I really thought this place was going to be great but all they sell are bread, coffee and premade salad - the fridge section was great and a great place to get a gift but this is not it unfortunately - hippity dippity more than farm to table vibes. read more

Johnny tsunami couldn't handle the score on this loaf. Not only was the bread stunning it was also delicious and toasted really well. The person who helped me check out was friendly and knowledgeable and there was a warm and inviting patio. I will be back for a pastry. I know it looks amazing in the fall. read more

I was introduced to Farmette via social media influencers, which made me a little nervous. How busy would this spot be on a Friday in July? Very, very busy. By noon, the parking lot was jam-packed, people were everywhere inside and out, all of the cafe pastries had vanished, the beverage line was quite long, and there were a few loaves of sourdough and focaccia left. Farmette has some good problems. I wasn't going to mess with the cafe side and turned my attention to the market side. Browsing around, I was utterly delightful with the market curator's choices! It was so easy to create a beach picnic. Expect food stuffs for every taste bud, fresh produce, and specialty items from both MI and beyond. A foodie's market paradise. My basket: sourdough crackers from Detroit, kombucha from Nashville, vegan cheeses from Austin, popcorn from Vermont, local peaches and tomatoes, and halva from NYC. I would have grabbed more, but my wallet said "STOP." From my market experience, Farmette gets five stars for its selection. I can tell this place has a vision, and I hope it comes to life. read more

Locally sourced and female owned are two of my favorite things. Farmette does it all, and in such a gorgeous way. I'm not a coffee drinker, so I can't comment on that, but all of the other goods (veggies, wines, cook books and locally sourced snacks) were so so good. I love seeing how this business works with some of my other favorites in both the Traverse City and metro Detroit areas. I love that this exists so close to home. Can't wait to come back! read more

Loved the local feel and that they had so much outdoor seating and even had a few blankets that we used as it was a little chilly, but the sun felt nice! Loved walking the shopping area and the coffee was good. Only complaint is that they don't warm the croissants with the coffee. Would still come back!! read more

Good vibes! Exciting that they allow pets outside, though the large rocks made it a little hard for them to explore. With a name like Farmette I sort of expected something that felt more rural and less parking lot-ish. The interior though was beautiful! Great service and great chai latte. I'd definitely consider this a worthwhile pit stop on the way up to Michigan. read more

Really cute cafe! It was extremely busy! The drink pick up area was kind of chaotic. It seems like it would've been easier if they took people's names. Since they have a smallish menu, it was hard to figure out whose was whose. I tried the iced strawberry and cream latte and it was delicious! Perfectly subtle strawberry flavor. Nice place nice people good products. But if you're going for the fresh baked bread get there early or call first! Stopped on the way from Michigan to Illinois and they were sold out a 1pm came back through in a Monday and they were sold out at 12 noon. Not one to complain without offering a solution.. try baking more bread. Worst case is like many bakeries, sell 1 day old leftover bread at a discount, it will sell. Then you have enough to last a full day of sales and then more sales of fresh and leftover the next day ‍ just a thought. read more

This was our first stop from Indianapolis on our way to the beach and this place alone was worth the 2.5 hour drive! The focaccia bread is the best I've ever had. Ever. Beautiful, relaxing, clean, inviting and wonderful service. read more

What a joy it was to see Katie's vision come to life: part farm, part bakery, part cafe with a sweet little marketplace offering an outstanding curation of foods (fresh and packaged) and beverages (alcoholic and non alcoholic). Wanted to love it but can not yet. Watch your money here and unfriendly service. Purchased one single peach (and other items), was charged $3.75, when I questioned if that was correct, I was met with silence and cashier re-weighing. When I asked for clarification she stated their scale doesn't work properly and keeps changing numbers. Lack of training. Peach was $2.10. Never a sorry, thank you or hello. Purchased slice of focaccia bread, 3" by 3" for $8. No sign posted or would have never bought. Pasta salad was ok. Small pimento cheese $12. Coffee in cup that drips from being too hot. 2 croissants were good. I heard customer in front of me with different cashier by coffee bar have to confront her on correct change back. I'm Chicago city girl with split residency and I find these prices outrageous and customer service leaving me not going back for awhile. Bummer. Update to farmette's response: I find it troublesome the blame is being put on kids, when you clearly didn't have a sign posted on the tall racks of focaccia, but you did on similar racks 2 feet behind counter of sourdough breads prices $13-16 a loaf. Your manipulation of a sign on counter that it's a child's fault is ridiculous. The point is- it is way overpriced and you are attempting to take advantage of customer without them knowing, and now claim it's the children's fault, you are aware but havent fixed issue. When issue is sign wasn't on tall racks like other breads. Just like the scale not working and over charging for a peach. Ir coffee cashier shorting other customer on money. I don't need a refund, I spent $60 today at your store. It's the sneakiness, rude customer service, and now lack of accountability/twisting facts blaming families from a manager/owner. We are so excited for Farmette to open! It has an incredibly inviting atmosphere and you can tell so much detail and thought was out into the space. The coffee was great and there were plenty of comfortable places to sit. It's really cool seeing the garden where the produce is grown and our kids loved running around the outside area. We got to meet the owner, Katie, and it was great hearing about her background and how passionate she is. Farmette is such a welcomed addition to the area and we can't wait to go back. read more

Good coffee fresh baked goods local produce and croissants. I love being able to get up in the morning and get a good coffee and a fresh croissant. Nice outdoor space as well. They also sometimes have fresh baguettes from Bit of Swiss. read more
