Love this place, the staff and amazing selection! The staff made it easy to find the perfect dress

I DO NOT RECOMMEND!!! My husband and i were in our best friends wedding in September 2021. We were told in January of 2021 to go get sized for our items, we did so and paid in full (to rent pants and a white shirt was over 200$) when we went to get fitted the trial dress they gave me was a little tight on the hips i said i would be okay sizing up and paying for the rest of the dress to be taken in. When i expressed this they told me as long as there is a seam they can take it out and it should be fine. It wasnt until august 18th did my dress come in (the wedding was on sept. 4th) i drove down immediately to get alterations done on it, the dress did not fit my hips. When i told them this they lady asked me if i was sure i didnt gain any weight since my try on period. I had just gotten married in july so i knew i couldnt have gained much weight but was still extremely offended. When they realized they couldnt take the seam out as far as it needed they got irritated and told me they would have to add material to the sides. They then told me id have to come back for atleast two more appts i explained that i live 1hr 30minutes away and the wedding was in two weeks, they did not care they told me thats what im going to have to do to get this dress to fit my body shape.. the following appt i went and they did a hem and have to fix the straps as they were too tight. The hem was crooked, when they "fixed" the strap they didnt take into account that my arm would still need to fit into the hole. They told me id have to come back for another appt. for then to fix the straps. I explained i would not have time for that and this needed to be taken care of today so i could take the dress home. The seamstress was very annoyed by this went literally cut the arm pit of the dress and sewed it back together to give it some "wiggle room" returned 10 minutes later and told me they dress will be fine its only for one day. I left with the dress that day. My husband on the other hand rented his clothes. The bride chose the pants and the shirt and we get him sized the same day i picked up my dress. They said everything is good and to pick his things up any time after the 30th of august.. the Monday before the wedding. The bride picked all of the guys clothes up on the same day saving us time to all drive down, the next day all the guys went to try on their clothes.. none of them fit, my husbands shirt did not even button because it was so tight on his chest. The pants were extremely tight on his waist/hips and just fell. They almost looked like a skirt on him. They could not wear these outfits, we took them back the following day explaining they didnt fit and that we were going to have to buy other clothes from somewhere else, they argued and told us they were not refunding us any money because they were already rented. The clothes weren't even worn! After getting screamed at by the owner we told them the review on this place is going to look awful coming for 20+ people all from the same wedding party, thats when their demeanor changed they told us they would refund us 50$ a person, we paid over 200$ for these rentals, now we have to go out and buy new clothes for each person! They are MONEY HUNGRY. We all get the pandemic hit businesses hard but to treat a wedding party like this 2 days before whats supposed to be the best day of their lives.. WOW... i would put 0 stars if i could. read more

Was in a bridal party and every single member had issues. One girls dress had a stain on it. Then they tried to make her pay for they shipping back to the store. The guys tuxes were completely wrong. and the owner Kim doesnt take accountability when issues are brought to her! Terrible service. Considering the amount of time, money, and emotional investment that goes into choosing, purchasing, and fitting a wedding dress, I strongly advise against going here, despite the otherwise great experience. Alexis is fabulous. You cannot ask for better. What is extremely unfair to her, the other consultants, & the customers is the rudeness and incompetence of the seamstress, & the owner's priority of protecting her rather than delivering the service promised.. I only needed a slight hem and a very minor tuck of one out of 3 straps that connected at the top. It was so minor; I could have gotten away without any alteration really. The seamstress acted annoyed and irritated the few minutes she gave me. I let it go. Then, days before my next fitting, I get an unapologetic call from Jen to reschedule to right before my wedding because they "overbooked." After getting Alexis (angel) on the phone, we rectify the situation and I go as scheduled.The hem is uneven. The straps are SO tight that I bruise and get cut up immediately, cups are at my chin, & the waist darts are at my ribs. After taking it on and off numerous times while they go back to the seamstress, telling me they just adjusted it back to normal, that it isn't tight when I say it hurts, & then forcing me to redesign my dress by removing straps, I pull out a photo of it before it was altered, and Alexis (again, angel) sees I have proof that the seamstress did this. Was it cut? I believe so, but Kim would not answer me. The kicker is that I remained patient, albeit upset, for an HOUR of this NONSENSE before the rude seamstress came out and goes, "You didn't say it was tight before." She blamed me! Not a single apology from her! Unfortunately, I was pushed to get pretty ugly as I was not treated fairly when I was nice. I do not like this. The selecting was really great and fun. I feel awful that the consultants take the heat for the seamstress's negligence. Alexis even offered to drive the dress to me when it was fixed as I do not live locally, which is so incredibly kind, but she should not have to be inconvenienced for a rude and unapologetic woman who clearly doesn't want to do her job. I even feel bad that the owner had to take the heat for it, except that she defends her and there seems to be absolutely no consequences for the seamstress, who must be a family member or close friend because it's clear this is a pattern she keeps getting away with. She clearly isn't going anywhere, so beware. Kim apologized and communicated to some degree, even giving me her cell phone, but she talked to me like I was a picky child, and she apologized for my feelings, not for what was actually done. This isn't the same. She eventually started ignoring me. Eventually, they put enormous straps from another dress on and sent me on my way to go somewhere else with a "voucher" that won't cover the alterations. These dresses are likely the most expensive items we will put on our bodies, and many dresses need MAJOR difficult alterations. It is not worth it to be dismissed as soon as the money is paid, to be treated as an annoyance, to have added stress, make unnecessary trips, & to have your dress butchered by someone who should retire. At the least, buy here but get altered somewhere else. Demand a discount or compensation for omitting alterations as the alterations are supposed included after a certain price point, and this particular seamstress should not see a dime of your money. read more

I've purchased two very important dresses at Exclusively You (EY) in the past 4 years. The first was a bridesmaid's dress for my brother's wedding in 2009. The other BM's and I went with my sister-in-law to try on dresses and the staff were very helpful pulling designers, fabrics and styles of dresses for us to try that could come in the color the bride was looking for. We found the perfect dress for us that day and the ordering and pick-up process was a breeze. The next dress I ordered at EY was my wedding dress. Kim's team at Exclusively You made me feel like I was the only bride in the store. I had found my dream dress while shopping out of state, but didn't want the hassle of purchasing and then transporting it home to PA for the wedding. I called and asked them to let me know when the style would come in so I could make an appointment to try it on there and decide if I felt comfortable ordering my dress from EY. I was in love with a full lace dress that was not going to be easy to alter if there were issues (lace detail on the bottom and keyhole back). They understood the sizing for this particular designer's dresses, advised me smartly which size to order (so I wouldn't have to wear crazy tall heels) and alleviated my worries and fears. I went for three fittings and every time Kim and the seamstress assessed every detail of the dress to make sure that nothing was out of place. If it was, it was noted and fixed the next time I came in. They were absolutely going to make sure that I loved how my dress fit, and the dress was tailored perfectly to my body. One great thing to know is that they offer free alterations if your dress is a certain price or higher. I don't remember the price, but it's a wonderful service that also sets them aside from other bridal shops. I would recommend this shop to any bride in the area. They really listen and work with you to help you find that perfect dress. read more

Although I was very excited to check out the bridal dresses, especially at a local store, I was remarkably disappointed in their service. The staff member who spoke to me during my lackluster visit here was incredibly dismissive and honestly out-right rude. She made it very clear from the moment I entered that she was not interested in my business, which is a loss for them as I was open to spending $2000 on the wedding dress that I was told they carried. I have no interest in returning here ever again, and I suggest the staff work on their pleasantries and kindness going forward. read more

Great staff, good location but this store really needs to upgrade to the 21st century. I got 2 tux rentals there within 3 months and had issues. First time I was a groomsman and I called to verify I paid and they said I didn't. But then later found the paperwork solving everything. For my own wedding, they had told me one groomsman didn't pay when in fact he paid the whole amount and kept his receipts. The other was told he still owed money but he was Also paid in full. This review isn't bashing the staff or anyone because they do treat you great. But when you go in and see stacks of paper and a list with lines drawn through names and a non existent computer, it's a bit odd. Hope the owner sees this, help out for staff and get a computer for receipts and such!!! read more

I have purchased my wedding dress from this place and I must say the young lady that assisted me with everything was absolutely wonderful! The reason I am only rating this place two stars is because each and every fitting I had with my dress was rushed. I was extremely unhappy and disappointed in my alterations to the point I was sobbing. I had spoken to the owner about my concerns and why I was unhappy with everything. She pretty much just said I was just being emotional and overwhelmed with my wedding approaching soon, like every bride. No! That was not the case. After I discussed everything with her and assured her that was not the reason why I was upset, she offered me to come in again and try my dress on. I did just that. At that point I was just disgusted with it. The top didn't fit right ,the sleeves were to tight, one of the buttons was practically falling off in the back, and I had about 4 inches in the bust area that still needed taken in. She never took into consideration I was unhappy with the way it fitted me and I needed more alterations done. She rushed me threw the entire appointment once again as every appointment I have ever had there. When she discussed with me that she would have the remainder of the alterations done I then had to wait 3 days before my wedding to try it back on and for it to be completed because the seamstress was on VACATION! I do not recommend this place to anyone just based off of my experience. I felt used for my money and once she got it she didn't care about anything else. read more

They did a great job helping me find a dress, but the rest of my experience with this bridal shop was stressful. I chose not to use Davids Bridal since I have had horrible experiences with them as a bridesmaid. I figured by using a small bridal shop that I could minimize the stress surrounding the wedding attire. I bought my dress, shoes, viel, bridesmaids dresses were purchased through the shop as well as a mothers dress. We also rented the tuxedos from EY. My specific complaints include: In my opinion the alterations were very sloppy. Despite my dress being heavy, my dress had only one bustle & it ended up breaking during the reception. The hem was obviously uneven and it took them twice to correct it. In my opinion they had no clue when it came to properly sizing a shoe with a 3" + heel. It ended up being at least one size too large. Additionally, they ordered a bridesmaid dress that was two sizes too small for one of my bridesmaids. In the end I had them review all of the charges and discovered I was overcharged. I feel that planning a wedding is stressful enough. In my opinion a bridal shop should understand this and since they specialize in weddings, be experienced and provide adequate service. I feel the service at this shop was very much less than adequate and ended up being a major stressor. In the end I did receive the money I was overcharged and they agreed to pay for the alterations for the bridesmaid dress that was two sizes too small. My experience began over 25 years ago when Exclusively You helped me find the gown I saw at a bridal show and made my dream dress come true. Over the years I have had reasons to go back for weddings and my children for various dances, and I've recommended them time and time again to family and friends for special occasions. The most recent was for this year's prom that, due to the pandemic, never happened. I had an issue and was so afraid of dealing with a store over the stress of the pandemic. The only reason I gave it 4 stars was because I received a lot of resistance from staff voicing my concerns. Much to my relief I was able to speak to the store owner who listened to my concerns and helped my daughter, who worked and saved her senior year to buy her dream dress address the problem she was having and resolved her issue easily and quickly. She made her experience as positive as the ones we have had over the years. It is so nice to know there are still small town businesses willing to step out of the business mold and deal with issues one on one rather than having their employees become tyrants that do not take into consideration real life problems. My daughter was asked to be one of six bridesmaids in her cousin's wedding. We were asked to stop by this bridal store ASAP to order the gown the bride decided upon - We drove two hours to our appt.in November. ( my daughter was home for a college break) I paid in full - and we were told the gown would be arriving by the beginning of March at the latest. I was concerned the gown was ordered too large, but was told it would be fine and we would have it in plenty of time for the June wedding date. ( Kim was our sales associate) The dress never arrived in March or April. After numerous calls and verbal battles with the manager who made a million excuses and was so rude, our dress arrived in May - - of course it was way to big - they offered to do the alterations at a discount. We took the dress out of the store and went to our own seamstress. PLEASE think twice before you purchase from them - they are rude and did not care about this customer!!! read more

I don't know how this place has almost 5 stars! I feel bad that I can't give a better review, because the workers there were awesome (and deserve more credit)! I loved Alexis, she was very helpful and understanding. The owner, Kim, however was the complete opposite. I also did not like the seamstress. Do NOT go here. To start, my sister, the bride, was told that she would be called when our bridesmaid dresses were in. They never called. As a business owner, don't tell your clients one thing and do another. I let that go, figuring they were just too busy. We then get our bridesmaid dresses, only to bring them home and find out that they were the wrong dresses! Kim refused to take blame on the mistake, claiming it was the company they ordered from at fault (um isn't it your job to match numbers up and make sure the style is correct before giving us the dresses)? So to compensate for the mistake (and because my sister's wedding was only 10 days away at this point), Kim said she'd rush order the correct dresses at no cost to us and then give us free alterations. She also said that when we come in for our alterations, the dresses would be fixed THAT day so we wouldn't have to drive all the way to Bloom again. OK, cool I dig that. So I made an appointment to have alterations taken care of. At my appt. I was rushed fitting room to fitting room because the rest of the rooms were taken. By the way, this also happened when we MADE AN APPOINTMENT to try on dresses originally. Why require an appointment if you're just going to make us constantly move from room to room? Anyway, the whole alteration with the seamstress took maybe 10 mins. in total. I then said I would wait for the dress to be finished, only I was told that the seamstress didn't have time to alter that day. Had a friend pick it up, and it was too small! I had to go back AGAIN, and when Kim and seamstress realized they couldn't even zip it, asked if I was on my period. Unprofessional! IT ALSO HAPPENED TO THE OTHER BRIDESMAID that it was taken in too much and had to be let out. Maybe the seamstress just can't figure out the sewing machine because if I could supposedly gain weight to the point the dress couldn't fit me after altering, I need to go on Guiness Book of World Records for "Most Weight Gained in 3 Days Time." read more

Had a lovely appointment with Alexis today. She was able to quickly pull beautiful dresses that were right in line with the styles I had in mind. There was also ample space in the shop so I didn't feel like I was competing for space with other parties and it was comfortable for my mother and sister to wait while I was in between dresses. When it came time to make a decision she wasn't pushy at all and proactively suggested that I sleep on it and wrote down the dress information so it was easy for me to come back to when I was ready to make a decision. I went to Exclusively You this past weekend to look for a wedding dress. I had purchased my prom gown from Exclusively You a number of years ago, and when I saw that they carried one of the wedding dress designers that I liked, I knew I had to go there. This was the first place I went to try on gowns, and they were incredibly helpful and nice about the entire process. They pulled all of the dresses from the designer I liked that they had, and because it was my first time dress shopping, they also pulled a bunch more so that I could make sure I liked the trumpet fit vs. a sheath or ball gown. It was very helpful to be able to try on many different dresses and not feel rushed through the process. They all wanted to help and find the perfect dress for me. Although I ended up buying my dress at a different store, I would highly recommend Exclusively You! read more

I needed a dress for a formal party and the ladies were so accommodating! They had a nice selection of dresses and gave me plenty of time to try on and make a decision with no pressure. They seemed pretty busy with girls looking for prom dresses and a bridal party trying on dresses. I also needed some alterations and their seamstress did a great job of fitting me properly. This is my first time dealing with Exclusively You and it surely will be my last. I was a bridesmaid in my 6th wedding so I'm no stranger to the process. Upon arriving for initial measuring and dress choice, they wanted me to strip. I told them I wasn't comfortable with this. They proceeded to get real snotty with me telling me they can't measure with clothes on. I said 5 other dress shops never had that problem so they measured on top of the clothes. We opted for custom measured dresses, basically the dress should fit perfectly upon receipt and no alterations necessary. I paid an additional $50 for this. 2 different people did the measurements to ensure it was done correctly. When the dress arrived, it was insanely too big. I could've placed a pillow in the bust and still have room and it was 3 inches too long. I asked how this could be but got no answer. Naturally a bunch of alterations were necessary and I was informed that I have to pay for them since the dress was less than $600. I argued that I paid extra to avoid this but was stuck with the bill regardless. I went back after alterations and it was still too big. Back to the seamstress it went. After all said and done, my $250 dress became $340 with alterations and "custom" order. Don't waste your time or money. read more
