When we were there inquiring they assured…read moreus that they could do a colon (:) as part of the inscription, and we clearly stated to them that that was the reason that we went there over other jewelry stores, because the few other places we had checked did not have the capability of inscribing a colon. I returned to pick up the ring, and the engraving was terrible. The words did not line up together, and they omitted the colon as well as the dash (-) that I had written out for my inscription when I dropped the ring off. The (?)owner stated that he had been unable to accomplish these characters on his engraving machine. I was never notified of this until I showed up to pick up the ring and pay for it. And I was still expected to pay for the engraving work that they had incorrectly completed. I felt deceived and cheated as I left. I hate to give a poor review for a small town business, but I was very disappointed with both the work and the service, especially for such an important piece of jewelry to us. Would not recommend.

My father took an heirloom mantle clock into the store after reading an article in the paper that…read morethe owner was able to fix clocks. When my father returned he was told it was broken ( presumably by him). When my father returned home it was discovered that the key for the clock was missing. We followed up to pick up the key, where we discovered he LOST the key. When questioned about the damage to the clock he denied breaking it and said that the clock "had considerable work done to it in the past" which is 100% untrue and would need a rebuild to be fixed. After FOUR trips to the store, I was looked in the eye and told the key being provided to me on the FOURTH trip (after 3 previous keys) was our key. When I took it to my father he said it wasn't the key. After some investigation, it was discovered he had taken the clock to Ye Olde Clock shoppe in Dallas and gotten a replacement key, despite being looked in the eye and told it was OUR original key. I would trust NOTHING with this store or the owner. He is condescending, arrogant and most importantly a liar. I would have appreciated the truth and would have accepted that over being lied to. Furthermore, while I cannot prove it, it is my impression that he tried to fix our clock, broke it and then took it somewhere to cover himself to have verification that it "had had extensive work done on it" which never happened. Such a shame when we tried to support a local business during a global pandemic. Be weary!
