    Biscuits and Gravy

Tucked into this charming little town of three Oaks, Michigan just off of interstate Highway 94, is this new adorable café that's inspired by Southern comfort cuisine. I was with a group of seven, and then we got a wide variety of foods ranging from the pancakes, to biscuits and gravy, to the gumbo, to their version of eggs Benedict. All the ingredients were incredibly fresh and delicious, and even the owner stopped by to say hi. (Absolutely lovely man) It was very busy and there's a little bit of the way, but it's absolutely worth it and I understand why. Can't wait to return.

Great breakfast & lunch spot in a charming town. New ownership have updated the decor and changed the menu (southern focus). Very welcoming owner and attentive staff. We had The Y'all-andaise (very good, comes à la carte), two pancakes (they are thick), and a side of hash brown potatoes. Really enjoyed the place, the food and the service so we'll be back. One thing that seemed odd (but no big deal) is that this was the first breakfast place I've ever been to that serves eggs but doesn't offer omelets.

    Beautiful!

It takes a few minutes since it is made fresh, but it is so much better that way. You walk in, get into the line, and take a long, hard look at the impressive menu board. Then look down - they have all sorts of delicious baked goods as well. Pick what you want, order it up. We sat outside since it was a nice day, under a nice table with an umbrella. They brought the food out, and it was very tasty! I had their Turkey Club, which was scrumptious, just mouth wateringly good. My wife had their bagel bacon, egg and cheese sandwich, which she enjoyed. They have an assortment of drinks and chilled water. I had a coke which was good, and went back for chilled water. This is a nice place, off the beaten path. Find it, try it, you'll enjoy it.

The sourdough bread is buttery and toasted to perfection that gives a nice crunch and texture to your sandwich. My friend had the tuna melt and she really loved it. I took a bite of it and it was pretty good. The pickled onion gives a nice flavor for the whole sandwich. My other friend had the spaghetti sandwich and it was basically a spaghetti with bread. The chocolate covered doughnut was so good! It is fresh and the texture is so soft and it melts in your mouth. Highly recommend this place!

We had friendly and attentive service and the food came out hot and quickly. There is a small patio out front on the sidewalk with three or four tables. My husband said he is going to be dreaming about the peaches and cream French toast for days to come. I also enjoyed the BAART, a riff on the BLT with avocado and arugula. Would definitely return.

This place was bustling!! It seems like a very popular spot! We just had the two of us and were seated at a small two person table between two other close tables - located alongside a long booth bench against the wall that breaks up into individual seating spots. This was totally fine for our breakfast that morning but it's not something I'd prefer if you like your privacy in conversation or otherwise. ;) The service was slow to start but after our waitress came she was mostly attentive the rest of our meal. We ordered 2 coffees. These were stronger and much more delicious than your average "diner cup"!! The staff offered a couple of refills throughout our time. I really loved the simplicity of the menu! There are options with a great variety, but it's still concise and not overwhelming!! Our dishes came out within 10 minutes of ordering, extremely fast and was surprising! My husband ordered the Huevos Rancheros with chorizo and he enjoyed it! The flavors were bold and the plate was pleasing to the eyes except for the avocado which was looked like it was quickly turning. I ordered the Crab Cake Benedict and had super high expectations for this entree!! It looked so beautiful upon arrival but when I began eating I quickly realized the dish was quite cool! My first half came with a well done poached egg which was disappointing. The second piece was cooked perfectly but was also just not very warm. The hollandaise sauce had wonderful flavor, but again, just wasn't warm - it seemed like the dish had maybe been sitting. I think this dish could be outstanding at the right temperature!! The potatoes that accompany this entree were a little dry for my liking but my husband thought they were good!! :) We noticed other tables with special lattes and several parties being served decadent looking sweet breakfast options - those all looked delicious!! There was a super kind and outgoing waitress serving nearby tables, explaining all kinds of special choices, like lovely latte options that were being offered that morning. The way she so kindly described everything sounded delicious but unfortunately our waitress didn't welcome our table with that same level of hospitality. What we saw being ordered by those nearby was met with great happiness when it arrived to them!! :)
