They have a decent Italian sub here, the bread is soft. They carry my favorite French butter cookies that Cheese Lady no longer carries, as well as some other good gourmet items. Sides were all good but I preferred the potato salad and bowtie pasta over the coleslaw. I would avoid coming in on Sundays if you do not want sandwiches out of the cold case. They said that they get their deliveries on Sundays so they are busy and seem to be trying to avoid making the sandwiches fresh, which is exactly what I am coming in for, not one that has been sitting in the fridge for who knows how long. Anything that has dressing on it can get soggy and I do not want cold bread. They will tell you to check the fridge for cold sandwiches. They had to make mine fresh because there were none left in the fridge. Sunday in the summer is probably not the best day to get deliveries, if they have options. Parking in this area sucks during the summer. I got a close spot but good luck getting out of it.

I really enjoyed my lox bagel and thought it was one of the best I've had!! The flavors were nicely balanced with the onion, capers, cream cheese and lox. I was able to eat it easily and get a little piece of everything in each bite. The bagels seem smaller than average, but who needs giant bagels anyway? I found these to be reasonably sized. Big overstuffed bagels that fall apart while you eat them - lox sliding all over the place - are really annoying. These were satisfying without making you feel gross after. The coffee selection exceeded our expectations. We shared a chemex for 2. They had a few single origin coffees to choose from and we had their pink bourbon Columbian. We enjoyed our coffee and bagels outside in their seating area and this was once of my favorite parts of our trip! We didn't have to wait too long, but as we were finishing, a long line was forming down the block. Consider getting there a little early!

For lunch I had a turkey sandwich with potato salad on the side. I didn't care for the potato salad. The turkey quality was good! Note they offer half sandwiches.

Such a cute cafe! Delicious food and coffee with an adorably decorated interior…read more My family and I visited Issa Vibe on the way through to Union Pier. When entering the restaurant we were immediately greeted by staff and were advised to grab a menu from the nearby wall. Orders are placed at the counter, food and coffee. They also provide an estimate on wait-time for coffee and food based on level of orders currently placed. We were given a buzzer and advised that our name would be called for both coffee and food. The bourbon vanilla Madagascar latte was delicious, I loved that the coffee flavor was not overpowered by homemade coffee syrup. The paninis were delicious and very filling! They come with a side salad or kettle chips.

I ordered the pesto egg panini alongside a pistachio iced latte. The panini was the standout--fresh bread, flavorful pesto, ripe tomatoes, and a well-balanced combination of flavors. The pistachio latte, however, could use a little refinement. I'd love to see pistachio cream incorporated instead of a liquid syrup, which could give the drink more body, richness, and a more pronounced pistachio flavor. Overall, a great café experience with plenty of personality and a menu worth exploring.

Suggested the basil lemon chicken for two -claimed they had to bring back on menu by popular demand. Unfortunately, chicken was unpalatable. Waitress asked if we wanted it boxed we said "no we did not care for it." She then commented "some people in the past didn't care for it either. It has a certain flavor." Being a store owner of 12 retail chicago locations, I did not feel it was handled properly. I always appreciates customer calling me direct with an issue. The dessert brownie tasted more like a dried piece of chocolate cake, which we did not eat after 1bite. I called the next day to share with the manager. The hostess from the night before , actually remembered us, said the manager would get back to us, she would relay our experience. Never heard back. It's going to be hard to recommend the restaurant to our Chicago relatives & friends who visit & stay in New Buffalo all year long.

I love animals, so it didn't bother me that we were seated between 2 tables both with large dogs that were almost on us. But, for non dog people, it might be nice to have an area without. The vibes & decor is so cute. Mid century modern with pastel colors. Reminds me of Palm Springs. Our server was so sweet & offered menu suggestions. For a drink, I went with the post limon beer. It was so refreshing. Seriously one of my favorites for summer. Shareable plates is the way to go. We got to try more menu items. We started with the bread service. It came with whipped hot honey butter. So good. Next was the watermelon salad with cucumber, jalapeños, and Cojita cheese. Refreshing & delicious. Last up was the chicken sando & Cajun seasoned French fries with an aioli. The sandwich was crispy & the bun was soft. I loved it. The fries were crispy & perfect. The amount of fries was great, but I could have had more of the aioli or ketchup also. We didn't get dessert, although the 3 on the menu looked amazing. Maybe next time. Can't wait to come back.

The prices were a bit intense. I paid $7 for a piece of Indian roti - too expensive. It's a pity that the experience was what it was, because the venue is great. Overall, I wouldn't go back.

I was really excited to finally try The Stray Dog after hearing so many good things and seeing all…read morethe great reviews. We don't live in the area, but happened to be nearby and decided to give it a shot. The entire place was packed, which says a lot about how popular it is, and we ended up waiting close to an hour for a table. Once we were seated, we were fortunate enough to get a table on the rooftop. The weather was absolutely perfect, and even though it was after sunset by the time we sat down, it was such a comfortable, beautiful and relaxing setting. That was definitely a highlight. We started with the cheese curds, and those were excellent--great flavor and a decent portion. My wife ordered the fish tacos and really enjoyed them. I went with the spicy chicken sandwich. (Our server said it was a popular choice) The sauce had a really good kick without overpowering the flavor, but Unfortunately, the chicken portion was pretty small for a $15 sandwich and didn't fill the bun very well, so I left feeling like it wasn't particularly filling. The fries were an additional $5 and were pretty underwhelming--very basic, thin, run-of-the-mill fries without much seasoning. For comparison, Hancock in Grand Rapids is one of my favorite spots for a chicken sandwich, and their chicken is significantly larger and more substantial. The fish tacos and cheese curds were the bright spots for us, but overall, I felt the food was a little overpriced for the portions and what we received. The small side of guacamole for around $3 was another example--it was essentially a very small sauce-sized portion. The service was also a little disappointing at the end of the night. I completely understand that it had been a busy day and that it was getting late, so I try to give some grace there. But as we were leaving, there was a group of servers gathered near the stairs talking amongst themselves, and no one really acknowledged us or said thank you or have a good night. Having been in management myself, I've always felt that whether someone is your first customer of the day or your last, you want them walking out feeling like you appreciated that they chose your establishment. It was a small thing, but it unfortunately left an impression. With all of that said, I wouldn't discourage anyone from trying The Stray. It's clearly a popular spot, the atmosphere is great, and there were definitely things we enjoyed. Maybe we just didn't order the right dishes this time around. Given how many great things I've heard, I'd be willing to give it another shot and try some of the other menu options. 2.5 stars
