While I could tell you all about it, her malady and treatment plan wouldn't matter all that much to you, What might be useful for others in a similar position? Trust that the medical team is doing their best to diagnose/treat, and prepare for the plan to change daily based on progress or the lack thereof. If you visit more than once, it's helpful to know that in addition to the ER parking lot and the little guest lot SE of the main entrance, there is a large family parking garage on the west side of the outpatient building that you enter from N Manassas. A stairwell on the east-side center leads to a walkway east toward the outpatient building and main hospital. Once you head in that direction, you'll get your bearings. The kind staff members at visitor registration can point you toward anything else you need. Thanks, LCH, for providing good care to kids and their families, mine included.

This is the worst place anyone could ever visit. Whether you're a new patient or established…read morepatient, you will get the same stank, unprofessional, demeaning, disrespectful, RUDE manner. This is not only the behavior of the front desk staff, Shirley to be specific, but also the incompetent, unkind chair side manner of the doctor on staff. Time can be an issue at times but its expected for most doctrors visits anywhere you go. However they have a doctro that is fairly new, Cheryl Giles. She is the absolute worst choice they have ever made in the length of my time as a patient here. She is very rude and combative. She is very aggressive and sarcastic. I have seen her twice now. My patient chart states specifically that I do not want to see her. My first encounter with her she asked me "Why I am not consistent is seeing my doctor regularly for my diabetes follow ups. " I explained to her that I do not always have the money to be seen every 3 months. I struggle with trying to afford all the insulin and medications as it is. She told me that my financial problems are not her problems and that I should get a better job. She also proceeded to tell me that I am not managing my diabetes and its on me if something happened to me. Well I have been struggling for 9 years to manage my diabetes. But her attitude and demeanor were both harsh and uncalled for. I had no choice but to see Dr. Giles last night because she was the only doctor in the night clinic. She immediately came in and asked me was I there for my diabetes or was I there for a cold. I had been sick for nearly two weeks and needed to see what I could do to get better. I told her a cold. My sugar was 256 when i got there. Being a diabetic for 9 years, I know that being sick spikes my sugar and so does OTC meds. She asked me why my sugar was so high. I told her "I am sick". She then tells me that being sick has nothing to do with it and its because I do not eat right. Then she proceeds to ask me if my head hurt and my eyes which I assume she is trying to determine if this is a sinus infection. I told her no. She then asked if my throat was sore and I told her only when I cough. So her next question is "WHY ARE YOU HERE THEN". I am sick that is why I am here is my response to her. She then asks me "WHAT DO YOU WANT ME TO DO FOR YOU?" My response is "YOU ARE THE DOCTOR SO YOU SHOULD BE TELLING ME WHAT TO DO TO GET BETTER!" I do not understand how any doctor can be so disrespectful and rude. I have to pay to see the doctor and they are paid to assess me and treat me. This is not acceptable at all. I look forward to contacting the facility and meeting with them in regard to Cheryl Giles. She is unfit for her role. You do not treat people with such disrespect and especially not in that field. Other than her and her inability to treat patients respectfully, I enjoy MHC. Its not always the best service but when you see the volume of patients that they do daily, it can be hectic.

I initially came in 1st visit it was a great experience, I felt heard and understood. I've been struggling with my weight and pcos for quite some time and I needed to have a full exam. I got bloodwork and was told my results over the phone which was great because I didn't have to go in for it. My issue is I received my diagnosis and a treatment plan, but that was it.. No follow up to check the status or anything. I made my own appointment 5 months later to do my own research because no one ever cared to follow up. I ask for an appointment for bloodwork, Don't see a nurse or a dr or a PA nothing, No one asked if I've experienced any changes or anything like dang do yall care at all?I explain what I'm there for to the phlebotomist and get my bloodwork done, for it to be a full month later and no one has said anything about the results. I called back to dbl check and the receptionist says she will get someone to place it in my chart..2 weeks later.. Yep you guesssed it.. No results.. I like everyone's personality but unfortunately that isn't the only thing an office should be ran on. Please do better with following up with your patients. I am surly ready to transfer care because of this.
