She assisted me with trying on 4 different dresses and I ended up going with the very first dress I tried on! We had no idea a prom trunk show was going on. The smell when we walked in should have been an indication things would be bad. It was like being punched in the face with cockroach spray. People were everywhere wondering around. Racks upon racks of dresses in large plastic bags in every square inch of the store. After a few minutes an employee came over, gave a a rolling rack and told us to help ourselves. We were instructed to start digging through the racks and place whatever we wanted on our personal rack to try on. Things were organized by color but not by nice. It was impossible to find anything or even see what the dresses looked like since they were all in bug bulky bags. It was worse than Marshall's on Black Friday. This was not the type of experience I'd hope to have with my mom for such a special day. We left without trying anything on.

After lots of searching, I settled on a dress I felt would work for me even if it wasn't perfect. Two days before the wedding, a friend suggested an alternation that would transform it into the perfect gown but I knew it was too late. I called every tailor I knew but no one was willing to help. With 24 hours to go, Abby returned my call. She opened her shop and within an hour, had the alterations done. She could have charged me anything but only charged for the hour's work! We were…read moretold in January of 2021 to go get sized for our items, we did so and paid in full (to rent pants and a white shirt was over 200$) when we went to get fitted the trial dress they gave me was a little tight on the hips i said i would be okay sizing up and paying for the rest of the dress to be taken in. When i expressed this they told me as long as there is a seam they can take it out and it should be fine. It wasnt until august 18th did my dress come in (the wedding was on sept. 4th) i drove down immediately to get alterations done on it, the dress did not fit my hips. When i told them this they lady asked me if i was sure i didnt gain any weight since my try on period. I had just gotten married in july so i knew i couldnt have gained much weight but was still extremely offended. When they realized they couldnt take the seam out as far as it needed they got irritated and told me they would have to add material to the sides. They then told me id have to come back for atleast two more appts i explained that i live 1hr 30minutes away and the wedding was in two weeks, they did not care they told me thats what im going to have to do to get this dress to fit my body shape.. the following appt i went and they did a hem and have to fix the straps as they were too tight. The hem was crooked, when they "fixed" the strap they didnt take into account that my arm would still need to fit into the hole. They told me id have to come back for another appt. for then to fix the straps. I explained i would not have time for that and this needed to be taken care of today so i could take the dress home. The seamstress was very annoyed by this went literally cut the arm pit of the dress and sewed it back together to give it some "wiggle room" returned 10 minutes later and told me they dress will be fine its only for one day. I left with the dress that day. My husband on the other hand rented his clothes. The bride chose the pants and the shirt and we get him sized the same day i picked up my dress. They said everything is good and to pick his things up any time after the 30th of august.. the Monday before the wedding. The bride picked all of the guys clothes up on the same day saving us time to all drive down, the next day all the guys went to try on their clothes.. none of them fit, my husbands shirt did not even button because it was so tight on his chest. The pants were extremely tight on his waist/hips and just fell. They almost looked like a skirt on him. They could not wear these outfits, we took them back the following day explaining they didnt fit and that we were going to have to buy other clothes from somewhere else, they argued and told us they were not refunding us any money because they were already rented. The clothes weren't even worn! After getting screamed at by the owner we told them the review on this place is going to look awful coming for 20+ people all from the same wedding party, thats when their demeanor changed they told us they would refund us 50$ a person, we paid over 200$ for these rentals, now we have to go out and buy new clothes for each person! You enter one side for the prom stuff and the other side for the wedding stuff. * Wedding stuff of course requires an appointment. They keep their thick old school book on the counter and it is indeed packed. For prom wear you show up and the next available staff member assists you while they are also assisting other people at the same time. * My daughter was interested in a dress that their website lists as in stock with them. Nay-nay on this. The staff member who assisted us said that they didn't have that dress but dresses by that designer which is what that means. The website does not real time availability. If you really need a particular piece, either call before you come or buy it elsewhere. With that said, the trip was a success. While the dress she wanted was never stocked here at any time (per the staff member who assisted us), she did find something similar that worked and it was a little cheaper then what she initially wanted so score for me since stuff here is not cheap by any means. Ideally coming during the week I think would yield the best results with being able to browse and try things on without people being everywhere. Door to door the process took about 70 minutes which I guess isn't bad although next time I'll stick with the Jaws IV marathon as it might be less painful.

IT WAS A SIZE 6. i couldn't even breathe and it felt very unflattering. They told me I could get it taken out, but that I had to contact the seamstress myself from their list. The seamstress I saw was great, but had a very hard time taking the dress out enough. In order to make the dress fit me, several seams had to be broken and it compromised the integrity of the gown so it didn't look great.
