Extremely disappointed in the customer service I experienced at this store. I called ahead to confirm a product was in stock before I made the hour drive to this store. I was told the product would be $30. Upon arrival, I thought I was sold the product I was told was $30 over the phone. When I returned home and opened the product, it was not the product I had called about, or the one I was told I was being sold. The product I was sold was a lesser quality version, and is worth $15. This particular lesser quality product is sold in multiple other stores and costs literally half the price of what it was sold to me for. Not only was I lied to in the store and over the phone, but the product I was sold was DOUBLE the price of what is being charged at every other store I've visited for this product. When I called to attempt to correct the situation and process an exchange for the product I actually wanted to purchase, I was told that absolutely no returns or exchanges are allowed and I should call the manager the next day to see if they could make an exception. I did not call the store back, and simply took the $30 loss. If the regular associates lie to their customers like they did to me, I absolutely do not trust a manager any further. This is disappointing, as the store was massive and seemed promising; but I will NEVER be returning to this store not recommending it to friends. read more

The store was huge which was the only plus. But still didn't have many products had a lot of the same ones in different brands. Everything in this store is expensive. I got a shock therapy kit and I opened the box in the parking lot in my car and it was broken and actually shocked the fuck out of me (not in anyway it's supposed to) when I took the battery out which I was left with a numb arm for the rest of the night. 5 mins later walked back in they told me they couldn't help me sales are final that I would need to go get a new battery (there was a corroded one in it) and that they didn't sell the battery I needed I got 5 things in total one was just a tiny bottle of lube, other was 2 double a batteries- so I really bought 3 toys prices didn't add up right costed me 170$. Toys can be opened, seals open. They do not tell the customer that this is a common practice at this establishment. CHECK THE SEAL ON ANYTHING WRAPPED IN PLASTIC. If it is open you can ask for another that is sealed but if you already buy it you're SOL. They allow customers to feel the products with their hands. I unknowingly purchased an OPENED product and was deeply disturbed and confused. This is something that should be know to the customer before purchase of any product at this establishment. It can be solved by damaging out one of each product and using it as a feeling display. They wouldn't damage out my opened (not by me) unused product for a sealed new fresh untouched item which they have in store. This is my first time purchasing products like this. Beware that this place has been known to card you right when you walk in the door - especially on Thursday/Friday nights to keep "kids" out. The staff here is why I always come here versus any other bricks and mortar store of this kind. They've been around for many years and have always kept a great reputation and an amazing staff on hand. The people they employ are actually really well educated and know a good chunk about the products on the floor and what they don't - they know exactly who to have you speak to. They don't make anything a big deal or try to be flirtatious with you (this was so weird at the shop by the highway near Pilot in Milford - trucker's paradise... *shudders*). These girls handle themselves professionally and really do treat everyone with respect. I'm sure they see an interesting array of people, so I'm sure they get plenty of practice. Their selection of products is really vast - my only suggestion would be to not let prices sway you to a decision - there are many brands in many different price points. Though, often with these kind of things, more money means better quality, longer lasting, and less likely to break. Secondly - ask for help. If you aren't familiar with the brands (there's about 10-20+ featured in each aisle) then don't just try to guess. Some of the brands are Chinese based and don't have any branding on them about BPA requirements, lead requirements, etc. (these are "intimate pleasures" so I imagine you wouldn't like to get poisoned by them.) If you're in need of something, visit here. Unless it's something really, REALLY out of the box, they're likely to carry it and in all the color options and styles offered by the company. And if they don't - ask one of the staff, I'm sure there's a better option or a similar one they can direct you to. read more

VIP has my vote! VIP is a great place to go for the first-time (or any-time) porn store shopper. Long gone are the days of shady corner porn shops once VIP moved into town. Very Intimate Pleasures is the Wal*Mart of adult/novelty stores. It's huge. You could easily kill an hour or more in here if it's your first time going through. They have a superb selection of toys, videos, bondage, lingerie, lubes, gag gifts/fun stuff... (and even some swords and smoking paraphernalia). I'm not sure why some other reviewers are complaining about the price because this is standard. Apparently, they rarely shop for sex-related items. Typically, this store is great. After my experience today, I will NEVER shop here again. I was looking at plastic water pipes, which are typically very cheap. After learning how overpriced ($75) this PLASTIC pipe was, I decided I didn't want it. When I tried to give it back to the sales person, it tilted and the top plastic rim fell off and broke in two. They forced me to buy it, claiming "you break it, you buy it" even though the rim was previously glued and then detached, and was just sitting on top when it should have been glued. The manager was no help, not even allowing a discount after i requested one because "she didn't see it happen". Very irresponsible with their credit card charges! I've bought things twice here. The first time, they double charged me on my credit card. I was able to get that overturned. The second time, the didn't charge me until 10 months after the initial transaction, which made me overdraft my card. Also, I remember only spending about $15 on that transaction but they charged me $32. I have no way to dispute it because, of course, I don't have the receipts from 10 months ago. This store used to be great. They almost NEVER get any new dvds anymore. The same stale titles sit on the shelf month after month after month. The magazine section has been reduced to almost nothing. I told her my doctor recommended it for me and she then proceeded to tell me that he was wrong and that she was in the "medical field" and knew that he was wrong and she was right and that I didn't need it! I'm sorry Ms. but are you a gynecologist/obstetrician who went to medical school and whom has successfully delivered healthy babies for more years than you've been alive! I think not!
