I sat in the room until 8:35, then got up to ask a staff member how much longer it would be before the doctor would come in only to learn that he was not even there yet. I guess the staff was assuming I would just sit there for however long it took for him to arrive and not tell me a thing. Totally unprofessional in how that was handled. With a referral from my surgeon, I contracted Urology Associates to have it removed. They said I would have to be treated like a brand new regular patient and they could see me in 3 weeks. 3 weeks during which my risk of infection increases exponentially. My surgeon called and they agreed to see me Tuesday. They just called back and said they made a mistake and that I would have to go the new patient route and cancelled my appointment. Worst service ever. Avoid at all costs. Their focus is process over care.

So I made an appointment with them, only to be seen my a Nurse Practitioner during 2 separate appointments....I feel that I wanted to see a Licensed Urologist to go over the issues...but that obviously was too much to ask. Then I was sent for an MRI at Medical Imaging of Fredericksburg, which they did an MRI of my prostate! After the results came back from the MRI, I was told that I needed to have a Biopsy of my prostate by one of the Drs. at this practice. No chance to speak to the Dr. before the scheduled biopsy, guess he was FAR TO BUSY! Then I received a call on a Sunday from Medical Imaging of Fredericksburg asking me to sign a release to have the results of the previous MRI reformatted, that would cost an additional $837.00 that Humana (my insurance provider) would not cover. So with all of this, I have decided not to have the biopsy nor have the MRI results REFORMATTED! I will take my urology issues elsewhere!!

I knew what I experienced on my last visit wasn't intentional and It felt very reassuring that my feelings were acknowledged. Thank you Dr. BERKLE In all honesty, I wanted to return because there's great care there.
