This is for the Shawnee, OK Harrison Avenue branch: I had a problem going through the drive…read morethrough, no one greeted me and even though I was the only car in drive through at the time, I sat and waited and waited for someone to acknowledge me and/or complete my VERY simple deposit transaction. I had to get a family member to a scheduled surgery at a specific time and because they were taking too long, I needed the money back I had sent in already so I could leave. When I pressed the call button, a girl finally appeared only to immediately tell me they were busy with customers and that it would be a few (more) minutes and then she promptly cut the mic off and walked away before I could even get a word in to ask for her to return my money. When I pressed the call button yet again, the girl reluctantly came back and I finally got to ask for my money back because I didn't have time to wait on them. So, I called the customer corporate line and made a complaint about the situation. It took them over a week to get back to me only for some woman who said she worked at the branch and was there that day and that she had been the one to say hi to me (NO ONE said hi) and that the other girl is the one who had walked off on me. She claimed that they were "slammed" that day and short staffed. This lady doesn't know the meaning of slammed. I was a teller for First United Bank when it was at its old location on Independence Street and we had 7 drive through lanes that during busy times could get up to 3-4 cars deep each (and that was with 4 of us tellers). THAT is what you called "slammed!" Then the Arvest lady who had called to apologize to me about the situation had the nerve to tell me I was wrong about not being greeted and that SHE had greeted me. No. How are you going to call an unhappy customer and tell them they're wrong about what happened? What a joke. I could just hear the attitude in her voice and told her I was done with the unproductive and insulting phone call and said goodbye. Contemplating closing my account not because of their services but because of the lack of class and capability of their staff.

Unfortunately teller errors happen too often, particularly in the drive-through. We have to give detailed instructions and then double-check every transaction before we leave. Poor training and probably low morale are the culprits here. If you have anything beyond just cashing a check or a very simple deposit, I advise you to park and go inside. What a shame.

My mother called about her account, she deposited a check that was made out to me from a prior…read morecompany I worked for and was a left over for my 401K- we just moved here. Anyway, the check was returned (waiting to find out why or if it is true) for $5.70 The bank did not notify my mother who is on Social Security, they just closed her checking account. This wasn't on our part or anything we did. They didn't contact her and when she gets online it is still showing the account as if it is still open. I called to find out if they can reopen due to her money being deposited next week and bills being ACH withdrawn. They said no you can come back in with the mailed SS Check and open a new account! no thanks you're a piece of shit bank and we should of known that when you put a 15 day hold on funds from the previous account she had. When we all know the funds are available within 48-72 hours and actually could of been withdrawn that day and moved over to the new account. So basically GFY- IBC
