I don't have any photos from my last paid pedicure but this nail salon is crappy. The male who did my generic shellac pedicure filed the top coat off the nail edge of my toes after curing it, which is a huge no no. The top coat seals the longevity of the gel polish and the only reason someone would do this is to hasten the timeframe of a future pedicure. Absolutely destroyed my nails in the process of removing a dip set. My nails are so brittle from being soaked in acetone for over 40 minutes and buffed down to the bottom layer. At one point she burned me with the buffer. My nails are splitting past the nail bed. It's so painful I woke up in the middle of the night from my finger nails throbbing from the breakage. BEWARE, the prices on the menus next to each Pedi station are the wrong prices. After my mani/pedi, Mike tried to charge me a different price from the menu prices from the menu they gave to me to pick out my services. Vicki tried to interject & say don't look at the menu prices, the actual prices are on the wall, which Mike was changing as customers were already being serviced, HOW RUDE! This is the worst nail salon I've ever been to! The quality of work is terrible! 3 days in, and several of my nails are cracked and chipped! They overcharge and its not worth it at all!! I couldve done a better job myself - and the owner is the one who did my nails! The owner is also extremely rude and disrespectful. My sister went with me and they did such a poor job on her nails as well, that she went back the next day to get one fixed. The workers are racist, please don't waste your money with them. I had my 18 year old cousin take my 14 year old here, along with her other three cousins, and the nail techs were very rude. First they assumed my daughter was not going to pay, and was making rude comments, and her younger cousin overheard them speculating and singling her out by saying, "the Black one didnt pay"....She was still in the process of getting her nails done, and why would they assume she was not going to pay because shes black. After a bust couple of days at work, I decided to treat myself to a relaxing pedicure. I have been to this location many times and have always had a good experience. I didn't schedule an appointment because it was a last minute decision, but I figured they wouldn't be too busy on a Wednesday au 3PM. I was right, when I walked in there was a woman getting a pedicure and a woman getting her nails done. No other customers were waiting . There was a woman standing behind the counter writing in a book. She looked directly at me and said "yes". I said, "Can I get a pedicure?". She then rolled her eyes at me and went back to writing. I just stood there dumbfounded, not sure what to do, and I said, "is that a no, because I can go somewhere else? She looked up again and every angrily said ,"YES". I just stood there not knowing what to do next. She then looks up at me and yell "GO PICK OUT YOUR COLOR!". That was it for me. Not sure why every review isn't 5 stars... this was my first time at VIP, I got a gel mani and pedi. Everyone was so nice and really sweet. They did my fingers and toes at the same time which was great, saved time! Lots of nail color choices - mood changing polish, cat-eye, ink blot - the list goes on. The massage chair is awesome. I only paid for a basic service gel mani pedi, and they massaged my hands and legs far longer and better than I've had at any other salon. Reasonable prices too. I will be back! read more

It's very hard to get in and out since the drive thru of Culver's will and can block you in or out depending on how you see it. I was hesitant going to this location due to the low ratings and lack of reviews but I was surprised by the kind workers and quality of my acrylic nails. I waited two weeks to post this review in order to speak on their durability and I am happy to stay my nails are still going strong and look great. I have been going to this shop every 2 weeks for the past year. Today's experience was the last straw. I was in the shop waiting for about 30 min. While I was waiting 2 other people came in. When one of the techs, who has done my nails before, was finished, she took someone who came in after me. I got irritated, and was about to walk out the door. That's when she decides to say "you can have a seat." I replied "that's okay. I'll go somewhere else." I've made appointments there, but that is pointless because they don't acknowledge appointments. I tried my first dipped nails the third week of February, and went back 4 weeks later only because of the out growth, Nothing had chipped or broken, every nail was in great shape. This is better than any gel, or acrylic I have ever had. I am now on my 2nd dipped set, and it is at the end of 3 weeks and still in great shape, only because of the outgrowth am I going back tomorrow. I recently went here on a whim because I wanted my shellac removed that day. VIP was the second place I had gone to in order to try and get in quickly. The place was dirty and the man who helped me literally soaked my nails and removed the shellac in the waiting chair. The shellac came off and went onto the floor. We just moved to this side of town so I figured I would give this place a try. I read the reviews but I am always one to give a place a chance. NEVER AGAIN. I walked in and the gentlemen was sitting lounging on his phone. Did not acknowledge that I had walked in and did not great me at all. I needed my eyebrows waxed and a fill. I sat down to get my eyebrows waxed and never have I been to a place that puts the wax on your eyelids. Ouch! Then I sat down to get a fill. The guy did not do the acrylic over the entire nail like most places do and was about to put nail polish on before he even sanded them down. The nail polish would have been bumpy if he would have continued to put it on. I stopped him and told him I would go elsewhere as he seemed to not know what he was doing. I had to pay $25 for the entirety of what they did which was close to nothing. As soon as I walked out one of the nails broke because he had sanded the acrylic down too much and did not reapply. I would not recommend this place even as a last resort sadly. read more

I use to see people inside these types of places at the store and thought: no effin way. lol. i was nervous, but the owner stepped in to assist with time running out and the guy was new who started on my mani-pedi - she ended up redoing BOTH all over again and stayed an hour past closing to make it right. Hung D. I realize people change their minds and add services which would delay the next scheduled appointment. I find that odd to happen EVERY single time I've made an appointment. You are concerned about customer service and not delaying service? I guess that doesn't apply for a long time customer. The right thing to do would be to inform the walk in that this customer has an appointment and you need to get started on her (at the least). Then get to a point where you can finish that other customer's additional service. Just a thought...a way to keep a long time, paying, good tipping customer. I've visited other nail salons who turned me away because they had an appointment coming in and I whole heartedly respect that and if I were the customer who had the appointment would've greatly appreciated it. Your business model is not customer service. It's try to squeeze in as many as possible to hopefully get as much money as possible. The risk...losing long time customers and their long time money. For four years I was a customer of this salon however my latest experience has me looking for a new place. Previous experiences had been pretty positive but I went last fall before a trip to AZ for a mani/pedi. I noticed they appeared to be training a new tech and it turned out I must have been her first customer. I came in with relatively decent length nails that just needed shaping. She didn't understand a word of English and when I tried to show her the length I wanted she didn't understand and cut them all very short.
