Here's a shout-out to VIP, which has been one of my go-to places in ABQ for a good haircut. It's been nice seeing this small business, which is clearly successful, open its doors a few years ago and grow professionally by offering good value-added services and products. You can now make an appointment on-line (if you don't want to call or walk in without an appointment), get a haircut and have your hair washed at VIP, watch TV while sitting on a comfortable couch, listen to satellite radio, open the fridge and buy a drink, buy VIP logowear, consider purchasing other grooming services that are offered, and make your next appointment. VIP offers good products/services, they're serious about their business, they're in a convenient high-traffic location, and all of the employees seem quite happy and nice. Bravo! read more

I've tried calling several times couldn't get thru since last Friday. Decided to ride over. Shop was open but empty. Two barbers in office eating. Asked if i could get a haircut But one of the barbers reminded me they work on appointments. Fine i've been getting my hair cut there last 6 yrs. I explained that i couldn't get thru on the phone system he told me the cable tv was down .... He said he couldn't cut my hair cause he an appt at 3:00.............. it was 1:10 in the afternoon. It typically takes 20 mins to cut my hair. I walked out never to return. Your customer service is crude at best. They obviously are doing so well they don't need to make an effort to keep my business! Please try harder or hire a babysitter to watch over your business when you aren't there Remember your friends aren't paying your bills Especially if this is the way your customers are being treated while you were gone P.s. the other barber just in the office watching and listening and never said a word. O went over to alameda near the old Burlington and got the cut for half the price and enjoyed being there and appreciated. Really sorry read more

Im in town from Denver here for work I didn't know where to go for a good fade since I had a bad experience from the first time I went to a barber here in town, from word of mouth and reading some reviews I made an appointment with Kye, and I'm so glad I did! They were super fast at scheduling me the same day and most importantly he got down with my fade ! He cut my hair fast and I left looking fresh as f*k! I highly recommend this place! Being pretty particular about my hair/grooming needs, I'm always a little skeptical about trying a new spot. Upon walking in, you have a nice little waiting area with some couches / magazines / tv to make your wait more enjoyable. On my most recent visit, the TV was tuned to First Take on ESPN. I love that program - so I'm already diggin the place. It was Friday morning and they were busy. The dude in front of me was getting a cut & shave, so I experienced a moderate wait time. Sabina was the person to cut my hair, and she was phenomenal. She asked me a lot of questions about how I wear my hair--one style, or many styles. She asked how much effort I was willing to put into my hair maintenance , and after a few more questions .. we settled on a style that would work perfectly for me. The effort she put into asking great questions to ensure we got the look we were looking for was very appreciated. Once we got to actually cutting my hair, I noticed her attention to detail was on point. She took a lot of time making sure it was done just as we had discussed. Now I knew why the person in front of me had been in the chair for so long--because Sabina is very meticulous with her work. Great little spot. Pricing isn't bad. Will def be coming back to Sabina for my cuts in the future. read more

A woman cut my hair, she did not touch a on the entire cut. She used the electric razor for all the cut leaving my hair destroyed.

I was need of a haircut and needed to kill some time while I waited for the wife. This shop was close by and decided to give it a try and I'm so glad I did, I got a fantastic haircut and electric shave. In addition I rarely talk during haircuts but this time it was different, I enjoyed the conversation with Brandon. I hope that's his name, I didn't write it down and I've got the memory of a goldfish. Even though I live an hour away this might be my new spot. Hats off to these folks read more

A great place to get a well-done haircut. With a clean and well environment, this place is good for any guy of all walks of life.

Let me start out by saying my 5 year old started going to a barber at 6 months old and has been going regularly since so he is very used to the process. The whole thing started out bad when we were shown back to the station where they hadn't even cleaned up the clippings from the last client. It definitely didn't leave me with an impression of cleanliness. She then proceeded to start cutting his hair and I could see him cringing in pain and when she turned him around I can see she gave him razor burn on his neck and nicked his ear which bled profusely. The barber did not seem to be concerned at all and just shrugged it off. I will never return to this establishment and wanted to write a review to warn other people. read more

Horrible service the barbers play favorites to their regulars over the people who have been there waiting. Been there twice now with same experience. Was 4th person on the list and told about 20 min. I am very picky about my hair. The first time i went there i got a pretty decent hair cut. Then i made the mistake of going back.... Well lets just say I had to pay for two haircuts on the same day. The fading of the hair was about average, but then the wheels came off this thing when I asked for a hard part. Normally that means where your natural part ia they shave it to make it more pronounced. Well the result was she went about a half inch below my normal part and shaved a line jn my head. I looked like i was adding racing stripes to my head so i could run faster. I asked her to fix it and she said that it wasnt poasible since she used the straight razor. I think she felt insulted that i even asked her to fix it. So i left and ended up going to alan at signature cuts. Lets say alan has my repeat business now. Any one who could fix that haircut and make it look good must be a super barber. read more

Have had two haircuts here so far. Only go here because my normal place is only open from Wednesday to Saturday. Girls are nice but one gets easily distracted by her phone and the last girl to cut my hair is a smoker. It's fine if you choose to get lung cancer, but at least wash your hands after your done smoking so I don't have to smell the stench coming from your fingers. read more
