O.D. Doctors who can see a large volume of diabetic patients. I have tried to get a diabetic eye exam for the last two years with them always telling me they have zero open appointments or not enough qualified doctors to see me. The last doctor I saw is Nicole Jensen who is still there yet apparently is no longer readily qualified. Good luck. Bard Optical is going to be sued by a lot of patients.

When we walked in, three employees were sitting around chatting. Not a single person stood up to greet us or offer assistance while we browsed for frames. In past visits here--and at other optical shops--staff have actively helped find styles to match what I need. It is especially frustrating that the store limits weekend hours citing staffing shortages, yet when staff are present, they show no interest in doing the work. Given this sharp decline in customer care, I am seriously questioning whether to return or take my business elsewhere.

This place will test your vision and give you glasses but does not do critical examinations for glaucoma, macular, diabetes, etc. They will charge you for a full exam but they don't dilate or do a full exam. Was able to discuss the pros and cons of paying for new glasses now vs in 6months when my insurance covers them.

After dilation, I was sent out with paperwork I couldn't read and directed to optical to pick out expensive glasses -- only to later see in my online chart that glasses were not recommended. Follow-up communication has been slow, I've spoken to someone on the phone 3 times since my appointment over a week ago and still don't have an explanation of why this happened, or why the doctor sent me to the optical department. Overall, I left feeling rushed, unheard, and not confident in the care or communication. I will be changing providers.
