My friend bought the Groupon just to try it out. AND, the scan shown a blockage in one of her heart valves. She took the image to her cardiologist at St. Joseph. Her doctor confirmed the blockage then put her in surgery the next day. She had no symptoms of heart problems yet she was at high risk of a heart attack could have happened at any minute. This scan saved her life. I followed her advise and purchased Groupon for heart and lung scans . When I got there, I did experienced the sales pitch as many of the reviews on this site. $2500+ full body scans for 10 years. It seems to be a lot of money at first but if you do the math, it is $250 per scan per year. That is not a bad deal. My brother just co-pay over $2000 for his cardiac cauterization at St. Joseph. Which is a invasive procedure and dangerous. This scan gives you the same results without the risk. I did purchase the package. I got the heart/lung scans plus a full body scan. My heart scan result is perfect. However, the body scan discovered that I have plagues build up in stomach and pelvic areas. This is a huge warning sign because it can lead to the hardening of the arteries eventually will restrict the blood flows. My primary physician is doing further diagnosis based on this report. By the way, you do get a copy of your scan on disc. Then your detail reports will follow in the next few days in email. Bottom line, this is a proactive prevention of taking charge of your own health. As the medical expenses on the rise every year, $250 per scan is worth the protection. My suggestion to the business: Since most negative reviews were about the sales pitch, may be you can find a better way of presenting the benefits and less of the pressure to sign the dotted line. read more

I'm so thankful to Virtual Imaging. The heart scan my husband had on May 31st literally saved my husband's life. I had been watching a diagonal crease in his ear lobes become more and more prominent. I'm not sure why, but that diagonal crease has a correlation with possible heart disease. I made an appointment for both of us to get a heart scan. The Calcium Score that's reported based on the heart scan results indicates the presence of possible blockages in the arteries. A score of 0 indicates no blockages and a score over 400 indicates the likelihood of at least one "significant" coronary stenosis. My score was 0 My husband's score was 2426! Virtual Imaging advised him to see a Cardiologist ASAP. After other preliminary tests scheduled by his cardiologist, a Heart Catheter was done which confirmed all the blockages identified by Virtual Imaging. He was immediately scheduled for a quadruple by-pass. The heart surgeon told us that without my insistence that my husband get the heart scan that he would more than likely have a fatal heart attack before the end of the year. My review is long overdue, as our visit to Virtual Imaging was some time ago, but I would be remiss if I did not express our gratitude about the service we received and how the results of the scan saved my husband's life. We made an appointment to take advantage of a promotional offer of a free heart scan. While we did not know what to expect ultimately, the staff was extremely helpful in accommodating our many questions about the programs offered. An overview of the services provided was thorough and informative, containing enough material for us to make an informed decision. Once our overview was completed, we decided that the cost of the program, at that time, was not in our immediate budget. So, we declined, but our decision did not impede the opportunity to get a free heart scan. It was a blessing that my husband was able to take advantage of the scan because the results indicated that his calcification level was extremely high. We were advised to see his cardiologist immediately. Good thing we did, because he was immediately scheduled for a quadruple bypass which prevented him from having a possible massive heart attack. Once again, I am grateful we met the staff at Virtual Imaging and had the opportunity to mitigate my husband's cardiovascular condition before something catastrophic occurred. I've read a number of reviews about Virtual Imaging and I don't get it. What they're doing is truly amazing. I unfortunately have a family history of cancer and it scares me to death to think about what could be inside of me. I've looked for 2 decades to find a way to have early detection of cancer and there's nothing. This place is a true lifesaver. They have the ability to detect possible cancer early enough that you can actually beat it. Hearing there ads for so long on WSB Radio was a great endorsement for me, but when they saved my friend's life that sealed it. He's forever indebted. There's a consultation that explains how to read your results and they offer you their long term scanning program, but why would you expect something different? Nothing in life is completely free. Don't go in there or anywhere in life with that illusion, but their scans work! I can't speak for anyone else regarding what their experiences were, but I can tell you to trust in this; they helped him and they're now helping me and my wife to stay on top of our health. Virtual Imaging is a must for anyone and should be a regular part of health maintenance. My wife arranged for us to have heart scans which, for me, uncovered a high calcium score. Went to my Cardiologist who ordered Heart Cath because of the calcium score. I had no signs of any heart condition. No low energy, no pain, no shortness of breath, no family history, no nothing. I am 62, thin, active, eating a heart healthy low carb, low fat diet for years. The Heart Cath revealed a 75% blockage in the LAD artery (Widow Maker), 70% in another, 40% in a third. I bought the Groupon for both my husband and myself for to get heart scans. At such a savings, I knew we would be offered other services as well since the whole point of Groupon is to make it enticing to try a business or service. We arrived 15 minutes early and were received with a warm greeting from the two people at the front desk. Minimal information was to be filled out and soon were got picked up by a very nice Patient Advocate. She showed us the technology they use, how to read the results from the scan and explained what other preventative services they offered. We hadn't considered or even knew this was an option that we could use to stay on top of our health. It was so informative and made complete sense to us so we signed up to get checked every year. It took longer because we kept making conversation! The scan itself was also a smooth experience and only took a few minutes. I've already recommended them to family and friends. After reading some of the reviews I was a little hesitant to get my scan offered through WSB radio. However, I met with a consultant named Steve who put me at ease by showing the scanner. He explained how it works and that I had the opportunity to scan annually just like a mammogram which is used to detect cancer in its earliest stages. It just make sense to take control of your life by getting ahead of heart disease and cancer while it's still treatable. One scan, like one mammogram, will only give you a baseline, so it's important to do it annually to catch disease before it spreads. My scanning program costed less than $500 per year for the greatest piece of mind I can give myself. Plus they have a program to detect colon cancer that is much less invasive than a colonoscopy! Excellent service! This is great way to check the health of your heart and lungs at little or no cost. Don't let the negative reviews deter you. The staff on the phone, at the reception, and throughout the entire office was friendly, helpful, and courteous. Jim or other staff will take a few minutes to explain the scan to you and provide you with the details to help you understand the organs being scanned and what to look for on the report that you will receive. He also explains the maintenance program they offer for regular full body scans. If you can afford them, the regular full body scans are probably a good deal. If you are not interested in the maintenance program after it is explained just let the person know. You will be in and out in about an hour. read more

I had the very good fortune of being referred to by my sister to your facility Virtual Imaging for a body scan. The results answered my question of why was I so tired at the end of a workday. The results told me the coronary artery calcium score was 1641 and I did take the advice given me to have a stress test and an EKG as soon as possible. The results warranted a heart catheter test which did show the buildup of plaque as revealed in the scan. This of course was good news and the heart physician set me up on exercise and medicine he believes will reduce the plaque buildup. I would have never imagined the extent of my problem nor gone to see a Cardiologist had they not discovered my condition. read more

I heard about this service from my sister who used a Groupon - but I was able to be scanned for no charge because of a promotion on the radio. I did not experience what the other two commenters had reported. They did want my significant other present - which was fine with us. The procedure was fairly straight-forward... and the staff friendly and helpful. My results were surprising, as I was expecting the report to show some blockages or abnormalities - but none were present. Had there been any, the scan would provide some information that a cardiologist would use to recommend treatment. I was well pleased with my visit today for a full body scan. The assistant did explain the optional package deals, but I was already planning the full body scan. I am confident today's scan will show any cancer hidden. My private physicians have failed to order any scans, MRI 's or xrays. I'm worried that a hidden cancer would not show up on any of the routine tests that my physicians have ordered. They have failed to diagnose my problem in spite of many blood tests, echocardiogram, pelvic biopsies, etc. My EGD showed nothing. A colonoscopy a year ago showed nothing, but something's wrong. However, after I got home, I had some reservations and someone advised me he thought this was a scam. I contacted them and they were very professional and accommodating! People who complain about this group on our ones who just simply aren't listening and find it hard to say no. I spent time with Lynn one of the representatives and he was very nice and had a lot of good information for me. he was never pushy answered every question I had and made me feel like I was important whether I bought the contract or not I highly recommend getting this valuable service. My husband and I visited back a few months ago and met with a guy named Steve. Thought we were coming in for a free heart scan. Did not realize there were other scanning options. Steve discussed a 12 year plan that my husband and I could share. It was the best decision we could have made. My husbands score was high and they found out that his prostate was enlarged. He is now being treated for that. We had no idea. In response to Scott's reply. I purchased the groupon and went to the office to have the scan. I was high pressured into purchasing additional scans. I was told this was a 10 year study. I question the validity of this since there had been no follow up for the yearly scans. Appears to be a scam to me. I'd like to know how I can verify this is truly a sponsored study. Legitimate studies are stringent about timely tests/reviews to base the results and publish the findings. Although I see the benefits with the advanced technology, the whole surprise sales pitch that they spring on you gives the overall process a negative connotation. I felt like I was being offered a 'now or never' deal for a gym membership. If this is such a great thing, then why can't they get enough business from doctors' referrals instead of using Groupon and radio promotions? I regret to say that I caved in to the 10 yr agreement at the encouragement of my wife, but if they offered me my money back, I wouldn't hesitate to take it. Lesson learned. read more

Virtual Imagining saved my husbands life. We went in for the free heart scan. The explanation of their services (yeah, some call it a soft sales pitch) made sense to do full body scans. We bought the program. For my husband, the body scan found a cancer in his kidney! Stage 1. We would not have found this until it had advanced to stage 3+ and have had a less positive outcome for survival. I highly recommend this service.
