I hired Sneidman's to engrave my husband's wedding ring. When we were there inquiring they assured…read moreus that they could do a colon (:) as part of the inscription, and we clearly stated to them that that was the reason that we went there over other jewelry stores, because the few other places we had checked did not have the capability of inscribing a colon. I returned to pick up the ring, and the engraving was terrible. The words did not line up together, and they omitted the colon as well as the dash (-) that I had written out for my inscription when I dropped the ring off. The (?)owner stated that he had been unable to accomplish these characters on his engraving machine. I was never notified of this until I showed up to pick up the ring and pay for it. And I was still expected to pay for the engraving work that they had incorrectly completed. I felt deceived and cheated as I left. I hate to give a poor review for a small town business, but I was very disappointed with both the work and the service, especially for such an important piece of jewelry to us. Would not recommend.

My father took an heirloom mantle clock into the store after reading an article in the paper that…read morethe owner was able to fix clocks. When my father returned he was told it was broken ( presumably by him). When my father returned home it was discovered that the key for the clock was missing. We followed up to pick up the key, where we discovered he LOST the key. When questioned about the damage to the clock he denied breaking it and said that the clock "had considerable work done to it in the past" which is 100% untrue and would need a rebuild to be fixed. After FOUR trips to the store, I was looked in the eye and told the key being provided to me on the FOURTH trip (after 3 previous keys) was our key. When I took it to my father he said it wasn't the key. After some investigation, it was discovered he had taken the clock to Ye Olde Clock shoppe in Dallas and gotten a replacement key, despite being looked in the eye and told it was OUR original key. I would trust NOTHING with this store or the owner. He is condescending, arrogant and most importantly a liar. I would have appreciated the truth and would have accepted that over being lied to. Furthermore, while I cannot prove it, it is my impression that he tried to fix our clock, broke it and then took it somewhere to cover himself to have verification that it "had had extensive work done on it" which never happened. Such a shame when we tried to support a local business during a global pandemic. Be weary!

My fiance and I purchased my engagement ring & wedding band from this store and the experience was…read moreso delightful. Every other store that I had perused before had an atmosphere of trying to push something on me that I didn't want, trying to up sell me, and were simply just after the commission. The overall experience was so wonderful and professional and I could tell that the staff were focused on getting the ring right instead of just getting something sold. I DO NOT RECOMMEND!!! My husband and i were in our best friends wedding in September 2021. We were…read moretold in January of 2021 to go get sized for our items, we did so and paid in full (to rent pants and a white shirt was over 200$) when we went to get fitted the trial dress they gave me was a little tight on the hips i said i would be okay sizing up and paying for the rest of the dress to be taken in. When i expressed this they told me as long as there is a seam they can take it out and it should be fine. It wasnt until august 18th did my dress come in (the wedding was on sept. 4th) i drove down immediately to get alterations done on it, the dress did not fit my hips. When i told them this they lady asked me if i was sure i didnt gain any weight since my try on period. I had just gotten married in july so i knew i couldnt have gained much weight but was still extremely offended. When they realized they couldnt take the seam out as far as it needed they got irritated and told me they would have to add material to the sides. They then told me id have to come back for atleast two more appts i explained that i live 1hr 30minutes away and the wedding was in two weeks, they did not care they told me thats what im going to have to do to get this dress to fit my body shape.. the following appt i went and they did a hem and have to fix the straps as they were too tight. The hem was crooked, when they "fixed" the strap they didnt take into account that my arm would still need to fit into the hole. They told me id have to come back for another appt. for then to fix the straps. I explained i would not have time for that and this needed to be taken care of today so i could take the dress home. The seamstress was very annoyed by this went literally cut the arm pit of the dress and sewed it back together to give it some "wiggle room" returned 10 minutes later and told me they dress will be fine its only for one day. I left with the dress that day. My husband on the other hand rented his clothes. The bride chose the pants and the shirt and we get him sized the same day i picked up my dress. They said everything is good and to pick his things up any time after the 30th of august.. the Monday before the wedding. The bride picked all of the guys clothes up on the same day saving us time to all drive down, the next day all the guys went to try on their clothes.. none of them fit, my husbands shirt did not even button because it was so tight on his chest. The pants were extremely tight on his waist/hips and just fell. They almost looked like a skirt on him. They could not wear these outfits, we took them back the following day explaining they didnt fit and that we were going to have to buy other clothes from somewhere else, they argued and told us they were not refunding us any money because they were already rented. The clothes weren't even worn! After getting screamed at by the owner we told them the review on this place is going to look awful coming for 20+ people all from the same wedding party, thats when their demeanor changed they told us they would refund us 50$ a person, we paid over 200$ for these rentals, now we have to go out and buy new clothes for each person! They are MONEY HUNGRY. We all get the pandemic hit businesses hard but to treat a wedding party like this 2 days before whats supposed to be the best day of their lives.. WOW... i would put 0 stars if i could.
