When I first started coming here I really like that it was very clean and a nice atmosphere. I stopped going to them a few years ago because of the same reasons I decided to stop going to them again. I have given them too many chances. Any complaint that I have they have an excuse for it, And never their fault Or willing to fix-it free. My issues.... Previous nail polish up under solar nails where you could see through them. (I was told it was because I painted my nails on the cuticle).Nail tips put on crooked (they told me my finger was crooked). And nails that are filed awkwardly (They seem to get annoyed when you point that out). I have always been a good client and always tip well. But I am tired of getting screwed over by people, especially people that are here to provide a service. read more

Would you like to wait 40 mins and get screwed into spending money? Here's the place to go! So I went here today, I normally go to a different shop in town, and I asked to do an American manicure - coffin style. First of all, the man who I assume is the owner told me that another man doing a pedicure would be doing it because he was very good at that type of nail. No problem. I sat and waited for a good 20 minutes for this man to finish the pedicure and i guess the owner decided he was going to go ahead and do it. He sits down and starts putting on clear tips. I assumed he'd do white, but whatever. I went with it. It took him 10 mins to put on my tips because he kept getting up and seating people and checking pedicures. Fine. Whatever, I'm not in a hurry. Then, he goes to cut them. I tell him I want a longer nail and he proceeds to tell me that it costs an extra $10 to keep my nails longer. Wtf? I ask him why, he replies "all the nail shops charge extra for long nails" (btw I didn't want them absurdly long, I just wanted them a tad longer than he was about to cut them at) I'm like "....umm no, but whatever, that's fine I guess" I had already been waiting so long and just wanted to get it done so I could leave. He then cuts the length back to the original length I told him to go longer at. I'm not confrontational so I just kind of sigh, and go with it longer still. He cuts the tips then gets up again and proceeds to stand around, talk on the phone , do some eyebrows and check more pedicures for another 10 mins. He comes back and tells me to pick out a powder color. I show him the picture AGAIN of an American manicure and say "I just want a plain American manicure. No colors" he says "no but you need to choose two powders ! A light one and a whitish one" I see where he's going and say fine, he keeps trying to direct me to do glitters when I tell him 3 times no glitter, we finally decide on two colors and he leaves to get them from the back. I wait another 10 mins. In which he returns to see the picture 3 times, he even just picked up my phone from the table once and tries to open the lock screen without asking. I'm getting frustrated at this point, so he comes back a 4th time and says "pick two colors" which I've already done -- I pick the same two I already chose and say "I said these" now he says "it will be $10 extra for two colors. " I close my eyes and pause, because it's Good Friday and He didn't need a come to Jesus meeting today. I question him and say "so it's 10$ for long nails? 10$ for 2 colors, which you told me to pick, when you could have just done white tips?" "It's 10$ extra for two powders everywhere in seguin and also for the length" now to be fair, it is common practice to pay extra for powders but NEVER in my life have I had to pay to keep length. That's ridiculous. He argued with me that I'm wrong- and I tell him to take off the tips. Meanwhile my daughter was getting a shellac manicure - it took them 1 hr 48 mins in wait time, (I know because I texted my husband when I got there, and checked the time when we left so I have time stamps.) plus manicure time. RIDICULOUS ! I will never be going here again. I'll stick to the nice lady at DiVi nails where I get as many colors as I want, as long as I want, a good conversation and it's only $30. I had an absolutely awful and painful experience today. I had shellac put on, when the manicure was done I noticed bubbles in several nails and a chip on the side of one I also noticed some nails were darker than others. I brought it to the technicians attention and she became very angry. First she asked why I didn't tell her there were bubbles on my nail before she was done. I replied that she was the licensed professional and should have noticed the nails looked awful. As my nails were soaking she explained she talked to her manager and they could not redo my nails because I was "too difficult" she proceeded to tell me they were going to charge me for a full manicure. I pressed them and explained it wasn't my fault they did an awful job and I was not Going to pay for a manicure when I had not received one. As she took off the polished she made me bleed TWICE. my nails are really scratched and two fingers are red and bleeding. Stay away from this place at all costs. VIP Nails is not the place you want to go. My wife was getting her nails done and the tech filed her nail at an angle when she brought it to his attention he cut her with the cutters. These people don't want to hear you complain. I was getting a Pedi when the guy cut my wive and she complained the Tech doing my feet tried to take all the skin off my foot. They started talking Vietnamese and you could tell they were pissed. The girl sitting next to my wife said they messed her nails up too but was scared to say anything. What a worthless business. Stay away. We will never go back and the girl said she won't go back either. read more

Today I got a pedicure and a full set, both french manicure, at VIP nails. I have had much better results elsewhere. The french manicure on my toes is pitted and smudged - they did not fix it. My heels still feel rough and dry and the "massage" of the legs - forget it! That was no massage - that was rubbing some product on my legs and immediately rinsing it off! The full set of nails for fingers - they were filed very strangely causing my nails to look flat and as if they are pointing towards the sky!!! They also feel like they are pulling my nail beds upwards, and I now have soreness under the nail bed. Will not get my nails done here again! Off out to find a salon that can remove this bad set of nails and put on a new set - correctly! What a waste of $70 at VIP Nails in Seguin!!! read more

This is the worst nail salon I've ever been to. She was rough, made me bleed, it looked sloppy and the polish was so old it bubbled. Then as I was waiting for my nails to dry she and her co-worker sat there and sucked noisily on sunflower seeds and spit the shells into the trash for a good 15 mins. So unprofessional. Wanted a pedicure and full set solar nails. Pedicure ended up looking like total SH** and I am by no means picky, but I can do my own toes MUCH better than these people. He kept tickling my feet during the pedi on purpose, guess it thought it was funny or something. CREEPY! The manager is the one that did my full set solar nails, and while he was doing my nails I told him I was unhappy with my pedicure to which he wanted to fix but I had been there long enough and I didn't want to make a big deal about it. AWKWARD! He proceeded to cut every single finger's cuticle and I bled on almost all of them. My sister and I went here to get a manicure and pedicure. They did alright with the pedicure, but the manicure was RIDICULOUS! They lady talked on her phone most of the time and by the time we left the salon my nails were already starting to chip! I do not recommend anyone going here. We paid $108 just for my nails to chip! I started going to VIP Nails because I was unhappy with the nail salon was previously going to. My first visit which was a fill was done so messy my nails had bumps in them from fill being applied to thick and not filed down. When it was time to get a new set of nails the lady grinded my nail down so much that my nail beds ached. My last time the nail tech messed up on my nail and instead of re-doing the nail he tried to "make it right" which ended up in even more of a disaster. I sat for 30 minutes waiting for my nail polish to dry before I asked if anyone was going to check on me while the owner Frank had his head buried in his I-pad surfing music, I was told "It's up to the customer when they want to leave." This is not the way it was done any other time I was waiting for nail polish to dry, they at least came to check to see if the nail polish was dry. I agreed with Christina they get mad when you try to point out that something is not right and that nothing is ever their fault, in fact they will argue with you. Very irritating! They need to refer back to the sign they have on their refrigerator if the customer is not happy they have no job. Needless to say I will be going back to my old nail salon, this place it not worth it! read more
