Deceptive practices, enrolling me in bank overdraft protection without my knowledge. Telling me that it is an auto opt-in service and by law the customer has to sign-in for that service. When I open my account I signed a document that stated I did not want this service but one of the assistant loan officers, without my permission, paid my check which made my account overdrawn. I paid 2 insufficient fees for the check being returned twice before I received any notice that I was overdrawn. I have a voice mail of the Shawnee branch manager stating she didn't know why their bank returned the check the first time unpaid and then paid it the second time it was submitted for payment. The overdraft protection gives the bank authorization to pay on a insufficient check. That is the reason I never had overdraft protection. If they had just returned my check the second time, like they had done the first time, I would have a zero balance account and I could have paid my check and closed my account at that bank. Banks have been using this illegal practice for years in order to steal money from customers. I'm currently seeking council to sue this bank for their illegal and deceptive practices. Another large bank in Oklahoma just paid out millions of dollar in a class action lawsuit for the same practices. I strongly suggest that people not deal with this bank. If they did it to me, they will do to the next person for sure! read more
