I'm new in town (Lindale, TX) and needed to find a nail salon that I could count on to do a great job. After reading reviews I went to VIP and am really pleased. Tracy does my manis and converted me back to Solar nails. I was skeptical at first because they seemed a lot like old-fashioned sculpts but decided to give them a try. Love them! Yesterday I had a mani/pedi. Tracy is OOTO so I went with Ben for my mani and Henry for my pedi. Suffice it to say that I won't be driving back to Dallas for a pedi anymore! They were great! This a good salon - very clean. They will do walk-ins but an appointment will get you to your tech of choice. Tracy, Ben and Henry are all great so give them a try! read more

I've been going here for several months since moving back to East Texas. The service was good and the prices are reasonable. However, the last time I went in, the owners were screaming in their native language at one of the other workers, who had a client in her chair. There were approximately 10 or so clients either getting pedicures or manicures and we all looked at each other like WTH. I had brought my mom with me and she wasn't sat next to me for the manicure and she gets a bit confused and didn't know why we weren't sitting together. I needed acrylics for a job interview in Dallas. I decided to get both mani / pedi. I liked this place pretty well. I am not remembering the tecnhicians names that I had but I remember the owner was super friendly and nice and was willing to fit me in for both services even tho it was close to their closing time. Many times I go in and they say, "No sorry we are closing." But she did not do that. They did bot mani - acrylics, and pedi gels. My fingers looked good but the product was so thick on there I always have trouble picking stuff up. I like it better when they do them thinner. They did french, and I think the whites could have been wider. It was a very think line of white, so it didn't last as long. Also the technician I had decided to take out my ingrown toenails and that really hurt so I am not sure how I feel about that! LOL. No harm done, but not sure I would want that to happen again. I would def go back but would stick with gels or just regular manicure as the acrylics always destroy my nail beds. read more

Pros: took a walk in for 2, with no notice. Nails looked nice in the end. Cons: there were several. 1. technician nicked me within 2 min of service starting 2. My friend and I had 100% the same pedicure service, but hers was 25 min longer 3. They cut her toenail, which bled obviously and profusely, but didn't attend to it until she called it out. 4. One of the technicians accidentally brushed my toes walking by, then terribly "fixed" it. I asked them to redo the nail and they grumbled and said it was fine, until I persisted and they gave in. read more

I went in last week to get my nails done for my wedding and they were just incredible! The employees and owners are so sweet and accommodating. Most places I've gone are so rough and inattentive to how they handle your nails, but VIP in Lindale was wonderful! They were so gentle with cuticles, the shaving down of the nail and everything else. No knicks. Needless to say, I will be back and I absolutely recommend to anyone. I just want to share that the price is set $45. For pedicure. I felt like they did it in a rush. They didn't asked me if I wanted my toe nails round or square! I don't think it's worth the price. They didn't even clean my toes the way other nail places do it. I will not recommend it. I will not come to this place again. I loved how my nails were done but was extremely disappointed that less than a week later my nails were already lifting. I spent $90 on a set that didn't even truly last a week. I get my nails done often and I know how to take care of them. So I went back to get it fixed and instead she suggested a "fill" and that fill quickly turned into just a "$40" fill to "$50" overlay... like what is the difference anyways?! But regardless I gave her another chance and here we are less an a week later and 2 nails have popped off from lifting and 2 others are lifting... and no they have not even grown out! Look at all The other nails and they look new. Extremely disappointed on the amount of money I've spent on nails to not last! Will not be going back. read more

I went today and had an uncomfortable experience. The lady stood over my friend and I until we chose our colors, even though we were the only two in the whole store, so it's not like they were busy. The then clipped my finger with the nail clippers and was very passive-aggressive when I very politely asked her to fix the (many) issues she made on my nails. I still left with lumpy and uneven nails because I was tired of having her pull and tug at my hands. There was also an employee sitting in the pedicure chairs smacking very loudly on what so assume was her lunch. She then came walking around the station I was at to clean things and was burping audibly. It was very gross and not a place I will be returning to. I still tipped, but only because I chose to have multicolored nails, and that takes more time. read more

My friend and I went to VIP this past Thursday. We both got a "dip" manicure. Not only was the "manicure" non existent... the sander they used to rough up our nails also tore up the cuticles! My fingers have 2 cuts on them. My friend said she has some cuts and sore places. Then at the end there was no lotion applied. Just a dollop squirted into our hands as we left! I had been here once before. But I sure won't ever go back. It's an infection waiting to happen. read more

THE WORST SERVICE EVER. I never write a bad review, when I do one it's to congratulate them for the service they offer, but this place is the worst experience I've ever had. It was all because I didn't want the most expensive service, I just wanted a regular pedicure, she was very rough throughout the pedicure, she threw my feet in the water, they never gave me a choice of color and when they finally gave it to me, she rushed me to choose one, to Other people they offer and give something to drink, they didn't even offer me water, they kept insisting that I take the most expensive service and since I refused they treated me worse every time. I was quite disappointed I was given a gift card to VIP Nails & Spa for my birthday. You may be wondering why I am giving it a 5 star rating if I was disappointed to receive the gift card. You see the previous time I was there was almost a year ago and I had awful service but they have new management now and they've redone some of the space. This time around I was greeted kindly by Trish. Trish did my pedicure and did a great job at it. I highly recommend giving this place a try if you haven't been since December 2017. I called at 9:30am and was able to make an appointment for 10:00am. I got a Full Set Acrylic. I wasn't clear in the beginning about the look I'd wanted and so the first lady I sat with was only able to put the tips on and cut them. The second was a very nice gentleman and he shaped my nails, I believe he left because he had a prior engagement. Then I met the holy grail of VIP Nails & Spa. Taylor. She was able to do the Ombré style I had wanted and she was sooo nice and they turned out beautiful and she apologized for moving me around a few times. I went before a hysterectomy bc I knew I wouldn't feel like it after. My nails were already cut and I soak my feet daily. The lady barely scrubbed my feet! I asked her to remove a rough patch. She said " oh it is callus and that is $5 extra". I went there for a pedicure and she tried to upcharge me for everything listed under the pedicure I purchased! This is not the first time I've been disappointed here. I think this place used to be awesome but has since changed owners. I would give 1/2 star and that is only bc they were wearing masks. I've been here 3 times in the last 4 months. The first time it was a pretty good pedicure. The second time was not great. Today was ridiculous! The man was unfriendly & looked irritated I had come in. (I should have left right then.) He started the water & it was cold I had to ask for warm water. The tub was already full the lady that came to do my pedi didn't drain any out & added very little warm water so it was still cold! She was overly rough with callous removal & salt scrub. Then I had to ASK for lotion & massage. She did my toes first then just put lotion on no massage. I will NOT be back. My nails looked lovely and flower decal was gorgeous (I wish I had taken a picture). They are very efficient but the reason I gave the low star was because the edges of my nails were rough and irregular. I actually filed them a little when I got home so there would be a nice even edge rather then a swoopy uneven edge. Other than that it was a great experience but those uneven edges are a big deal to me. read more

TECHNICIANS ARE NOT CUSTOMER SERVICE ORIENTED. Waited an hour, even though I called and was told there was no wait. First tech had an attitude because I asked for top coat to be removed from white solar acrylic. He proceeded to shorten my nail with drill, CUTTING INTO WHERE NAIL MEETS SKIN under the nail, on two fingers. Because I flinched from the pain he said someone else would have to finish my nails. I had no problem with this. Second guy was nice until at the end I asked him if he was finished with my left had. He got very defensive and started telling me he's had a chair for 18 year. I was so confused by his response because I was studying and wasn't paying attention which is why I asked. I get that customers can be overly picky but customers are still to be treated with respect and should be able to ask basic questions. If what you're doing is causing injury to a customer evaluate what you're doing, don't just get an attitude. NEVER RETURNING, hate being treated as if someone is doing me a favor by taking my money. read more

This place has went downhill a lot since it opened. Very unclean with roaches crawling around on the floor and walls. Can't seem to keep good staff. Person doing my pedicure seemed lost as if they didn't know what to do. Stopped repeatedly to take phone calls on cell phone. Insist you pay cash, I'm guessing so they don't have to report it to the IRS. I won't be back, there are too many better options. read more
