I was scared and sick. When they came to my house,my pup was barking with all the visitors. They didn't blink and he is a big guy. By the time they got me in the ambulance, they had calmed Wilson too. The thing is, they didn't just transport me and dump me off t the hospital. They stayed with me till the Emergency Nurse came to take over. This helped. It's hard to be alone when you are not well.. I appreciated their care and kindness. Then the RN, I think Tiara? Began her professional attentive care calmed me. When you can't breath it creates fear and she was quick to give me care. Jade was already waiting to do a chest x-ray and was as kind as could be. They don't want you to drink anything, when you first arrive till they determine your care. But when you are struggling to breathe you become very uncomfortably dry. My Nurse gave me a sponge wipe for my lips. It sounds small but it so was not. Dr. Sing was terrific and efficient. Answered my questions and admitted me to the hospital. I was eligible for hospital at home because I am a senior . An excellent choice. I had been in this program before. I have asthma that can get out of control and they have been able to stabilize me before. The care you can get at home without being in the hospital is a big plus. A virtual doctor visit every day and 2 RN visits give you the support that you need without the trauma of being hospitalized. The Doctors were fantastic. I can't remember all their names but I do remember a Dr Leu and Dr Malek. There were 2 others and I am sorry I cant remember their names. The Doctors did not just give me medical directives, they partnered with me and planned with me. Very noble. Thank you. My Nurses, Christine, Michael, Joe, Sarah and Emily, all very thorough and compassionate. Even the couriers who delivered needed medicine, equipment and even food were prompt friendly and professional. I am feeling better and those partners are the reason why. Wilson Cheese made a bunch new friends. It's nice when the folks are caring for you, accept and understand your extended family. Thanks to you all.

Deciding it was about time to start taking advantage of my health insurance, I scoured the interweb…read morefor a doctor. After a horrible experience with a local gyno (where she convinced me that I was depressed -I'm not, it's called PMS- and needed to be on happy pills), I've been a bit skeptical of docs. After reading Julia's review, however, I decided Dr. P sounded like my kinda woman, "someone I would love to have a beer with?" say no more. So I scheduled my appointment on Friday and they were able to put me in on Monday. I showed up at 3:30 (my assigned time), fearing I'd end up spending my entire afternoon there. Within 10 minutes I was seen by a nurse and within another 5 Dr. P showed up. She's just awesome. Totally conversational, quick to put you at ease, thorough... We talked about my medical history, she ran through a few exams, prescribed some medicine for my nagging cough, and sent me off for some blood work. I was out of the office by 4:15! She also referred me to a new gyno and dentist. All in all, Dr. P is terrific, thanks Yelp.

I usually see Dr McCrossen, who has an amazing bedside manner and is exceedingly gentle in all cases. She has a limited schedule for appointments, so sometimes you have to wait a while if you really want to see her. But I have also seen Mary Ann D'Arrigo and Terry Freedman, and both have great bedside manner as well. Even though the nurses on the phone can sometimes sound quite busy, everyone is very efficient and helpful with questions (no matter how panicky one may sound). Absolutely worth your time to be a patient here--I've never been kept waiting for an appointment I've made and everything is very clean. I can't comment on the obstetrician services, as I'm not at that point in my life right now.

Visiting again brought a wave of nostalgia, but I was pleasantly surprised to see it doesn't feel outdated at all. The equipment (at least on the 5th floor, where I visited) looks modern, and the facility is clean and well maintained. Even the hospital grounds are nicely manicured, giving the place a fresh, cared-for feel.

However, today I contacted them because I lost a lab order, and the receptionists were not as welcoming. I came around personally and without a good morning or proper greeting, they just stuck their hand out with the new order. I inquired about a potential appointment to one person, another lady from the side said "you will have to sit down and wait. There are 2 patients a head of you". I'm 150% okay with waiting, but be a little more welcoming. Not sure how was their day going, but I'm sure mine didn't have to get screwed up because of yours. Sorry for bothering you on a busy Monday.
