1:10 wait time is unacceptable! Also the way I was treated made it no way I would refer to them!

I greatly valued the opportunity to meet with lactation consultant Thais Issa-Weedon at Virginia…read moreWomen's Center. Since I recently had my first baby, I had so much to learn about breastfeeding. Thais provided specific instructions on positioning and gauging whether or not my baby was eating based on watching for her swallows. She also did some weighted feeds so that I could see how much milk my baby was getting. Thais worked with me to create a feeding schedule, which helped my baby gain the appropriate weight. She was patient and understanding about the joys and challenges of being a first-time mom, and she helped me think realistically about how to meet my breastfeeding goals. As a young mom herself, Thais spoke from knowledge and experience. I met with her two times in person and a third time virtually, and I was appreciative of how graciously she answered my many questions!! What a resource for moms! Thank you, Virginia Women's Center, for including Thais on your staff!

I just got a lovely collections notice in the mail today. These are charges for their nurse and dr asking me if any of the problems in my previous appointment were any better. I answered their questions and they charged me for a "sick visit". I have never had any of their providers do that. On top of that they switched my provider without notifying me. Mine evidently left the practice but a heads up would have been nice so that I could pick who I wanted to see. I finally get to my appointment after she rescheduled me twice with this new person and she is clearly SICK with no mask on. It was a horribly awkward appointment on top of that. I also contracted MRSA from there in 2024 and my daughter also got it when I went for my mammogram in 2025. I should have stopped going after the first issue. I have other issues but will not leave them in my review. I will never be back and will never recommend them to anyone.

Being diagnosed with a BRCA1 gene mutation in my 20s was overwhelming enough -- but going into…read moresurgical menopause at just 30 years old felt like another life-altering blow. I honestly didn't know what to expect or how I'd manage the sudden, intense symptoms. Thankfully, I found Dr. Nathan Guerette. From the very first appointment, Dr. Guerette made me feel heard -- truly heard. He didn't rush me, dismiss my concerns, or treat me like I was just another patient on a schedule. He took the time to explain what was happening with my body, helped me understand the long-term impacts of early menopause, and most importantly, reassured me that I didn't have to suffer through it. What sets Dr. Guerette apart is his incredible bedside manner. There's a calmness and compassion in the way he speaks that immediately puts you at ease. He listened without judgment, validated my experience, and worked with me to find a solution tailored to my needs -- not a one-size-fits-all plan. That solution came in the form of biosynthetic hormone pellet implants, and let me tell you: they have been transformational. Within weeks of receiving the pellets, I noticed a huge reduction in hot flashes, night sweats, brain fog, and the emotional rollercoaster I had been riding. I finally started to feel like myself again -- not just surviving, but living. I'm so grateful to Dr. Guerette for his expertise, empathy, and unwavering support through one of the most challenging transitions of my life. If you're facing something similar -- BRCA1, early menopause, hormone disruption -- don't wait or try to tough it out alone. Go see Dr. Guerette. He listens. He cares. And he knows how to help.

In a distasteful tone, she told me to call back when I get insurance. Even after she stated urology associates of richmond do see uninsured patients.  She claimed they have to verify my insurance before an appointment could be made.  And just when I thought she was about to schedule an appointment, she began to give other reasons (excuses) why she could not schedule an appointment ("We don't do wellness checks.", "You need to see your primary care physician and allow them to do the blood work first." & "Allow them to check your prostate gland.").  I hate to think this was a racial thing; since I do not know this lady (nor does she know me).  But something had to trigger her to act so repugnant. Needless to say, why would I trust this practice to have anything to do with my healthcare.

The doctor was rude and passive, annoyed I couldn't give exact dates when I told him I can barely see the words on my phone but can give him the timeline. His attitude was abrasive and I asked for a female doctor which he snapped there were none just him and to deal with it, then a nurse ripped open the curtain and said "yeah he's the only doctor and he's already entered your room so you've gotta pay him. That's how it works" I will recite this exact review if I get a bill because I am not paying for negative attitude and people who are exasperated by my need for medical attention. I left immediately in tears and told the front desk how horrible the doctor and nurse were.tried to walk home unsuccessfully and people on the street thought I wa drunk and been assaulted from how upset I was on top of having extreme dizziness and nausea like vertigo. Shame because this place has been recommended to me but I'm not paying for their mean attitude and lack of care for wellbeing. The woman at the front desk would make a better nurse and doctor than the 2 I encountered. Horrific experience. This is why I have anxiety about medical care

Worst possible service by this office after my recent knee replacement surgery. Due to a reaction…read moreto anesthesia, I had to be catheterized. With a referral from my surgeon, I contracted Urology Associates to have it removed. They said I would have to be treated like a brand new regular patient and they could see me in 3 weeks. 3 weeks during which my risk of infection increases exponentially. My surgeon called and they agreed to see me Tuesday. They just called back and said they made a mistake and that I would have to go the new patient route and cancelled my appointment. Worst service ever. Avoid at all costs. Their focus is process over care.

So I made an appointment with them, only to be seen my a Nurse Practitioner during 2 separate appointments....I feel that I wanted to see a Licensed Urologist to go over the issues...but that obviously was too much to ask. Then I was sent for an MRI at Medical Imaging of Fredericksburg, which they did an MRI of my prostate! After the results came back from the MRI, I was told that I needed to have a Biopsy of my prostate by one of the Drs. at this practice. No chance to speak to the Dr. before the scheduled biopsy, guess he was FAR TO BUSY! Then I received a call on a Sunday from Medical Imaging of Fredericksburg asking me to sign a release to have the results of the previous MRI reformatted, that would cost an additional $837.00 that Humana (my insurance provider) would not cover. So with all of this, I have decided not to have the biopsy nor have the MRI results REFORMATTED! I will take my urology issues elsewhere!!
