The owner was very rude & kept trying up charge me into a pedicure package I did not want. She wouldn't even explain the differences in the packages, just pointing at a piece of paper with the packages listed on it. I tried talking to Ana to ask her questions but the owner would just start talking over me. What really ruined my trip to this business was when they sat me next to this young lady who was getting her nails done. The problem with being sat next to her was they let her mom sit on a small stool BETWEEN us. She wasn't even getting a service done, just sitting there watching. No six feet separation, nothing. I could not find VIP on yelp so I had to add them. They have been here two years in the plaza across from Shop Rite. We were in town visiting and called ahead for pedicures and a gel full set. We set up a time and had to wait just a few minutes when we arrived. The staff is really helpful and will tell you up front how long your wait will be or will tell you to come back. I found a lot of pictures on their Facebook page to see the nail art that they do. The pricing is on par with other salons. $25 for a pedicure and $50 for a full set of gel nails with French tips. They also do waxing and manicure /pedi combinations. This is a great place to come while shopping in this plaza. read more

I had gel polish applied a week ago and it should last 2-3 weeks. I have had them done many times at other salons and they typically last 3 weeks for me. The polish was literally peeling off and I was able to easily peel it off one full nail at a time. Don't waste your time or money. read more

Took the gf in and she got a manicure and i got a pedicure. The work was good but their prices are too high. At check out i was told they dont accept credit cards on Sunday. Luckily we had most of the cash but they wanted me to use their fake looking atm machine in the salon that would have charged 1.50 to use and probably had a card skimmer in it. I refused and went to my bank to get the rest of the cash. Was told it would be a 30 min wait. The man let us check in and leave. We returned after 25 mins and were told it would still be a 30 min wait. Then patiently waited an additional HOUR and 15 mins and asked how much longer it would be. He said another 30 mins at least and then told us that we weren't allowed to leave the first time and that "reset" our wait time. On 10/29 I had a horrible experience at the VIP Nail & Spa. I came in to get a refill wanting a Halloween set. I first showed a picture asking if they could do a Ghostface, and flame designs, and Anthony said he could do it. He then said the picture was boring, and we should spice it up doing different designs on my nails. He never filed my nails to fix them from 2 weeks prior. He left nail polish on my skin, and when i asked if he could get it off he proceeded to shave it off with his tool as well as some of my nail, and skin. As the designs are coming along i look nervous, but he says it's coming along good. $70 nails to look absolutely ridiculous. i asked him to fix several nails. This picture was the better side of my hand because neither looked alike. When i left, i called to get them redone, and Danny said it would be an hour wait. Kim then "fixes" my nails after asking her multiple times to please take them off that i just want black nail polish. She said i wasted their time and that i was not getting a refund. I asked if i could then get sparkles on the tips of the black polish since i paid $70 for designs that looks like a kid drew. Kim says "No i only do one nail for you" that she has other customers and that I'm picky. If i could rate this place a 0 i would. I spent my entire Saturday at the VIP Nail & Spa salon to be overpriced, and talked down to. It is now 4 days later and the paint is peeling off. read more

I called to come in tonight an hour before they closed, asking if it would be too late, or if they could take me for a gel manicure. They said, 'Absolutely, come on in!' I came in, and the woman brought me back immediately and told me to pick a color while she filed my nails. I felt a bit rushed, as she kept asking me to pick one. I just picked one since she was clearly in a rush. Once she finished filing, I felt around on my nails and there were several nails still very jagged and I asked if she could smooth a couple out. Once she did, I felt them again, and noticed a couple of them were different lengths. I had to ask them again, if she would fix them. She did. I've never had anyone rush through my nails like this woman did. I wasn't able to see the nails until they were done trying and she had already put lotion on them, but when I left and took a good look, I noticed they looked AWFUL. Total time? TWENTY MINUTES. That was it. I didn't have time to go back to ask for them to be fixed, and I'm going away tomorrow so I won't be able to come back another day either. She didn't even get close to getting the polish to the edge of my nail bed - so they look like they're already grown out by a week or two. My nails still feel very jagged as if they were sloppily filed. I will not be coming back again, and I'm very disappointed I spent the money to get them done. read more

I went in for a regular pedicure. As I was picking my colors I grabbed a OPI hot pink/red and was perplexed when looking at the name. It claimed to be Big Apple Red which clearly it was not. Did not speak to me when I walked in and stood at the desk then I walk toward them and say excuse me nicely and they still ignore me. A customer had to get their attention for me. Then they tell me to wait for eyebrows only I was waiting 15 minutes and no one ever said sorry for the wait or be right with you. Mind you the nail salon was not crowded at all I was the only one waiting. A white woman then walks in and they greet her right away and seat her immediately. I went there for the first time for a gel pedi refill because I didn't have time to make it to my usual spot and was truly disappointed. My nails were not filled with gel properly or fully painted, and looked 'bubbly' (round at tip of nail). I was in a rush and did not take a good look at them but once I did I was truly horrified at the how bad they were. I called within 2 hrs of leaving and was asked to come back. I have been to this place many times and had the worst gel manicure if you could call it a manicure. I was a walk in so I expected to wait, it was about 20min. They were busy and seemed short staffed. Sat down with the lil lady that sits by the desk, she soaked my fingers seconds only, didn't use cuticle remover and barely shaped my nails. The gel was dried less than 30seconds for the 2 lousy coats that were applied. It was shoddy work, my cuticles looked dried up and ragged when I left and the polish was peeling within a week. I have been using VIP since they opened. Before that, I was traveling to Bridgeton to get my nails done. I did not know that my nails were not supposed to pop off, or split on a regular basis. It was typical for me to carry nail glue and bandages, to put my nails back together. I did not know about gel polish, which lasts way over 2 weeks. From my first manicure at VIP, I was immensely happy with the way my hands looked. I don't know what some of these reviewers are talking about, but my nails are perfectly shaped, cleanly filled and buffed smooth and they are not over-coated with fill mixture. My nails look perfect every time, no matter who does them! Yes, a typical manicure is about $36. You get what you pay for. My polish is buffed off, I am not subjected to fumes from remover. My nails are always cleaned behind, and are white when finished. There are never bubbles in the polish. My skin is always cleaned off after polish. Finally, I get countless compliments on my nails. If you don't like your nails, SPEAK UP!! They will fix it for you. If you don't want to use their ATM, stop at the bank before you arrive. OR, charge your service on a credit card and give the tip as cash. As far as Danny goes, he's a joker. If you don't laugh at him, he will stop. I just give it right back to him! If you resent the techs because they speak in their native tongue, you shouldn't. Only a few of them are really English-literate. Trust me, they are NOT talking about us. One of the worst salons i've been to, and do NOT recommend to anyone. Immediately after walking in the door I was serviced, which is an upside, but as soon as I got in the door they rushed me to select a color for my service, only allowing me legitimately 1 minute to choose. Personally I don't think that I needed to pick my color right away since I should've had 10-15 minutes before paint was required... The women rushed through my service, as a cosmetologist myself I know what to look for, and I also understand they are trained to work quick and efficiently, I should not have been robbed from enjoying my service, the women that was rushing me told me to put my feet in, didn't even give me a moment to lift my leggings to not get wet the water was scolding as well as the hot towel they use, they were careless with the service and I was left with a pedicure that looked worse then what I walked in with, nail polish on the edges of my skin, Another issue I had was they seem like they are trying to scam people, there is no specific posting about their GEL PEDICURES, all I saw was $25 for pedicure. I questioned it before the women put gel on my feet since she stated it was $50, the man next to her doing someones pedicure hopped in the conversation saying Gels more and argued me on this, I can understand that gel runs more but have it posted instead of misleading price boards. Also found it disgusting that they reused their foam disposable sandals. OSHA should stop in there and check it out, they'd have a field day. I will never go to VIP Nails in Millville again. My husband purchased a gift certificate last Christmas for $80. It was purchased on 12/23/17. I asked for a gift certificate for Christmas so I could get my nails done for my sons upcoming wedding on January 6th. I used $45 on January 5th 2018 and The man who did my nails Danny gave me a new gift certificate for the remaining $35. I didn't notice until a few days later because of the hecticness of the wedding and a bad snow storm had came on this day that in the expiration date he wrote that the certificate expired on 1/5/18 BUT he wrote over top the 8 and made it into a 9. I finally got around to using the remainder of the gift card this morning for my 25th class reunion that is tonight. Danny once again did my nails. As I was done I handed him the gift certificate and he refused to take it and accused me of changing the date in the gift card. He said he didn't write over top the 8. I asked him how would he remember because it was almost a year ago that he wrote this gift certificate out. Danny then walked away and another man came over and refused to take the gift certificate. I tried to explain to him the situation and he didnt want to honor the certificate. I asked him where his log book is and if he could look up the certificate and see when I used it because there is a number on it. He said they don't keep track of them. I was totally humiliated because the salon was full of customers. Finally after 5 minutes of this man telling me my certificate was expired he did let me use it towards my nails. I had a $10 bill in my hand for Danny and they refused to take my tip. I walked over to Danny's table and left the tip Oln his table all while the other man was blurting over that they don't want my tip. I'm not a dishonest person. I wouldn't be so dumb to change the date on the gift certificate. It was blantantly obvious that someone had wrote over top of the 8. I wish I would have seen it that day and made him correct it before leaving the salon. I also found that it is illegal to refuse a gift certificate.
