The eye color doesn't translate the best in this photo but it was beautiful with a touch of shimmer. Just the right amount of drama for me. What does translate in this photo is how flipping good my skin looks and how my eyes pop. This is just me in my kitchen with my iPhone before I went out to dinner. Luckily my hair hasn't skipped a beat. She's super bubbly and great at what she does. The girl doing my hair barely talked to me, didn't ask me anything about how I wear my hair or past treatments (something that I expect from someone who's never worked on my hair before). I showed her a few photos and she just started working. I sat for an hour with the dye in my hair listening to the inane conversations of the women who work there. I should have been a little concerned when she washed everything out and started cutting and wouldn't spin me in front of the mirror to watch. For one, she didn't at all listen what I said about my cut - that I wanted it layered and choppy and not just cut straight across. But straight across she did. The bottom color of the balayage is nice, however she apparently felt the need to put two completely random super bright highlights that went the entire length of my hair on either side of my face. My sister literally said I looked exactly like Rogue from X Men - definitely not the look I was going for. I have no idea what made her think I would want that and it would be okay to do it without asking me. She was nice and offered to fix it at another time if I really didn't like it, but it honestly looked so terrible I ended up fixing it myself that same night because I couldn't be seen in public like that.

About 15 years ago two of Tommy's sons moved to California and became celebrity stylists: Rocco and Jeff Serra. Most recently they were featured on the reality television show Split Ends.
